Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno pumirma ng long-term contract bilang host ng Eat Bulaga

Paolo Contis and Isko Moreno signed a long-term contract with Eat Bulaga and Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

In the photos posted by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, Moreno and Contis can be shown holding the contract they signed together with Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Vice President Ms. Joy Marcelo, Senior Talent Manager Ms. Tracy Garcia, TAPE’s Chief Financial Officer Seth Frederick Pal Jalosjos, Chief Executive Officer Jon Jalosjos, and Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque.

The signing between TAPE Inc. and Sparkle debunked the speculations about the possible end of Eat Bulaga on July 29.

Meanwhile, several netizens, especially fans of the original Eat Bulaga, couldn’t hide their disappointment after reading the announcement.

Some even said that Paolo should start sending a part of the money he received from the contract to his children.

Meanwhile, netizens are waiting to see if other Eat Bulaga hosts like Buboy Villar would also receive the same privilege from TAPE Inc.

Willie Revillame reportedly offers TAPE Inc. of noontime slot sharing between Wowowin and Eat Bulaga

Talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz talked about the offer allegedly made by Willie Revillame to the executives of TAPE Inc.

In his online show, Ogie said that Willie offered TAPE Inc. a noontime slot sharing between ‘Wowowin’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’.

It means that Willie allegedly wanted TAPE Inc. to give him 60 to 90 minutes to air his show.

However, Ogie stated that TAPE Inc. refused the offer, saying that the rebranded Eat Bulaga was already doing good.

According to him, Willie was facing difficulties in his planned comeback on television because of the few timeslots available on every network.

The talent manager also talked about the different versions being circulated about Willie’s meeting with TAPE.

Ogie also said that there are not enough public sentiments calling for Willie’s return to television, a sign that the star of the television host has faded already.

As of writing, Willie has yet to give any statement about his plan to return as a tv host.

Paolo Contis admits that his dream is to become ‘TVJ’: “Pangarap kong maging host”

Eat Bulaga host Paolo Contis talked about the motivation he felt since he started hosting the longest-running noontime show.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Paolo was thankful to TAPE Inc. for giving him the opportunity to become one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga.

But according to him, he also thought of the new criticisms he was going to receive after accepting the role.

However, he still accepted the offer because only a few had been given a chance to host Eat Bulaga.

Paolo also said that despite being new hosts, they still needed to be part of Eat Bulaga’s continuation by recognizing that they’re already 44 years. But it doesn’t mean that he’s already claiming the legacy left by the original hosts.

He also accepted the comments made by the people, especially by Vic Sotto, who said that the new hosts of Eat Bulaga might get better after 44 years.

“Hindi naman namin ma-perfect ‘yun agad. Sabi nga ni Bossing, baka after 44 years gumaling na rin kami, and hopefully mabigyan kami ng ganong pagkakataon. Baka that time magaling na nga talaga kami,” he said.

He insisted that people should not call them ‘Fake’ Eat Bulaga hosts but ‘new’ Dabarkads.

The controversial actor also said that he really wanted to be like ‘TVJ’ someday.

“Lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko, I want this to work,” said Paolo.

“Pangarap kong maging host. Pangarap kong maging TVJ and I got this opportunity,” he added.

Paolo Contis responds to people who ask him to send financial support before giving prizes: “Hindi ko naman pera yon”

Eat Bulaga host Paolo Contis responded to his critics who asked him to send financial support to his children first before giving away prizes in the said noontime show.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Paolo said that he couldn’t believe that some people believed that the money he was giving away was his own money which fuels the speculation that he’s prioritizing giving financial support to other people over his own children.

According to him, the prizes he was giving away came from the production and sponsors of Eat Bulaga.

Akin? Pera ko? Budget ng show ‘yun e,” Paolo said.

“Alam mo ang pangit ng sasabihin ko, maaano na naman to pero pag makikita mo… b*b*,” he added.

It can be recalled that several popular figures, including Rendon Labador, said the same thing, but Paolo denied that his message was mean to the motivational speaker.

“I hope you get the point, Eat Bulaga budget yan, hindi po ‘yan sakin,” he said.

He also said that he chose to keep his silence over the issue of his children because he wanted them to have a peaceful life away from showbiz.

Lolit Solis claims Willie Revillame criticizing Eat Bulaga hosts during meeting with TAPE: “Tirador talaga”

Talent manager and veteran showbiz reporter Lolit Solis revealed information about the meeting of television host Willie Revillame with executives of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

In her column, Solis claimed that during the said meeting, Willie made negative comments against Eat Bulaga hosts.

She even hinted that the said comments of Revillame were the reason why the supposed guesting of the television host on Eat Bulaga last July 1 didn’t happen.

The said claims made by Solis were far from the information obtained by another veteran columnist Cristy Fermin who said that Revillame was the one who refused the offer from TAPE Inc.

Yun ang sinabi niya,” Fermin said

Lolit Solis believes that Willie Revillame is already ‘laos’: ‘Wala man lang naghahanap sa kanya’

Talent manager and showbiz columnist Lolit Solis couldn’t imagine that television host Willie Revillame’s star would fade away one day.

In her Instagram post, Lolit said she was saddened by the current status of Willie’s career, who recently came from a failed stint on AllTV.

According to her, signs of Willie’s fading popularity were already showing, including the television host’s alleged difficulty in finding another network.

She even stated that no one talked about ‘Kuya Wil’ during the heat of the discussion between noontime shows.

She even said that it’s better for Willie to retire completely and just enjoy the wealth he accumulated during the height of his career.

It can be recalled that Revillame became the closest rival of Eat Bulaga for almost a decade.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin discussed how the netizens compared John Lloyd Cruz to Paolo Contis when it comes to being a father.

In her online show, Cristy and her co-host Rommel Chika talked about Ellen Adarna’s revelation about the financial support being sent by John Lloyd to their child Elias.

It can be recalled that Ellen narrated how she told John Lloyd that he only needed to send P10,000 monthly to Elias, but the actor insisted on doubling it.

“When he asked me, how much does Elias need, I gave him a breakdown of his basic needs, just his basic needs, and that’s 10,000 pesos max.” said Ellen.

“I know he’s more than capable of giving more than that, but I told him I cannot accept anything more than PHP20,000, and that’s it. I also have, because we are co-parenting, I have my obligations and responsibilities for Elias, so it’s just fair,” she added.

Meanwhile, Paolo admitted in an interview that he’s not sending child support to his three children, Xonia, Xalene, and Summer.

“It’s a mistake na nasimulan ko ever since before na hindi ako nakapagbigay,” said Paolo.

“But ever since na nagtrabaho ako ng maayos, unti-unti akong naglalagay ng account para kay Xonia, kay Xylene, pati kay Summer.” he added.

Cristy then read the comments from her followers, who couldn’t stop themselves from criticizing Paolo.

‘Yung kumustahin,” the columnist said.

TV5’s noontime show ‘E.A.T’ rating continued to decrease amid complaints from the televiewers about the program’s lack of segment and content.

According to the data released by Nielsen Philippines, E.A.T’s rating decreased by 0.2% on July 6, 2023, while its competitor Eat Bulaga increased its viewership by 0.2%

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s noontime show It’s Showtime’s rating didn’t move.

Some netizens attributed the continuous decrease of E.A.T to the show’s lack of segment and content.

According to them, they felt empty while watching the two-and-a-half-hour program.

“I love dabarkads but his Da Bar segments pang studio audience lang not for tv viewers, kung wala sina Allan, Carren at guest singer boring siya. Mas maganda kung ilagay na lang siya tuwing Saturday time for family gathering #EATTV5,” netizen Kimberly commented.

However, several fans were hopeful that the noontime show produced by TVJ Productions would introduce more segments this coming Saturday, including Sugod Bahay.

“Ok na sana yung buong show pero bumalik uli sa kantahan at may pacontest pa. Ang bakya lang ng datingan eh. Pinahaba nyo na lang sana yung babala wag ganun if may sobrang time kung d pa pwede yung sugodbahay,” netizen @carmexislife suggested.

Former actress Sabrina M. reveals her secret relationship with Rico Yan: “After Claudine, naging kami”

After 24 years, former actress Sabrina M. revealed her secret relationship with late actor Rico Yan.

During a media conference on July 6, Sabrina said that she and Rico decided to keep their relationship secret because of their different image.

According to her, she had a relationship with Rico when the actor broke up with Claudine Barretto.

“Ang image ni Rico Yan is wholesome. So better kung nagkaroon man kami ng relasyon, itinago na lang namin yun,” the actress said.

She even narrated the challenges she faced while having a relationship with Rico, including the comments from the actor’s fans.

“Napakabait ni Rico Yan. After Claudine, naging kami ni Rico Yan. Matagal kaming nagkarelasyon. Taon. Rico Yan yan eh?

Sabrina also insisted that Rico already broke up with Claudine even before they started their relationship.

She said that Claudine and Rico even made a movie, even if they’re already separated.

As of writing, Claudine has yet to give any response to the revelation made by Sabrina.

It can be recalled that Rico passed away in 2002 while on vacation in Palawan.

Sabrina said that she never went to Palawan when she heard the news and only waited for Rico’s body to be transferred to Manila.

She was also present during the burial of Rico and even offered flowers to the actor, while Claudine reportedly kept her distance.

Paolo Contis reveals a big surprise at the 44th anniversary celebration of Eat Bulaga: “Malamang maba-bash na naman kami,”

Paolo Contis denied that news that ‘Eat Bulaga’ was set to stop airing on July 29 amid the reports about the noontime show’s lack of sponsors.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Paolo debunked the rumor and even said that they’re preparing to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the show that would be held on the same date.

Paolo refused to elaborate on their surprises this upcoming 44th anniversary of Eat Bulaga.

But he already expected that they were going to receive criticism again from the netizens.

“Malamang maba-bash na naman kami,” the actor said.

Contis also said that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) officials were satisfied with the number of sponsors, the performance of their talents, and their talents so there’s no reason for Eat Bulaga to end.

It can be recalled that veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed the said information, asking TAPE Inc. to clarify the issue.

TAPE Inc. then released a statement saying that there was no truth about the circulating rumors.

“‘Eat Bulaga’ segments are doing great, lalo na yung segment ni Yorme [Isko Moreno] and Buboy [Villar],” Atty. Maggie Garduque of TAPE Inc. said.
