Rendon Labador apologizes to Michael V, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez: “Sana makasama ko kayo”

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador made a rare public apology to television hosts Michael V, Vice Ganda, and Ion Perez after he threw several criticisms against them.

In an interview with talent manager Ogie Diaz, Labador said that he would apologize if the three popular hosts were unhappy with the negative messages he posted about them.

It can be remembered that Labador called Michael ‘unpopular,’ while he labeled Vice and Ion as ‘animals‘ in one of his posts.

According to Rendon, the removal of his social media accounts made him realize many things.

He was still hoping that Michael, Vice, and Ion would help him to promote his advocacy for a better Philippines.

“Im trying to be perfect. Ngayon naman nakikinig na ako. Marami akong opportunities. Marami naman akong nasaktan din naman talaga. Yun din naman yung regret ko talaga. I’m trying to be better,” said Rendon.

“So, kung nasaktan ko man kayo– kay Vice, Ion, lahat ng artista, Michael V.– I’m apologizing. Wala akong masamang intensyon sa inyo, Hindi ko kayo dini-discredit. I’m thankful sa mga nagawa ninyo. Ang gusto ko lang matulungan, magising. Sana makasama ko kayo sa pagbago ng Pilipinas,”  he added.

Rendon Labador claims that he refuses to become part of Batang Quiapo: ‘Hindi na namin pinansin’

If Rendon accepted the role, he would become one of the show’s antagonists as part of the ‘Batang Divisoria,’ the nemesis of Coco’s group.

However, Rendon said that the negotiation between him and Batang Quiapo team failed.

“January palang nag-offer na sila, so hindi nagkasundo,” said Rendon.

He also denied that his criticism against Coco was related to the failed negotiation between him and the Batang Quiapo team.

“Nauna ‘yung offer, tapos pumutok ‘yung issue, March na, so may nagreklamong isang vendor so nag-step up ako para boses ng bayan, negosyante din ako eh. Ayokong maabala ‘yung mga tao na ang liit na nga ng kinikita tapos maabala ka pa,” he stated.

It can be recalled that Coco admitted that they made an offer to Rendon.

Rendon then disclosed why the negotiation between him and Batang Quiapo failed.

“Yes, January palang nakikipag negotiate na sila saakin para mabigyan ako ng role sa BATANG QUIAPO. Totoo yan! Nag rerequest ako ng meeting sakanila para maayos ang collaboration.” Rendon said.

“Hindi sila corporate kausap kaya hindi namin masyado binigyan ng pansin.

“Nag follow up sila ng second time at gusto daw nila ako i include, tinawagan namin sila at nakausap. Wala silang maayos na direction sa role na offer pati sa story hindi organized, kaya hindi na ulit namin pinansin.”

Dating child actor na si Jiro Manio, malaki na ang pinagbago sa buhay matapos magpa-rehab

Former child actor Jiro Manio became a controversial figure in the past after he attempted to return to showbiz with the help of actress Ai-Ai delas Alas.

It can be recalled that Jiro went viral in 2015 after Ai-Ai tried to help her recover from his vices and put him under a rehabilitation program.

However, after several attempts at rehabilitation, Jiro still committed several controversial acts that made Ai-Ai end her communication with the former child star.

After three years, journalist Julius Babao tried to check the condition of Jiro, who seemed to be successfully rehabilitated.

Jiro was now currently working as a co-facilitator in the rehabilitation center, where he stayed for months.

He also toured Julius around the rehabilitation center, where he once became one of its patients.

Before the interview ended, Jiro vowed not to return from his vices anymore.

Lala Sotto says that she’s not affected by the criticism against her: “Thank God, I am unbothered”

Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Lala Sotto said that she was not affected by the calls of some netizens who wanted her to resign from her position following the decision of the agency to deny the Motion of Reconsideration filed by It’s Showtime.

“I truly believe that me being a Sotto or being my father’s daughter shouldn’t be taken against me. Instead, it should be taken positively since I’m someone who grew up in, loves, and understands the industry,” said Sotto in her statement.

“I really believe that the Lord prepared me for this because I grew up in public scrutiny. I saw my parents always talked about. I would read about my father, or my titos, and family all the time in the papers. Bashing is not new to us, to me. You all know what they’ve said about my father in the past. I thank God I am unbothered,” she added.

As of writing, GMA and ABS-CBN have yet to give a official statement about their next move following the decision made by MTRCB.

Senyor Agila, denies that it was his decision to lead Socorro Bayanihan Services: “Hindi ko po ito kagustuhan”

Jey Rence ‘Senior Agila’ Quilario, the president of Socorro Bayanihan Services Inc. (SBSI), denied that he decided to be the president of the alleged cult based in Surigao Norte.

During the joint committee senate hearing on September 28, Quilario said that their former president, Rosalina Taroc, pushed him to become the leader of SBSI.

According to him, he was now being judged by many people because of his leadership under SBSI, even if he didn’t want to lead the alleged cult.

“Sakit po isipin na parang hinusgahan na po ako ng lahat, kasi yung pagka-presidente ko ng Socorro Bayanihan Services Inc. ay hindi ko po kagustuhan, kung hindi lang sa aming presidente na si Rosalina Taroc,” said Quilario.

He also denied that he proclaimed himself as the reincarnation of Santo Niño, who symbolizes the young Jesus Christ.

According to him, he was started to be called ‘Senior Agila’ not because he was considered the Messiah but because it was his alias as a recording artist.

However, the lawmakers didn’t buy the explanations made by Quilario, and they decided to cite him in contempt.

Because of this, Quilario was currently put under the custody of the senate and was not allowed to return to Surigao.

‘Sto.

Alleged cult leader Jey Rence Quilario, also being called ‘Senior Agila’ was temporarily detained by the Senate after he didn’t satisfy the lawmakers who were probing him about the alleged illegal practices being performed by his group Socorro Bayanihan Services Inc. (SBSI).

The senate invited Quilario to face the allegations that his group was forcing children to marry their members and their alleged building of a private army.

Several witnesses who introduced themselves as former members of SBSI narrated their experience with the group, saying that they were forced to marry some of the members.

According to one witness, Senior Agila even asked her to spend a night with the alleged cult leader, but she refused.

Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa put Quilario under their custody for not answering their questions directly.

“Doon ka sa baba, wag kang mag-alala aircon diyan,” Dela Rosa said.

After the hearing, senate staff brought the leader to his temporary room.

It can be recalled that Quilario allegedly claimed to be the next ‘Messiah’ and even called by his members as the reincarnation of Santo Niño, a religious figure symbolizing the young Jesus Christ.

He was also facing several charges for the alleged activities of SBSI.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) denied the Motion for Reconsideration filed by It’s Showtime to appeal the suspension imposed against their show.

It can be recalled that MTRCB gave a 12-day suspension against It’s Showtime, but it was delayed because of the appeal made by the Kapamilya show.

However, on September 28, MTRCB said there was no reason for them to approve the appeal of It’s Showtime.

“The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) released a resolution dated 28 September 2023, denying the Motion for Reconsideration (MR) filed by GMA Network Inc. and ABS-CBN Corporation,” the agency headed by Lala Sotto wrote.

“Said MRs sought relief from the Board’s ruling dated August 17, 2023, regarding the July 25, 2023, episode of the live noontime television program “It’s Showtime!” Specifically, during the show’s “Isip Bata” segment, in which hosts Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda, and Ion Perez allegedly acted indecently or inappropriately in the presence of children, which is alleged to have violated Section 3 (c) of Presidential Decree No. 1986 and it’s Implementing Rules and Regulation,” they added.

Because of the decision, It’s Showtime would be suspended from airing starting tomorrow.

As of writing, Vice and Ion have yet to give any comment on the decision made by MTRCB.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya fans couldn’t hide their disappointment over the decision made by MTRCB and accused the head of the agency of favoring her father’s show E.A.T., a competitor of It’s Showtime.
