Eat Bulaga Pinoy Henyo contestant ilang beses napamura sa national television

For almost 18 years, Eat Bulaga’s segment Pinoy Henyo became part of the noontime fun of Filipinos.

The said parlor game became popular and even imitated by Filipinos during special occasions because of its difficulty.

For the first time in its history, Pinoy Henyo recently faced controversy after two contestants allegedly tried to cheat during the game.

The said segment faced another issue after a contestant cursed in the middle of the game several times live on national television.

Erica and her partner Raven during the said episode were playing during the jackpot round of Pinoy Henyo and they were visibly being pressured by the difficulty of the words they needed to guest.

The couple failed to guess the first two words during the game while the third word “Boracay” has been correctly answered by Erica.

Meanwhile, Raven failed to guess the fourth word ‘Kara David’.

Erica became intense during her turn while trying to guess the fifth and final word ‘Mosquito’.

It can be seen that Erica was repeatedly trying to guess the correct word and can be heard saying bad words.

The hosts of the show were trying to stop the contestant but she kept saying the same word.

Because of badmouthing several times, their time limit has been shortened.

Joey de Leon, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, and the others quickly approached Erica and reminded about her badmouthing.

Erica quickly apologized for her actions.

“Sorry po sa mga nanonood, hindi po ‘yun totoo joke lang. Nadala lang po,” she said.

Netizens couldn’t hide their amazement after a father and son coincidentally won the jackpot prize for the MegaLotto 6/45 with the winning odds of 1 in 8,145,060.

In a Facebook post, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office shared that the winner during the February 27 draw was a father and his son who split the P11.6-M prize.

In an interview with News5, the father said that his son bet to the same combination he was taking care of.

“Meron akong pinuntahan sa may Plaza, tumaya ako ng 1pm tapos pagbalik ko sa sasakyan ko bandang 3pm, tumaya ulit ako ng parehong number. Paguwi ko sa bahay ibinigay ko sa kanya sabi ko tig-isa tayo kapag tumama hati tayo,” he narrated.

His son also explained that he the winning combination of 25-4-11-35-15-09 consisted of their ages and birthdays.

They’re thankful to PCSO for giving them a chance to become a millionaire.

According to the father, he couldn’t believe that he won the lotto until he received the cheque from PCSO.

“Salamat po sa PCSO, sa loob ng mahigit 30 years kong pagtaya ay ginawa nyo akong Milyonaryo tsaka naniniwala na ako ngayon na totoo pala na may nananalo ng jackpot, dati kasi may agam-agam ako pero heto na ako ngayon hawak ko na ang tseke na nagpapatunay na nanalo ako. Salamat sa ating Panginoon.” he said.

The son also addressed the speculations that they didn’t win the jackpot.

Eat Bulaga creative staff, reportedly receive ‘notice to retire’ from TAPE Inc. executives

Despite the reports that the executives of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga already decided to stop the rumored rebranding of the program, some news outlets continued to report that the internal issue between its official is not yet over.

In a report by Bilyonaryo.com, the chairman of Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) former lawmaker Romy Jalosjos is still in the works to rebrand the show by allegedly forcing the creative staff of Eat Bulaga to retire.

The report also said that some staff already received a notice about their retirement, but they can still return to work if they’re willing to accept a lower position and reduced salary.

They also added that some staff wanted to file charges against the executives of Tape for forcing them to retire after decades of being loyal to the company.

It can be recalled that there were rumors that Jalosjos wanted the founding producer of Eat Bulaga, Tony Tuviera to retire from his position.

Tuviera reportedly gained the support of the current Eat Bulaga hosts including its foundations, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

If the rumored rebranding has been pushed, there were also reports that most of the hosts of the noontime show may resign and create their show to rival Eat Bulaga.

Tape was set to hold a press conference on April 15 to clarify all the issues surrounding Eat Bulaga.

Trending ‘Grilled Balut’ ligtas kainin kahit na mayroong nakalalason na Hydrogen Sulfide

The craze of the Filipinos about ‘Grilled Balut’ continued and many businesses decided to sell the said street food because of its continuous popularity.

But some netizens revealed that the said exotic street food was producing Hydrogen Sulfide, a highly toxic gas that may irritate the respiratory tract and other parts of the body.

The long-term impact of Hydrogen Sulfide may also cause headaches, reduced attention span, and motor functions.

However, the Philippine Association of Food Technologists said that people should not worry to the amount of Hydrogen Sulfide present in grilled balut.

“Although this post was meant to inform consumers about the associated health risk, it seems to be misleading. While the explained science in the post is true, the conclusion was taken out of context.” the group statement reads.

“The proteins of the egg whites contain sulfur that reacts with hydrogen during the heating of eggs, resulting in the formation of H2S. Although a known toxic gas, especially during exposure at moderate to high concentrations, H2S is released in such small amounts that it cannot pose any health risks. For additional context, the highest H2S concentration that can be produced by an egg is around 0.2 ppm which happens when the egg is already rotten. Meanwhile, the allowable exposure limit for H2S is 20 ppm and must reach a concentration of 100 ppm in order to cause dangerous effects on health and life.

“Additionally, as the heating prolongs, H2S goes inwards towards the egg yolk due to the decreased solubility of the egg white. This gas reacts with the iron subsequently released from the yolk during heating, forming iron sulfide. This dark-greenish tinge observed on the surface of the yolk due to overcooking may taste and appear unappealing, but it is not considered detrimental to human health.”

The post of the group already reached 5,300 shares as of writing.
