Kakai Bautista explains why she’s still single at 44-years-old: “Hindi ka kayang buhayin ng pag-ibig lang”

Comedian Kakai Bautista shared with her followers why she decided to remain single despite being already 44 years old.

In a Facebook post, Kakai said that sometimes she’s also considering finding the love of her life, however, she’s also thinking of her finances.

“Minsan gusto din talagang lumandi at mamamsin ng lalake pero kapag naiisip ko yung mga bayarin, gusto ko pang ma-achieve para sa sarili ko, NAGIGISING ako sa KATOTOHANANG di ko kailangan ng LALAKE para sumaya. Kailangan ko pera,” Kakai said.

Her statement received mixed reactions from some netizens, saying that she must build her family now before it’s already too late.

“Kung Ayaw mong mag asawa atleast mag pa anak ka nalang.mahirap tumanda mag isa super hirap maniwala ka.aanhin mo ang lahat ng pinagpaguran mo kung mag isa kalang.wag mo isipin ang mga bayarin tatanda kang mag isa tlaga.pag may rayuma kana walang hihilot ng sakit walang maghaplas sa likod mo,” netizen Cristy said.

However, Kakai said that she’s financially capable to hire people that would take care of her once she grows old.

“Kaya kong magbayad ng mag-aalaga sa akin. HINDI AKO MAG-AANAK para obligahin silang MAG-ALAGA sa akin sa PAGTANDA ko. Aalagaan ko sila at palalakihin sa mindset na Magkukusa sila,” she responded.

In another post, Kakai made clarifications about her beliefs, saying that love cannot feed a family and partners should be also financially independent.

“Don’t get me wrong, naniniwala padin ako sa Wagas na Pag-ibig. Di na nga lang ako niniwala na kaya kang buhayin ng PAG-IBIG lang. Both men and women should be financially independent and stable before going into a serious relationship or marriage.” Kakai said.

“Napakapangit pag-awayan ang wala kang ipapangdate, igagastos sa kasal, ipapakain sa mga anak mo, ipapang-aral at ipapang-ospital kung may magkasakit.” she added.

Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros who were popularly known as ‘JoWaPao’ and believed to be the successor of the legendary trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon narrated how they felt when TVJ suddenly announced their resignation from TAPE Inc. last May 31, 2023.

In an interview with News5, JoWaPao said that they were clueless during those time that it was already their last day working as Eat Bulaga host.

According to Paolo, they already felt that something big would happen on that day when TAPE Inc. already disallow them to air live.

“Ako ay gulong-gulo sa kung ano ang nangyayari. Bilang ako ay isang clueless. I chose peace. Hindi ko alam kung ang mangyayari siyempre. Pumasok kami para mag-work, likw we usually do, like we all do. Ako for 22 years ng buhay ko mas higit pa sa kalahati ng buhay ko. Sa araw-araw sa Eat Bulaga. Same usual day tapos ‘yun na nga, biglang hindi na raw magla-live and stuff. Anyare ta’s gulong-gulo,” said Paolo.

“Puzzled syempre, gulong-gulo. Gulong-gulo. Iniisip ko after that nung nag-sign off kami, iniisip ko sa’n ako kakain ng libreng lunch,” Wally joked.

While felt pressured, Jose said that he fully trusted the judgment made by TVJ during that day.

“Sa’kin ano e, pressure ‘yung nangyayari sa loob. ‘Yun nga basta sinabi hindi kami eere. Ako sa part ko, hindi naman ako masyadong nag-worry kasi andun ‘yung TVJ.” said Jose. “Alam naman nating hindi kami pababayaan kung anumang sitwasyon, sila naman yung haharap at siguradong magiging maayos naman so, kung anumang pinaplano alam naming tama ‘yung desisyon nila. So, pinaubaya naming lahat. Hindi makakalimutan ‘yung prayers. ‘Yun ang sitwasyon nu’n” 

It can be recalled that Tito denied that they were supposed to resign on that day and only discussed their future plans.

However, the decision of TAPE Inc. to disallow them to air made them quickly decide to just resign from the show.

 

TAPE Inc. asks netizens to give chance to their new talents: “Bigyan niyo naman po ng pagkakataon”

Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos addressed the criticisms being received by the new hosts of Eat Bulaga.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, Jalosjos said that televiewers should give a chance to their new talents consisting of Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, and Alexa Miro.

According to him, they only wanted to give happiness to the public after the original hosts of Eat Bulaga left last May 31.

“For all the bashers, sana naman po bigyan n’yo naman po ng pagkakataon ang mga talents namin na ipakita naman po, mapasaya ang mga taong-bayan during this time,” said Jalosjos.

“Wala po kaming hangarin kung hindi magbigay saya sa ating mga taong-bayan at manunuod.” he added.

It can be recalled that thousands of Eat Bulaga fans criticized the said hosts and even swarmed their social media pages to express their dissatisfaction.

Some even accused them of trying to rival the original hosts, but Paolo already denied it, saying that they only wanted to help people.

It was reported that Isko Moreno and Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol would also become an addition to the new hosts of the show to maintain its number one ratings in the noontime slot.

The manager of former Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso confirmed that the actor-politician would appear on Eat Bulaga this Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Aside from Moreno, Herlene Budol also known as ‘Hipon Girl’ reportedly became one of the new hosts of the controversial noontime show.

Manager Wowie Roxas confirmed Moreno’s appearance this Saturday.

As of writing, Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) has yet to confirm if the two would become permanent hosts of the show and replacements for the original host of Eat Bulaga who left on May 31, 2023.

The rebranded version of Eat Bulaga was currently being hosted by Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, and Buboy Villar who is now called ‘BuLoTong’ as a counterpart to the legendary TVJ consisting of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

Meanwhile, some remaining fans of Eat Bulaga praised the move by TAPE Inc. to get Moreno and Budol as their new possible hosts as they’re both famous among the masses.

The noontime show remained number one in noontime show ratings this week despite the controversies being faced by TAPE.

However, the ratings rivalry might change its course if ever that former Eat Bulaga hosts who transferred to TV5 finally started their new show that would rival the Kapuso program.

“Diego wala ka pa sa posisyon na pupuwede mong gawin ang ganyan. Ang pamilya mo ay mahal ko. Ang nanay mo ay mahal ko. Kahit minsan sinuman sa pamilya Loyzaga, wala akong kinakitaan ng kabastusan. Ikaw ang bukod-tanging Loyzaga na bastos. At iyan ay kaya kong panindigan kahit saan tayo makarating. Dalawang beses mo nang ginawa yan, hindi na yan mauulit Diego Loyzaga.” sabi pa niya.

Former Eat Bulaga host Wally Bayola revealed his issues with Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

In an interview with MJ Marfori, he was asked to stay in Eat Bulaga but still chooses his loyalty over Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

“Kung nasan ang TVJ, andoon ako, tapos at the same time at naramdaman ko na ‘yung mga changes.” Wally said.

He also noticed changes in the show that made him decide to leave, including the absence of Eat Bulaga founding producer Tony Tuviera.

“Hindi na namin nakikita si Mr. T, wala na kaming makasabay na boss na halos kumakain na kasabay namin, na ‘yung nonsense ‘yung pinag-uusapan, alam mo ‘yung pamilya niya talaga kami.. yung nafe-feel mo na alaga ka talaga ng boss mo,” Wally said.

“So nung parang nawala na si Mr. T, nalulungkot ako.” he added.

Wally noticed the changes to the management of Eat Bulaga when he discovered that he was being deducted 30% from his talent fee.

“Akala ko 10% lang ‘yung nababawas sa sweldo ko, ay 30 [percent] pala. Ako personally hindi ako mareklamo talaga eh, tahimik lang ako,” he said.

According to him, all Eat Bulaga host has been deducted 30% from their salary.

As of writing TAPE Inc. has yet to confirm the claims made by Wally.

Awra Briguela may banat kay Ricci Rivero: “Akala mo ang linis!”

Awra Briguela couldn’t stop himself from criticizing Ricci Rivero after the latter released a statement confirming his breakup with Andrea Brillantes.

On June 9, 2023, Ricci confirmed the end of his relationship with Andrea and asked the netizens to stop speculating about the reason for their breakup.

“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what were going through. Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve whats left of our friendship,” Ricci said.

Arnold Clavio reacted to the statement made by Vice President Sara Duterte against House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

It can be recalled that Duterte denied that Romualdez tried to convince her to run for the higher office.

“Speaker Martin Romualdez had absolutely nothing to do with my decision to run for Vice President. To say that he “tremendously helped in pushing for” my Vice President is acutely inaccurate,” she said.

However, in his Instagram post, Arnold posted a video in 2022, where Duterte can be seen praising Romualdez and recognizing the contribution of the House Speaker in her campaign.

Ai-Ai delas Alas defended Eat Bulaga host Betong Sumaya after the latter received criticisms from netizens for accepting the offer from TAPE Inc.

In a Facebook post, Ai-Ai sympathized with the criticisms being received by Betong for just accepting the hosting gig for the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga.

“Nakita kita sa tiktok malungkot ka, mahirap talaga yang sitwasyon nyo ngayun, bilang mang gagawa alam ko sumusunod kalang syempre , mabait kang tao , ma respeto sa senior sa yo.. isa ka sa mabait na artist na nakilala ko,” said Ai-Ai.

“Dasal lang at tibayan mo ang loob mo ..pag nalulungkot ka isipin mo na lang ilang beses ba naten kakantahin ang in New York Rio Tokyo –“or any other place you see, you feel that dancing fantasy” na hindi tayo nag kakamali sa phrasing haha. God bless you ipag patuloy mo lang na maging mabait si Lord ang bahala,” she added.

However, not all netizens were delighted by Ai-Ai’s post and reminded her that she’s also close to TVJ.

“Wow nakisimpatya ka sa kanya pero sa tvj hindi kala ko ba malapit ka sa tvj mas higit na mas masakit ang ngyare sa tvj kase 44 yrs ang pinaguusapan.” netizen Anne said.
