Super Tekla admits not paying a taxi driver: ‘Tinakasan ko siya’

Comedian Romeo Librada, popularly known as Super Tekla admitted that he tried to avoid paying a taxi driver in the past.

During the September 17 episode of ‘The Boobay and Tekla Show’ Tekla talked about the said rumors and admitted that it was real.

However, Tekla explained that he had a valid reason why he decided not to pay the said taxi driver.

According to him, he noticed that the taxi driver was trying to cheat him on the meter fare.

He suspected that the taxi was using a tampered meter because he only used to pay P200 when he was traveling from Paranaque to Quezon City. However, during that time, the meter already reached P600.

“Kaya ang ginawa ko, a, dinadayaan mo ako, ha. Dadayaan din kita,” said Tekla.

Tekla then decided to avoid paying the driver by pretending that he would only get money inside a comedy bar.

“Pagdating ko sa bar, bumaba ako sabi ko ‘kukuha lang ako ng pamasahe ha’ pagpasok ko ng bar may labasan doon sa likod doon ako lumabas kasi tatakasan ko siya,” said Tekla.

However, the taxi driver caught him and reported him to his colleagues.

Tekla even admitted that he did the same thing several times.

Actor Baron Geisler expressed concern about the state of motivational speaker Rendon Labador’s mental health.

In an Instagram comment, Baron said that Rendon should prioritize his mental health because the statements being made by the internet celebrity were not normal already.

Baron was already a controversial figure before like Rendon because of the issues he faced, however, the actor recovered from his mental health problems, which helped to revive his career.

“Dami dinadamay. Sana mag focus siya sa mental health niya. He doesn’t look and sound right. Sana he gets help,” said Baron.

It can be recalled that Rendon’s social media pages were removed, including his Facebook with millions of followers.

However, despite what happened to him, Rendon still kept gaining headlines because of his continuous release of controversial statements against celebrities.

Rendon just recently criticized Vice Ganda again and asked the comedian to issue a public apology to gain his approval.

San Miguel Corporation President Ramon Ang received thousands of praise from netizens after he shared how he raised his children to live a simple life.

In an interview with Anthony ‘Ka Tunying’ Taberna, the Filipino billionaire shared that he prefered to avoid an extravagant lifestyle and he passed those beliefs to his children.

“Kailangan tayo simple lang ang buhay natin, we live within our means. Tignan mo ‘yung ibang mga tao diyan, nakatira na nga sa barong-barong, nakatira nalang kung saan naka signature na damit, naka signature na bag,” said Ang.

According to him, he wanted his children to live simply and to treat the employees of San Miguel as equals.

“Tinuturo ko to especially sa mga anak ko. I do not allow them to be going around at magyabang ng kung ano anong isinusuot at kung ano ano ang dinadala,” he said.

Ang said that he was not even planning to wear accessories during the interview. But he was required by the production so he decided to put on a stainless watch.

“Kailangan itinuturo sa mga bata na matuto ng simpleng buhay eh ‘yung anak kong bunso, si Jacob, kaka-graduate ng college pinadala ko sa probinsiya sa Pangasinan, sa planta.. Sabi ko ‘diyan ka, magta-trabaho araw-araw, diyan ka matutulog, kasama mong kakain ng lunch at dinner ‘yung lahat ng empleyado’,” he said.

He told his child not to show that he was the son of the president of San Miguel.

“Kung ano ‘yung kinakain nila, kung ano ‘yung ginagawa nila pareho lang kayo. At ‘yung bihis mo kailangan simpleng damit, t-shirt at kung ano ‘yung uniform doon ay ‘yun ang sosootin mo,” he stated.

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson’s son Luis Christian Singson flexed Super Sireyna 2013 Francine Garcia during a vacation in the said province.

In a social media post made by Francine, she hinted at her relationship with Christian.

“Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality,” she said.

Francine even shared that Christian was the one who invited her to Narvacan.

“Luis Christian Singson: ‘I’ll bring you to Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. We have a private beach there, Santorini style. Tabing dagat, Very Beautiful,” she wrote.

While Christian and Francine have yet to confirm their relationship, the son of the veteran politician indicated that he was currently in a new relationship.

Francine became popular after she became one of the contestants of Super Sireyna in 2013 and won the title.

Drag queen Captivating Katkat receives comment from netizen after she asks a waiter to call her ‘Ma’am’

A drag queen received different reactions on social media after she narrated how she was called ‘sir’ many times by a waiter at a restaurant.

In a Facebook post, Drag Race Philippines Season 2 Katkat Dasalla also known as ‘Captivating Katkat’ said that she gave many chances to the waiter to correct things.

But when she realized that the restaurant worker was beyond saving, the drag queen confronted the waiter and told him about how she must be correctly addressed.

“Kahapon nasa isang Japanese resto kami nina Matilduh, Nicole Pardaux and OV then nanghingi kami ng water sa waiter, pagkalapit saken sabi ‘Sir warm or cold?’ Sabi ko cold, then he left. I’m not sure kung tama narinig ko kaya di ako nagreact agad, pero nakita ko nag react mga kasama ko, then sabi nila saken tinawag akong ‘Sir’. So tatawagin kona dapat yung waiter para kausapin, but OV said ‘dont worry kakausapin ko pagbalik’ so hinayaan kona si OV, pagbalik kinausap na ni OV and the waiter immediately apologized. I know he’s just ignorant so I accepted his apology and nag thank u ako kay OV.” said Dasalla.

“I’m just thankful to have friends like them kasi kung wala baka magka Untucked dun sa resto at mapasigaw ako ng ‘yes or no??? See!’ char!” she added.

She then urged the public to normalize asking people about their ‘pronounce’.

“But on a serious note, I just wanna say this! CAN WE NORMALIZE ASKING GENDER PRONOUNS!!! specially if you’re unassure sa pronoun ng taong kausap mo? It is better to ask than to misgender someone, you don’t understand the feeling,” she stated.

However, some netizens who made a comment to Dasalla’s post called him ‘sir’ and ‘uncle’.

As of writing Dasalla’s comment section was already closed to the public.

Ronnie Liang dismayado sa naging desisyon ng MTRCB sa It’s Showtime: ‘Parang selective justice’

Actor Ronnie Liang couldn’t hide his disappointment after the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) imposed a 12-day suspension against It’s Showtime.

In a statement, Ronnie believed that MTRCB was selective with the decisions they made.

It can be recalled that several It’s Showtime fans urged MTRCB to also punish E.A.T, the show of MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto’s father, Tito Sotto.

However, they were disappointed as MTRCB has yet to release any decision on their complaint against E.A.T.

According to Ronnie, the quick decision made by MTRCB against It’s Showtime showed a bad impression that the agency was siding with other programs.

“Here’s my honest opinion about the MTRCB issue with Showtime,” said Ronnie. “The MTRCB, as the regulatory body, should give clear and consistent guidelines or parameters for acceptable content,”

“In this case, they quickly suspended Showtime because Vice Ganda was seen licking icing off his co-host and partner Ion Perez’s fingers. However, there were similar or worse situations on other shows that were not addressed with the same urgency or attention.

“The inconsistency raises questions about their decision-making. Parang selective justice. Sorry po, pero ganun ang impression.”

As of writing, MTRCB has yet to give response to Ronnie’s statement.

Comedian Pokwang tried the viral P1000 meal plan budget that went viral on social media because of Neri Naig.

In her Instagram post, Pokwang shared that she wanted to test if P1000 could really be enough for a family of five.

The photo shows that most ingredients bought by Pokwang were vegetables.

“Mga ulam na kinakalakihan ko at till now paborito kong ulam. Tingnan natin ilang ulam ang mabibili ko sa 1K peso challenge,” said Pokwang.

However, it seems that Pokwang failed to complete the challenge, saying that the food she bought only lasted for two days.

It can be recalled that Neri went viral on social media and received criticism from netizens after she posted a meal plan that would guide families to budget their weekly food for P1000 only.

The meal plan also indicated that every dinner should be only leftovers from their previous meals.

Matthew Navarro said that while he was supporting his child Andrei Trazona who outed as drag queen ‘Sophia’, he clarified that he was not trying to interfere with the opinions made by his former partner former Sexbomb dancer Izzy.

In an interview with Von Belinario, Matthew confirmed that he was not talking with Izzy anymore about Andrei.

“Wala na talaga, as in wala na talaga,” said Matthew. “Simula nung nagkaroon na siya ng partner, ng asawa, wala na kaming communication. Ayoko namang makigulo pa doon sa tao,”

According to him, he would accept the decisions of Andrei as long as his son was not doing bad things to other people.

“As long as hindi siya gumagawa ng masama sa kapwa niya, tuloy niya lang ‘yung pangarap niya kasi siya lang ‘yung makakagawa non… Syempre malaki na siya, at hindi naman kami nagkulang sa pagpapalaki sa kanya,” said Matthew.

“Masaya ako sa ginagawa niya as long as hindi siya nakakasakit ng tao and wala siyang inaagrabyado andiyan lang ako sa kanya,” he added.

Matthew even joked that he was a little upset that Andrei didn’t tell him about her plans to become a drag queen.

“Dapat ako ‘yung nag-isip ng pangalan niya,” he said.

Jose Manalo receives attention from netizens after he made a stop at Eat Bulaga studio

Jose Manalo gained the attention of some Eat Bulaga fans after he was spotted while making a stop-over at APT Studios of Eat Bulaga in Rizal.

On September 15, Bes Phils 2, a fan page dedicated to supporting the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga posted a photo of Jose while making a stop at the studio where he worked for many years.

Jose could be seen taking a photo of the studio and greeting some bystanders there before leaving the area.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Facebook page urged Jose to just return to Eat Bulaga instead of staying with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon on TV5.

“Jose Manalo, nag stop-over sa APT Studio, namimis siguro ang mga dating katrabaho sa EB. Kung ako sayo Jose, wag mo ipilit sarili mo kung di ka happy halata kase sa mukha mo, balik ka nalang sa EB sa Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” the admin of the page wrote.

However, the post received criticism from netizens, saying that there was no chance that Jose would side with Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

“Tinatawanan nga lang kayo ni jose e anong namiss hahaha,” said netizen Reymar.

“Wag gnun admin dpat kung ano desisyon respituhin nyo kasi ako wla nmn ako pinapanigan sa tvj at jalosjos pero new eb pinapanood ko kasi bagong mukha na hosts,” netizen Jesus wrote.

As of writing, Jose has yet to give any statement on why he made to stop at the Eat Bulaga studio.
