‘History repeats itself’ Cristy Fermin not surprised with Kris Aquino and Mark Leviste’s breakup

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin said she was not surprised after she heard about the breakup between Kris Aquino and Mark Leviste.

In her program “Cristy Ferminute,” the showbiz reporter discussed the announcement made by Kris, saying that she could no longer maintain her relationship with Mark because of the distance between them.

“I asked Marc for a pause because with my condition the way it is now, i’m self aware enough to know that a long distance relationship will be next to impossible for us to maintain,” said Kris.

Fermin said she already expected Kris and Mark’s relationship to end because the television host was known for her unfortunate love life.

“Alam mo si Kris Aquino, mas magugulat pa ako kung mayroong lumusot na daga dito sa harapan ko ngayon. Pero ‘yung makipagrelasyon si Kris tapos biglang brinake at wala na tapos na, wala na, hindi na ako magugulat.” the columnist said.

“Ilang beses ko na bang nasaksihan ‘yan at tayong lahat po ay saksi sa kuwento ni Kris na paulit-ulit na lang… Nakakagulat pa ba ‘to? May bago pa ba? Waley! History repeats itself,” she added.

It can be recalled that Kris also had a relationship with Alvin Patriomonio, Gabby Concepcion, Philip Salvador, Joey Marquez, James Yap, and Mel Sarmiento.

 

Joey de Leon takes a swipe against TAPE Inc. on national television: ‘Yung mga peke, tigil na kayo’

E.A.T host Joey de Leon couldn’t stop himself from taking a swipe against Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) and rebranded Eat Bulaga.

During one of the episodes of TV5’s top-rated noontime show, Joey was set to introduce their celebrity guests for their segment ‘Babala! “Wag Kayong Ganun”, when he proudly proclaimed that they were the legitimate ones.

“Legit, kami legit.” said Joey. “‘Yung mga alam niya na, peke, baliktarin niyo ‘yung legit, tigil na kayo,” 

While talking to their celebrity guests Karla Estrada and Alex Calleja, who were part of the talk show Face-to-Face, Joey complained about some shows that have been using their title.

It can be recalled that face-to-face featured feuds between two camps, and its hosts were tasked to give advice and reconcile the guests of the show. That’s why Joey also tried to ask for some help from the face-to-face hosts.

“Ang sitwasyon natin ngayon ay tungkol sa mga shows na ginagamit ‘yung pangalan namin,” Joey said.

“Naawa ako sa mga ganung tao eh, mga walang sariling pag-iisip,” he added.

Netizens quickly guessed that Joey was referring to TAPE Inc’s continuous usage of Eat Bulaga title.

Joey, who claimed to be the one who created the title ‘Eat Bulaga,’ was reportedly having a trademark dispute with TAPE Inc.

TAPE Inc. already registered the Eat Bulaga title in 2011, but Joey said that they’re not aware with the filing made by their former production company.

Kakai Bautista, may mensahe kay Rendon Labador: “Mukha talaga akong pera, Lahat ng tao mukhang pera”

Singer-comedian Kakai Bautista made a response to motivational speaker Rendon Labador, who called her ‘mukhang pera’ after she posted her explanation on why she remained single at the age of 44.

In her Facebook post on June 4, Kakai said that she decided to remain single because she wanted to maintain her financial stability and stated that ‘love cannot feed her’.

In another post, she stood with her post, saying that she’s only looking for someone who’s financially independent like her.

“Napakapangit pag-awayan ang wala kang ipapangdate, igagastos sa kasal, ipapakain sa mga anak mo, ipapang-aral at ipapang-ospital kung may magkasakit.” she said.

However, the motivational speaker accused Kakai of being picky despite her appearance.

“Hindi ka na nga maganda mukha ka pang pera,” said Rendon.

In an interview, Kakai admitted that she’s indeed ‘mukhang pera,’ like most people.

According to her, she wanted to prioritize her family first before looking for someone.

“Mukha talaga akong pera. Sino bang hindi mukhang pera? Naku lahat ng tao mukhang pera. Jusko hindi tayo makakakain kung wala tayong pera. Ano ‘to, ‘di ba? So, depende ‘yun sa tao kung hanggang saan ‘yung pagiging mukhang pera niya. Kung gagamitin niya ba ‘yun sa masama o mabuti. ‘Di ba mukha akong pera kasi maraming umaasa sa akin at marami akong gustong matulungan lalo na ‘yung family ko,” she explained.

 

Tito Sotto reacts to TAPE’s decision to celebrate Eat Bulaga’s 44th anniversary: ‘Walang silang karapatan’

E.A.T host Tito Sotto expressed his dismay over the plan of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Eat Bulaga on July 29.

It can be recalled that current Eat Bulaga co-hosts Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, and Betong Sumaya have already been preparing for the upcoming noontime show’s anniversary celebration.

In a text he sent to the media, Sotto said that TAPE Inc. has no right to celebrate the longevity of Eat Bulaga because the original hosts had already left the show.

“Kami orig na may karapatan mag-celebrate. From TAPE people and current hosts, none of them were there 44 years ago,” said Sotto.

According to him, the ‘Legit Dabarkads’ were planning to celebrate Eat Bulaga’s 44th anniversary on their show E.A.T.

“Ano itatapat nila eh wala naman sila doon in the last 43 years? Feb lang pumasok mga new officers then June ito mga bagitong hosts,” he said.

Paolo already confirmed that they’re already set to celebrate the 44th year of Eat Bulaga, but he refused to reveal more details about the event.

“Malamang maba-bash na naman kami,” said Paolo.

Atty. Maggie Garduque of TAPE Inc. also said that they’re planning to continue airing Eat Bulaga as long as people are watching it.

“Ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ ay para sa tao at hanggang maraming manonood, ang tumatangkilik, patuloy ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa pagbibigay ng saya at tulong sa mga kababayan natin,” she said.

Former Eat Bulaga host Alden Richards ended his silence over the decision of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the rest of the Dabarkads to leave TAPE Inc. and GMA Network.

During a press conference for his upcoming show “Battle of the Judges,” Alden admitted that he was saddened by the decision made by his former colleagues to transfer to TV5, especially since they became part of his life and career as a Kapuso artist.

“Personally, I was of course very sad, na yun nga, of course, the whole management decided to transfer to a different network. I love these people dearly. Ang tagal ko po silang kasama. It’s a good six, seven years of my entire career. I’m 11, turning 12 years in the industry. So most likely, kalahati ng buhay ko nasa Eat Bulaga po ako.” Alden said.

Alden said that the situation was beyond his control, but still he maintained a good relationship with the Dabarkads who were currently hosting E.A.T.

“So siyempre, of course, wala po akong karapatang makialam sa desisyon ng management ng parehong kampo dahil isa lamang po akong empleyado. Pero kumbaga, kung sa personal ko pong damdamin, sa puso, malungkot po ako na parang hindi na ako makakabalik sa pamilya na almost half of my career, nandoon ako. But we still remain friends, even off cam,” the actor stated.

He also revealed that he would face difficulties if he ever attempt to reunite with his former colleagues on TV5 because of his contract with GMA.

“Yun nga po, yung opportunity na makalipat muli, makita po sa TV5, medyo yun po kasi ang… of course, hindi lang naman po GMA ang merong ganung exclusivity.” he said.

“All the other networks have that. But siguro, kahit saan man po ako mapunta, yung puso ko po bilang Dabarkads, hindi na mawawala yan,” he added.

 

Eat Bulaga host Buboy Villar reveals that he recently buys an SUV but still prefers to commute to work: “Angkas-angkas lang po”

Eat Bulaga host Buboy Villar revealed that he recently bought an SUV as a mode of transportation for his children.

In an interview on July 3, Buboy said that he successfully saved enough money to buy a vehicle.

“Meron akong binili, bago, kotse. Ayun. One month na. May naipundar ako na bago kasi nasira na po kasi yung second-hand ko po na kotse. Ano na talaga, tumitirik na, madaling masira. Bumili lang po ako ng Fortuner para po sa anak ko kasi yung bunso ko kasi, sobrang laki na,” said Buboy.

He denied that the money he used was his talent fee from hosting Eat Bulaga.

According to him, he used the money he earned from his ‘pares’ business to buy the brand-new vehicle.

“Simula po nung nag-iipon ako sa Paresan ni Bok, pati po sa kita ko rin po sa social media. Doon po nag-umpisa.” he said.

Despite having a personal car already, Buboy said that he still prefers to commute to work to save money.

“I mean, yung commute ko, angkas-angkas na lang po. Masaya po. Nag-e-enjoy ako sa mga ganon. Nag-e-enjoy ako pag umaangkas ako.” he said.

Buboy also explained that riding via motorcycle saved him a lot of time to travel to Eat Bulaga studio in Cainta, Rizal.

Awra Briguela was facing another issue after reportedly lying to his father about where he was living.

In his online show, Ogie Diaz revealed some details about the aftermath of the incident involving Awra last month, saying that the Kapamilya actor made another claim which disappointed his father Oneal Brian Briguela.

According to Ogie, Brian didn’t know that Awra had been living with his friends for six months already, and all along, he believed that his son was living at Vice Ganda’s condominium unit.

“At ang nakakaloka pa, ‘yung mali na yun, e nakaabot lang sakin ah. Na-shock yung tatay ni Awra Briguela. Akala nung tatay all along nakatira si Awra sa condo ni Vice Ganda ng mga six months na. ‘Yun ang paalam ni Awra sa tatay na hindi alam ni Meme.” Ogie said.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin also discussed the said issue, saying that Awra really showed signs of a ‘lack of discipline’.

She also revealed that Awra has been removed from the show ‘Emojination’ because of what happened.

“Yun pala, nakikipanirahan sa kanyang mga barkada.” said Cristy. “Hindi po pala siya tumira sa unit ni Vice Ganda, kundi ‘yung anim na buwan na ‘yon ay ginugol niya sa pakikipanirahan at pakikipag barkada.”

“Kaya noon pa pala ay kulang na pala si Awra sa disiplina, kaya hindi muna siya isinalang sa show nila ni Maja Salvador,” she added.

Television host Kris Aquino announced that she had already called quits with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste after months of having a relationship with him.

In an Instagram post, Aquino made a peaceful breakup letter to Leviste and expressed that she appreciated every effort that her ex-boyfriend had made for her.

According to her, she decided to break up with Leviste because of her worsening condition that already affected her movements.

“I asked Marc for a pause because with my condition the way it is now, i’m self aware enough to know that a long distance relationship will be next to impossible for us to maintain. For the Filipinos working all over the world, i know i’m blessed to have kuya Josh & bimb with me- but most moms reading this will agree, we don’t want our kids to suffer from anxiety about our health, especially kung solo parent ka like me,” she said.

“To A.L. and C.L. thank you for being so warm, polite, appreciative and so easy to get along. Like i promised while your dad’s not around consider the home we’ve leased to be yours as well.

“Thank you Marc for being here for me especially when my 2 “giants” went home BUT our reality is that there’s a Pacific Ocean that divides us, a 15 hour time difference, and a 13 hour flight. You know how much i believe in you and the last thing i want is to be an obstacle in your career as a public servant. This isn’t just a line, you will always have a place in my heart.

“We may not have had our “happily ever after” but being sick has really taught me to look at the glass half full- thank you for giving me the chance to again experience the magic of Once Upon a Time.” she said.

 

As of writing, Leviste has yet to give any response to Aquino’s post.

It can be recalled that the television host already said before that she urged Leviste several times to end their relationship because of their distance.

 

Cristy Fermin debunks Sabrina M’s claim of having a relationship with Rico Yan

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin debunked the claims of actress Sabrina M, who said that she had a ‘secret relationship’ with late actor Rico Yan.

During her show ‘Cristy Ferminute’, the columnist who also followed Rico when he was still alive was asked about her reaction to the statements made by Sabrina.

It can be recalled that on July 6, the actress claimed that she was the girlfriend of the matinee idol after he broke up with Claudine Barretto.

“Alam po ni Claudine na naging kami. Pero never pa namin pinagusapan po. Wala namang problem kasi noong naging kami, wala na sila ni Claudine. Hindi ko naman inagaw si Rico sa kanya noong sila pala,” Sabrina said.

Sabrina also said that Rico’s parents knew about her relationship with the late actor and even attended his burial.

However, Cristy said that she didn’t see any sign that Sabrina and Rico had a relationship.

“Paiiksian ko ang aking sagot. Una, nakakatigagal ang kwentong ito.” said Fermin. “Pinag-usapan ng anim na buwan ang pagpanaw ni Rico Yan, pero wala tayong narinig na anumang salita ni Sabrina M.”

“Gabi gabi ay halos nasa lamay kami, sa burol hanggang sa libing, ni anino ni Sabrina M wala kaming nakita.

“Mas maniniwala pa po ako na ang daloy ng tubig sa waterfalls ay pataas kaysa sa pababa, kaysa sa paniwalaan ko na si Sabrina M ang karelasyon ni Rico Yan nang siya ay pumanaw.” she added.

They also questioned Sabrina’s intention to claim her relationship with Rico, saying that the actor couldn’t defend himself anymore.

As of writing, the relatives of Rico have yet to give any response to the claims by the actress.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin reacted to the statement made by Paolo Contis against his critics, whom he called ‘b*b*’.

Cristy discussed the interview of Ogie Diaz with Paolo during her show ‘Cristy Ferminute’, saying that the Eat Bulaga host was challenging the critics which might attract more negative comments against him.

According to Cristy, instead of trying to improve his image by finally supporting his children financially, Paolo chose to evade the discussion and criticize the netizens urging him to become a responsible father.

“‘Yung pagtawag niya na b*b* sa mga bashers, isa nanaman itong marka ng paghahamon diba, na napakalinaw naman po talaga dito ay kapag inayos ni Paolo Contis ang kanyang problema sa pagpapamilya o sa pagiging ama, mawawala lahat ito, kahit ang mga bashers maiisip nila ay ‘hindi naman pala siya dapat i-bash kasi ginawan niya pala ito ng paraan’.” said Cristy.

“Dapat ‘yung hinihingi ng mga bashers, ipakita niya para matigil narin ang mga bad comments na isinusulat ng ating mga kababayan tungkol sa kanya ang mga kababayan natin ay nagpapaalala sa kanya na ganon ang gawin niya, paalala lamang ito sa kanya na tutal may trabaho na siya,” Cristy’s co-host Rommel Chika responded.

Cristy believed that the negative comments against Paolo would stop if he started showing that he was doing his responsibility as a father.

“Kapag inayos ni Paolo Contis ang pagiging responsableng ama, matatapos lahat ito, titigil ang mga bashers, wala nang ibabato pa sa kanya.” she said.
