Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson didn’t forget to reward Karl Eldrew Yulo after the latter won four gold medalists in the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championship in Thailand.

In a Facebook post, Chavit could be seen personally presenting the P500,000 reward to Karl Eldrew.

Singson believed that Karl Eldrew deserved to be rewarded for “showing hard work and determination to become the country’s next gymnastics sensation,”

Aside from Eldrew, his mother, Angelica Yulo, also received P1-M from Singson.

Meanwhile, Singson said that his offer to two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo was still open as long as he would forgive his parents.

“Honor thy father and thy mother. Kung anumang ginawa ng nanay niya, patawarin niya. He should be a role model (to society) dahil mataas na siya. Walang deadline! Kung patawarin niya nanay niya, may 5 million siya sa kin,” said Singson.

As of writing, Carlos has yet to give any response to Singson’s offer.

Broadcaster Arnold Clavio reminded his followers about the law of God amid the admission of former President Rodrigo Duterte that he personally ended the lives of several people.

In his Instagram post, Clavio also added Duterte’s statement, daring the ICC to quickly finish the investigation against him.

According to Clavio, Quad Comm and ICC were serious when it came to investigating the former administration.

“Kung nanggagaling na sa bibig ng isang aminadong mamamatay tao ang hamon, dapat nang kumilos ang mga kinauukulan,” said Clavio.

“Sa mata ng kanyang taga-suporta si Duterte ay bayani at dakila. Pero sa mata ng mga naulila at biktima ng EJK, malapit na nilang makamit ang katarungan,” he added.

He also reminded his followers that ending the life of someone was against the law of God.

“Sa utos ng Diyos at batas ng tao, “BAWAL ANG PUMATAY.” Walang lugar sa sibilisadong lipunan ang ilagay sa kamay ang batas,” he stated.

“Lahat tayo ay binibigyan ng pagkakataon na magbago. At kung ginusto mo na manatiling masama sa mundong ibabaw , ang paghusga sa iyo ay nasa kabilang buhay,” he added.

Before ending his post, Arnold also said that the former president cannot be arrogant forever.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte almost threw his microphone at former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV during the Quad Committee hearing on November 13, 2024.

During the hearing, one of the members of the Quad Comm asked if Duterte was fine with signing a bank waiver so the public could open his bank accounts.

It can be recalled that Trillanes accused Duterte of having millions of pesos in his bank accounts, which he allegedly gained from illegal activities.

“Anong kapalit sir?” said Duterte. “Sampalin ko siya publiko?” 

Duterte could be seen shouting at Trillanes, grabbing his mic, and gesturing to throw it to the former lawmaker.

De Lima could also be seen trying to pacify her political nemesis.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte couldn’t contain himself from showing his reaction to the statements made by his political nemesis, former Senator Leila de Lima during the House Quad Comm hearing on November 13, 2024.

During the hearing, De Lima responded to the former President’s statements and insisted that Duterte knew her.

“He is lying na hindi nya kilala si Leila De Lima,” said Leila.

“Iba na kasi ang hair-do nya. Kaya di ko nakilala,” Duterte responded.

The former President could also be seen clenching his fist and making a punching gesture while visibly saying vulgar words toward the former lawmaker.

Duterte’s action received mixed reactions from the netizens.

Supporters of Rodrigo Duterte were not happy that the House Quad Comm committee members didn’t give enough time for the former president to take a restroom break.

Around 3:48 PM, Quad Committee chairperson Rep. Robert Ace Barbers asked the former President if he wanted to have a break after hours of continuous inquiry on the former administration’s policy against bad elements.

“Mr. President gusto niyo po bang mag-break?” Barbers said.

“Nahiya lang ako Sir pero kanina pa ako naiihi. Isang oras na,” he stated.

Barbers then asked for a one-minute suspension.

“One-minute suspension,” Barbers responded.

While Barbers only declared a one-minute suspension, the hearing was resumed around 03:56 PM.

However, several netizens who thought that Barbers only gave the former President a one-minute break expressed their disappointment on social media.

Comedian Ethel Booba went viral on social media after she made a response to the netizens who questioned her parenting style.

It can be recalled that Ethel posted a video of her while taking care of her daughter, Michaela.

COST OF BEING A PILOT IN THE PHILIPPINES

According to Alpha Aviation Group, flight schools in the Philippines were considered cheaper than other countries but still very expensive for Filipinos.

Aviation Schools in the Philippines may charge you P500,000 to get a Private Pilot License (PPL), P800,000 to get a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and at least two million pesos to become a licensed Airline Transport Pilot.

Gerald got his private pilot license at the Asian Institute of Aviation in 2019.

However, Ai-Ai said that she would also get a CPL for her husband.

It’s not yet known if Ai-Ai also aimed for Gerald to become an airline transport pilot.

“Congrats darling sa (on your) caap checkride and may Private pilot license ka na. Next target CPL (commercial pilot license na),” said Ai-Ai.

It may also take years to become a commercial pilot. However, the salary of a pilot is already considered above average compared to other professions.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Ai-Ai confirmed that Gerald was already practicing his pilot profession in the United States.

Netizens made fun of comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas after she announced her breakup with Gerald Sibayan.

In some comments on different social media platforms, netizens connected Ai-Ai’s failed relationship to her decision to publicly support Angelica Yulo.

It can be recalled that Ai-Ai called herself part of ‘Team Nanay’ amid the issue between Angelica and her child, two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.

She even told Carlos’ girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, to find her place and stop interfering with her boyfriend’s family affairs.

After the separation between Ai-Ai delas Alas and Gerald Sibayan, many netizens asked if the latter would get a part of the comedian’s properties if ever they decided to end their marriage legally.

Ai-Ai and Gerald married in the U.S., where the divorced couple shared their properties once they separated.

However, Gerald may not get any share from Ai-Ai’s property in the United States as he signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding.

According to Ai-Ai, she wanted a prenuptial agreement so people would not judge her husband.

“Para na rin sa kapayapaan ni Gerald, para wala na siyang basher, intriga. Sa mga mag-asawa naman, ke normal, ke artista, wala naman ‘yun. Pera lang ‘yun,” said Ai-Ai. “Kumbaga, hindi naman ‘yun ang batayan ng pagsasama niyo nang matagal. Nasa pagsasama ‘yun kung nagkaka-intindihan kayo, ‘di ba? Pera lang ‘yun. Although kailangan n’yo ‘yun bilang mag-asawa pero hindi ‘yun ang essence ng pagmamahalan,”

However, Ai-Ai still believed that even with a prenuptial agreement, an individual was still not safe from being taken advantage of.

“Kasi s’yempre maraming beses na akong kinasal at marami na rin akong prenup. Hindi guarantee na ‘pag may prenup ka eh hindi ka makukuhanan ng pera. Totoo ‘yun. ‘Pag gusto kang lokohin or huthutan magagawan ng paraan.” she stated.

It can be recalled that Ai-Ai reportedly shouldered the expenses of Gerald’s pilot training and even petitioned the latter to become a U.S resident.
