It’s Showtime Teddy Corpuz urged the netizens to stop escalating the competition between their noontime show and TV5’s Eat Bulaga.

In his tweet, Teddy reacted to some netizens who were making comments on how It’s Showtime would surpass Eat Bulaga when it comes to television ratings now that the Kapamilya Show was part of GMA Network.

According to him, both television shows have the same goal to entertain the people, and not every day does that show lead the rating competition.

“Yung pinag aaway nyo kami, pero bakit di nalang tangkilikin parehas? Yes may competition… minsan talo, minsan panalo. Parehong gumagawa at nag nanais mapasaya kayo. Kung di ka masaya sa isa, eh di dun ka sa kabila at wag ka na lang manira. Focus ka sa tv mo at wag sa tv ng kalaban mo,” he wrote.

Most netizens agreed with Teddy’s opinion and even received praise from some Eat Bulaga fans.

“Ang sarap naman pakinggan galing mismo sayo. Tama lahat ng sinabi mo Kuya Ted. Maaaring nasa isang kumpetisyon kayo pero lagi dapat binabalikan yung end goal… MAPASAYA ANG PILIPINO. As a solid Dabarkad, I am happy with ShowTime. Mas marami, mas masaya. Congratulations po,” netizen Chris said.

“Tama po kayo, dapat nga walang mga negative comments, maging masaya nalang po sana, hindi yung magsisiraan pa. Ang mahalaga nagpapasaya tayo ng dalawang noontime show,”  netizen Raneil commented.

In the first episode of It’s Showtime on GMA Network on April 6, the Kapamilya show surpassed Eat Bulaga in advertisement and social media viewership.

The Takoyaki shop that went viral on social media on April 1, 2024, due to their April Fool’s Prank admitted that they knew the man who claimed to put the logo of their brand on his forehead.

It can be recalled that Ramil Albano received sympathy from the netizens who thought that he was victimized by Taragis Takoyaki Shop’s April Fool’s Prank, a business owned by Carl Quion.

Albano pretended that he put the logo on the shop, hoping to receive P100,000, without knowing that it was only an April Fool’s Joke from Taragis.

He revealed that Ramil already put the logo of the Takoyaki shop on his forehead last March 28.

“Bakit sa noo? Dahil kung hindi sa noo ay mawawalan lang ng saysay ang tattoo dahil wala nang nakakawili pa sa isang brand logo na nakatatak sa noo ng isang tao,” he said.

“Oo, nagsinungaling ako sa inyo at gusto kong humingi ng tawad. Dinala namin kayo rito sa isang malaking marketing stunt na may iba’t ibang klaseng emosyon, diskusyon, at pagpapakitang tao,” he added.

Quion made the revelation amid the possible sanctions he may face from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which mulled the cancellation of their business name registration.

He may also be charged for his marketing stunt.

Some netizens also expressed their disappointment after they realized that their emotions towards Albano were only wasted.

Karla Estrada denied that her son, Daniel Padilla, was asking for a GCash number from his fans online.

Through her Instagram page, Karla warned the netizens about the individual pretending to be her son to ask for money.

According to her, the said individual was directly messaging random fans of Daniel and claiming that they won a giveaway launched by the actor.

The fake account will then ask for a GCash number, and even promise P5,000 cash.

Karla urged the netizens not to entertain anyone pretending to be her son.

It can be recalled that important details, including mobile numbers, may be used by bad elements in their activities.

Security experts advised the netizens not to easily share their contact numbers, especially if it was connected to their e-wallet accounts.

Meanwhile, Daniel was still part of the discussion on social media due to the man being linked to his former girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo.

Bianca Lapus admitted that she was affected by the criticism received by her child, Yce Navarro when he was introduced to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

Yce, who’s Bianca’s child to Vhong Navarro, received comments from netizens who questioned why he became part of Batang Quiapo despite his appearance.

Some even said that Yce only became part of Batang Quiapo due to his relation to Vhong.

In an interview with Christine Bersola-Babaom, Bianca said that she couldn’t stop her emotions while reading some of the comments received by her son.

“Actually hindi pa nga ako nagpopost about it eh, pero sobrang umiiyak ako last week. Yung nilabas kasi ang photo niya for Batang Quiapo, may mga nagbash,” she said.

“Ako okay lang eh, sige ipost niyo ako… bahala kayo. Pero ‘nung si Yce na, parang naging tiger ka bigla…Pero at the same time I just realized na the world can really be cruel. ‘Yung pagiging nanay ko I still want to protect him,” she added.

Bianca said that netizens should’ve been considerate in their comments as her son experienced mental health issues in the past.

According to her, Yce experienced tremendous sadness when his father was put behind bars due to a case filed by Deniece Cornejo.

Joel Mondina, a.k.a Pambansang Kolokoy, denied that he was suffering from Andropause, which caused him to have mood swings and a dysfunctional reproductive system.

In a social media post, Joel made a sarcastic response to his former partner, Grace Mondina who hinted about his alleged condition.

To prove that he was still functioning, he hinted that he would have another child with his new partner, Dawn Sherrine.

“Ganito pala may Andropause may kasunod na naman si Gigi! Hoomaayyygoodness! Jun jun behave!” he said.

The former partners exchanged criticism on social media in recent days.

Joel on Tuesday, criticized Grace and even blamed his former partner for his downfall.

As a response, Grace, who’s a medical professional in the US, theorized that Joel was experiencing Andropause due to his old age.

“When a man reach 40 to early 50s, nagiging babae sila,” said Grace. “May mga mood swings sila, they’re irritated easily, may mga hot flashes din sila,”

Veteran actress Nova Villa finally made a response to the decade-old rumors about her and the late ‘Da King’ Fernando Poe Jr.

There were rumors circulating for decades about Nova, having a child with FPJ.

According to Nova who’s also called the “Goddess of Philippine Comedy, she will never deny if she really had a baby with the King of Philippine Movies.

Through a Facebook post, content creator BES Phil 2, published a photo of the four hosts of now-defunct ‘Tahanang Pinakasaya’ together with the logo of It’s Showtime, saying that they deserved to be part of the Kapamilya noontime show.

“Panawagan ng bayan, #MePaBeBu ilagay sa #ItsShowtime tuwing sabado,” the content creator wrote. “Dasurb ng Mepabebu o mas kilala sa kanilang pangalan, Yorme, Paolo,Betong, Buboy, na maging bahagi ng Its showtime lahit tuwing sabado,”

Tahanang Pinakamasaya ended its short-stint and was replaced by It’s Showtime, making the competition between the Kapamilya noontime show and TV5’s Eat Bulaga more intense.

Paolo, one of the hosts affected by Tahanang Pinakamasaya’s end, said that he didn’t see any problems working with It’s Showtime hosts in the future.

“Lahat, kaibigan ko naman sila eh. Kaibigan ko karamihan sa kanila. Si Ogie [Alcasid], si Vice [Ganda], I’m very close to Vhong [Navarro],” said Paolo.

“Lahat naman ‘yan, very open tayo,” he added.

Heart Evangelista ended the rumors surrounding her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero.

Several rumors about Escudero’s health circulated on social media, saying that he was allegedly rushed to the hospital and still unconscious after suffering from a stroke.

According to a report released by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Escudero was airlifted from his home in Sorsogon to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig due to still unknown reasons.

However, Heart quickly debunked the rumors and even published a video showing her husband while having a haircut.

The video showed Heart finishing her painting and she also panned the camera towards the direction of her husband.

Chiz also greeted the followers of Heart.
