A director couldn’t hide his disappointment in the storyline of the Kapamilya program, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

In his Facebook post, Director Ronaldo Carballo criticized the production staff of Batang Quiapo due to its poor script.

According to him, the flow of the show was already repetitive.

“Juiceku! Saan ba nag-aral ng Scriptwriting ang mga gunggong na writers na ito? Kapag naipakita na visually sa eksena previously, hindi na ito dapat ikwento thru pagkahaba-habang monologue,” he wrote.

“Wala na lahat itong katuturan. Wala nang saysay yang pagkukuwento mo kay Bubbles, Tanggol. Nakita na sa previous scenes ng paulit-ulit yang mga ikinukuwento mo, Tanggol,” he added.

He even called out Batang Quiapo’s leading actor and director, Coco Martin, for his acting skills.

“Hindi na yan nakaaantig at all, kahit mag-OA ka pa sa kadadrama dyan. Na nagvu-voice acting ka pa ngang umiiyak ka, Tanggol. Pero wala kang luha,” Carballo told the actor.

“Nakaka-destruct din sa akting no yung plantsadung-plantsado ang buhok mo, at ang ganda pa rin ng make-up mo na di ka man lang pinawisan. Samantalang you had a very long day,” he added.

As of writing, the people behind Batang Quiapo has yet to give a response to the comment made by the director.

Veteran actress Divina Valencia appealed to the organizers of the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) to reimburse the money spent by Eva Darren during her preparation as a presenter of the awards night.

It can be recalled that Eva was reportedly replaced at the last minute during the controversial event, which prompted thousands of netizens to criticize FAMAS.

The incident was revealed by Eva’s son, who said that the veteran actress had spent money and effort and believed that she would present the awards at the event.

Divina, Eva’s close friend, believed it would be better for FAMAS to return the expenses made by Eva.

“Masakit para sa anak, at sa mga apo na inaasahan nila na gumastos ng ganoon [sa] make-up, hairdo, damit, driver, gas, etc. Dapat lang Madam FAMAS, ibalik mo lahat nang nagastos ni Miss Eva Darren. ‘Yong kahihiyan hindi niya na maibabalik ‘yon, habambuhay nang kahihiyan ‘yon. At hindi lang sa kaniya, kundi kahihiyan ng anak niya at mga apo niya,” Divina said.

As of this writing, there is still no clear explanation of how the incident happened.

According to their statement, FAMAS replaced Eva because they couldn’t find her at the venue.

However, the 72nd FAMAS social media manager, Johnrey Rivas, claimed that Eva was not approved to become the presenter of the show and was replaced by Nova Villa, who was also replaced at the last minute due to her request.

FAMAS has yet to give a response to Divina’s request.

A vlogger who’s known for being “close” to entrepreneur Deo Balbuena, better known as Diwata, was surprised by the internet sensation.

In a vlog, Alvin TV, one of the content creators known for intensively covering Diwata’s daily activities, received a car from the entrepreneur.

The said car was the old sedan previously used by Diwata.

Before handling the car, Diwata also ensured that the vehicle was in good condition and even made efforts to make it pristine.

“Kasi ito nga, kaya nga sabi ko may surprise ako, eto seryoso, ibibigay ko na to sayo kasi diba mag isa lang din naman ako tapos ang una kasi na rason, napapabayaan ko na siya at tyaka syempre yung parkingan tapos masisira lang,” Diwata told Alvin.

Diwata also shared a short history of his vehicle.

“What is the reason kasi para sa di nakakaalam kung bakit ako bumili ng sasakyan, dahil dati pagkatapos kong magtinda malayo ang bahay ko from QC ang bahay ko tapos Pasay ako nagbibusiness, medyo malayo talaga at tsaka pagod na ako nung mga araw na yun di ko na kaya umuwe sa bahay kasi sobrang pagod na ngayon bumili ako ng sasakyan para safe yung gamit ko, maging safe ako na walang mawawala kasi pagtapos ko magtinda natutulog lang ako sa gilid ng tindahan,” he stated.

Diwata also explained why he decided to give Alvin his old car.

“Si Alvin kasi guys malaki din yung naging part niya sa akin nung na kasama ko siya, kung san kami punta. Kung baga nag i edit siya ng aking mga vlog kasi wala akong alam pag dating sa cellphone. So, nagdecide ako kung meron man akong bibigyan kasi nakatulong naman si Alvin sakin, kay Alvin ko ibibigay,” he stated.

Alvin and Diwata were rumored to be in a relationship after they traveled to General Santos City together last month.

Philmar Alipayo finally spoke on the issue he faced after a content creator uploaded their meeting on social media.

It can be recalled that content creator Crissia Liaging published a video during her meeting with Philmar in Siargao, which gained millions of views and mixed reactions due to the background music she used.

The video gained different interpretation from some netizens as she used a romantic song while showing her encounter with Philmar.

Entertainment reporter Boy Abunda shared that Philmar drank during that time, which explained his gestures with Crissia.

At first, Philmar and his partner, Andi Eigenmann, laughed when the video was uploaded. However, it became too serious when some people had already repurposed the content.

“What happened was, Philmar drank, had a friendly conversation with this girl on the video, and that’s it, according to Philmar and Andi,” said Tito Boy. “Kaya ‘nung una nilang nakita ang video, nagtawanan lang sila ni Andi, but what bothered them, it was edited and uploaded to create an issue,”

The issue prompted Andi to release a statement and criticize the people who created an issue over the video.

“He can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whoever he wants. No harm in that. What’s shameful is purposely posting and editing a video to cause a stir, disturbing the peace of people and dragging them into their negativity, just for some social media attention,” said Andi.

Meanwhile, Crissia also clarified that she didn’t mean anything when she uploaded the video.

“Hindi totoo ang inyong iniisip at hindi totoo ang mga naglalabasang isyu sa social media,” she said.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin ended her silence on the multiple charges she received from different celebrities due to her statements on her online program.

GMA News interviewed Cristy about the charges she received from Dominic Roque.

However, Cristy didn’t expect that even Dominic would file charges against her and only informed about it online.

The veteran columnist said that she was waiting for the subpoena for the charges filed against her by Bea Alonzo.

However, Cristy expressed confidence that she could successfully defend herself.

“Hindi ko pa alam eh,” said Fermin. “‘Yung kay Bea nga, hindi pa kami nag-start, hindi pa namin nakukuha ‘yung subpoena,”

Money Garland became trending again on social media after several parents gave it to their children who just graduated from their school.

However, the said trend gained different reactions from the netizens and even from teachers as they believed that Money Garland was a sign of a lack of sensitivity by some parents who only wanted to flex their wealth.

It can be recalled that Money Garland also went viral last year as several content creators made it as a gift to their relatives who graduated.

One of those content creators is Christian Merck Grey, who also reposted the photo taken when his brother received the money garland worth P1-M from him.

Former EB Babe member Lian Paz couldn’t hide her admiration for her children with Kapuso actor Paolo Contis.

In her Instagram post, Lian dedicated a letter to her children, Xonia and Xalene, who their school recently recognized for their academic performance.

Lian also included photos of her and her children, together with her partner, John Cabahug.

John was the one who took the responsibility of Paolo to his children.

However, several netizens noticed that Xonia and Xalene were still using their father’s surname.

Xian Lim talked about being played during an interview with the press for his movie “Playtime.”

Yen Santos’ mother finally speaks on the rumored relationship between her daughter and controversial actor Paolo Contis.

In Jobert Sucaldito’s social online program, Mrs. Yan Santos addressed the public and clarified that her daughter was not in any romantic relationship with Paolo.

She also denied that Yen was the reason behind the separation of Paolo and LJ Reyes.

“Tinawagan ko po si mommy Lilian, si mommy Lilian is the mother of Yen Santos kasi very close sa akin ‘yang batang ‘yan more than 10 years na,” said Jobert.
