GMA Show featuring Marian Rivera receives criticism for poorly made scene

Marian Rivera’s newest show on GMA Network, ‘My Guardian Alien,’ went viral on social media after some netizens noticed its poorly edited scene.

The scene featured Marian, portraying the leading character Katherine Villegas-Soriano, who was seen inside a casket while a priest was praying.

However, several netizens noticed that Marian’s body was only edited to make it look like she was inside the casket.

The editing was so evident that netizens called out the show’s production team.

As a response, the show’s director, Zig Dulay, has already announced that they will fix the scene.

He also clarified that the scene was still in the process of production.

“As per direk Zig, aayusin daw ng production. Hindi pa ‘to final kaya pwede pang baguhin,” the netizen said.

‘My Guardian Alien’ was set for a premiere on April 1, 2024, replacing another show on the prime timeslot.

Mga pasahero nagsilabasan ng bus dahil sa umaalingasaw na utot

A bus was forced to make an emergency stop after several passengers complained about an insufferable smell, which suddenly spread around the vehicle.

In a video posted by netizen Remi Roberto, all passengers were seen exiting the bus bound to Taytay, Rizal.

According to Roberto, someone dropped a fart inside the bus, which caused passengers felt nauseous.

“Kung sino man nag paputok ng fart sa loob ng bus ganda ng trip mo,” the netizen wrote.

Several passengers couldn’t hide their disappointment as they were travel time was extended due to the incident.

They were transferred to another bus to avoid more delays.

As of writing, the man who dropped the fart has yet to be identified.

Willie Revillame at TVJ magsasanib pwersa sa TV5 bilang preperasyon sa It’s Showtime sa GMA Network

Willie Revillame was reportedly returning to TV5 as a television host as part of the media company’s mission to dominate the noontime show ratings amid the rumors of It’s Showtime’s transfer to GMA Network.

Information was circulated on social media about the plan of GMA to replace ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ with It’s Showtime to match TV5’s Eat Bulaga.

In a report released by Bilyonaryo, Revillame was seen posing together with Mediaquest and Cignal president President Jane Basas, TV5 President Guido Zaballero, Mediaquest CFO John Andal, and Cignal VP for channel and content Sienna Olaso.

Revillame could also be seen together with Atty. Enrique “Buko” Dela Pena of Divina Law, who represented TVJ on their trademark battle against Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

According to the report, Revillame was expected to have a show with TV5 in the noontime slot after Eat Bulaga.

Many netizens believed that Revillame’s return on television may change his plans for the 2025 elections.

It can be recalled that he had already announced his plan to get a senate seat after several years of not producing a show.

As of writing, Willie has yet to give a statement on his partnership with TV5.

It seems that Julia Barretto and Bea Alonzo ended their feud after they were seen having fun during the birthday of former Star Magic manager, and now GMA Network’s Sparkle consultant Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan.

In a video uploaded on social media by peachypeach888, Julia and Bea could be seen greeting and hugging each other in front of Kapamilya artist Darrel Espanto.

Julia also offered drinks to Bea, which the latter didn’t refuse.

It can be recalled that Julia Barretto made a statement in 2019 denying her involvement in the breakup between Bea and her ex-boyfriend, Gerald Anderson.

Cebuano Rapper na si Range 999, ibinahagi ang dahilan kung bakit niya ginamitan ng armas ang isang banyaga

Cebuano rapper Jed Andrew Salera, popularly known as Range 999, was put under the custody of the authorities after a hot pursuit against him.

On Sunday, March 17, Salera was captured by CCTV footage while arguing with 37-year-old foreign national Michael George Richey at a resort and hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.

The footage showed Salera using a weapon against Richey despite being stopped by his group.

According to the suspect, Richey became very disrespectful to his female friends during their encounter at a bar.

He insisted that there was enough reason for him to defend his colleagues from the foreigner.

Salera even said that the foreigner still touched his female friends, which forced him to do the act.

“Hindi kami gagawa ng kasalanan sa isang tao kung wala siyang ginawang masama. Gusto ko lang malaman ng lahat na hindi ‘to mangyayari kung wala siyang ginawa sa mga kasama namin,” Salera said in Cebuano.

However, the authorities said that Salera confronted the foreigner outside the bar.

The rapper faced multiple charges from the authorities, but it was still unknown if the foreigner would also pursue charges against Salera.

Paolo Contis sinagot kung may tampo ba siya sa GMA matapos mawalan ng noontime show

Paolo Contis couldn’t stop himself from making a joke at the early end of their noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’

During a press conference for the newest campaign of GMA, Paolo asked their fans to support Bubble Gang until it reach their 50th anniversary, which Tahanang Pinakamasaya failed to achieve.

“Siyempre hindi magiging kumpleto ang ‘Bubble Gang’, kung hindi niyo kami sasamahan. Tulungan niyo kami dahil gusto naming paabutin ng 50 years ang ‘Bubble Gang’!” said Paolo.

“Yung isang show kasi, hindi umabot ng 50 years. Pero okey lang. Hahahaha!” he added.

He also denied that he was disappointed with GMA Network executives for giving up on the noontime show produced by Television and Productions Exponents Incorporated (TAPE Inc.).

“Ako wala po akong wish, at nais ko lang pong magpasalamat sa inyong suporta, sa suporta ng GMA-7 sa akin. Again, I wanna thank GMA for always supporting me, for always supporting the show,” he stated.

“May kumalat po na may tampo ako sa GMA. Hindi po `yon totoo. Pero pagbigyan na po natin ang mga nagkakalat noon, content po nila `yon, para sa kanila `yon. Pero it’s not true. I love GMA. And I’m very thanful sa GMA,” he added.

It can be recalled that Paolo was the one who received the most criticism from the netizens after the announcement of Tahanang Pinakamasaya’s closure as he was the one who often expressing his thoughts on air about the legal battle between TAPE Inc. and former Eat Bulaga hosts, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

 

‘Kumpleto papel namin!’ Dalawa pang resort na itinayo sa Chocolate Hills, hiniling na huwag silang imbestigahan

Two other resorts built around the vicinity of the iconic Chocolate Hills in Bohol hoped that they would not be put under investigation.

It can be recalled that Captain’s Peak Resort in Chocolate Hills received criticisms from netizens and public officials for building an establishment in the UNESCO Heritage Site.

The owner of Captain’s Peak also mentioned the two other resorts built around the area, Sagbayan Peak and Bud Agta.

 

“Meron pa pong maglala dito,” Captain’s Peak manager Julieta Sablas said. “Hindi ko na i-mention ang resort, pero kayo na ang mag imbestiga,” 

However, the management of Sagbayan Peak and Bud Agta denied the accusations, saying that they have proper documents to operate, including an Environmental Compliance Certificate or ECC.

“Siyempre baka pati kami pagdiskitahan. Pero baka hindi rin kasi kumpleto naman kami ng papeles, lalo na yung ECC,” An employee of one of the resorts mentioned by Sablas told ABS-CBN news.

They even showed the documents to the press to prove they were legally operating a business in Chocolate Hills.

Bud Agta also built a billboard to inform the public that they complied with the environmental guidelines.

The government already launched an investigation against the said establishments and may possibly demolish if they were proven not following environmental laws.

DepEd, uumpisahan na ang imbestigasyon sa teacher na nag-live habang nanenermon ng estudyante

The Department of Education (DepEd) has already launched an investigation into the viral video where a teacher was shown throwing barbs at her students.

In the video, the teacher, who’s using the alias @SerendipityLover, can be heard trying to boast about passing her licensure exam and telling her students that they would fail in the future due to their attitude.

She even compared her students to the attitude of ‘squatters’ or those who are illegally settling in privately owned lands.

DepEd Deputy Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas are already trying to verify the incident, which was caught live by thousands of netizens.

They’re also gathering complete information about the encounter to make an incident report before taking their next steps against the teacher.

Bringas said they would update the public on their next move immediately.

Many experts believed that the teacher would face administrative proceedings due to the words she used against her students.

There’s also a possibility that the teacher didn’t follow the DepEd Order No. 49 series of 2022 or the Promotion of Professionalism in the Implementation and Delivery of Basic Education Programs and Services, as she was caught using a social media platform while in the middle of her class.

As of writing, the teacher has yet to give any statement on the actions she has done to her students.

Yexel Sebastian, posibleng maghimas ng rehas ng ilang dekada matapos sampahan ng reklamo

Content creator and toy collector Yexel Sebastian was facing serious charges for allegedly luring his followers to invest in a bogus company.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) already filed syndicated estafa, a non-bailable offense against Sebastian.

According to NBI official Atty. Palmer Mallari, Sebastian was allegedly involved in a P50-B scam.

The official also said that one of the complainants invested P700,000 in Sebastian’s business after being promised a monthly profit of P35,000.

It can be recalled that Yexel already denied the accusations against him despite openly promoting the said business to millions of his followers.

This was Sebastian’s statement to his followers:

“Siguro panahon na para ipagtanggol ko ang sarili ko at buo kong pamilya. Ayaw ko sana magsalita dahil kahit magmukha kaming masama at basura sa buong Pilipinas ay tatanggapin ko maiyos lang nang malumanay at tahimik pero kabaligtaran ang nangyari naging sobrang ingay na. Pati kaligtasan namin ay nalagay na sa alanganin. Masakit makita ang buong pamilya mo na umiiyak para sa kaligtasan namin ni Mikee and Zyph kaya palagay ko ito na ang tamang panahon,” [It’s time to defend myself and my whole family. I don’t want to speak up because even if we appeared bad and looked like trash in the Philippines, I’d accept all the negative comments just to fix everything peacefully, but what happened was the opposite. ‘Bakit naka-live habang may klase?’ Madam Kilay criticizes teacher who livestreamed while calling out her students

Content creator Jinky Anderson, popularly known as ‘Madam Kilay’ couldn’t stop herself from criticizing the teacher who went viral on social media after she lectured her students while doing a livestream.

In her social media post, she questioned why the teacher was doing live during class hours.

“Bakit naka-live ‘day. ‘Di ba dapat ma’am, focus tayo sa mga estudyante natin. Unless mayroon kayong sine-search sa inyong laptop or sa Facebook about sa school, about sa mga subject. Pero naka live kayo, ‘di ba bawal yon?” She asked.

Anderson also asked why the teacher couldn’t contain herself in front of her students.

“Hindi ba pagka pumasok ka ng course pagiging guro ‘di ba pinag-aaralan din ‘yan oh ‘oh sige paano mo i-di-deal ‘yong mga ganitong klaseng behavior ng estudyante kung maka-encounter ka ng ganitong estudyante,” she said.

Anderson also said that the statements made by the teacher were already below the belt and discouraging for her students.

“Hindi natin pwedeng husgahan ang tao kahit simo mang poncio pilato ‘yan. Wag tayong maghuhusga sa kasalukuyang estado nila. So pa’no magsisipag ‘yan? Paano sila makikinig sa’yo kung ikaw mismo dina-down sila,” she stated.

The content creator also reminded the teacher to choose her words carefully while handling children.

She even gave advice to the teacher to stop pursuing her profession if she couldn’t handle her students.

“Kung hindi mo na kaya ‘yong ganiyang klaseng trabaho at burn out ka na sa mga estudyante mo, find another job, ‘yung talagang walang stress para sa’yo,” she said.

It can be recalled that the teacher may face suspension for her attitude.
