Sarah Balabagan-Sereno gave her thoughts after former President Rodrigo Duterte was brought to The Hague to face the trial of the ICC.

In her post, Sarah expressed her support for the former President, calling him a ‘great leader.’

According to her, Duterte’s critics should be reminded that they also committed a sin.

“Some people said, he is not a good man, which I agree naman because for me he is a great man and a great leader! I know he is not perfect, he has flaws, he is a sinner but hey, sino ba ang hindi nagkasala? in John 8:7 “They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” said Sarah.

Sarah’s stance on the issue of Duterte differed from the opinion of her ex-boyfriend, Arnold Clavio.

It can be recalled that Sarah admitted that Arnold impregnated her when she was still 17 years old.

However, Arnold refused to speak about the said issue.

It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu was criticized by the supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte after she uttered a word in one of the episodes of their noontime show.

It can be recalled that Kim Chiu was one of the It’s Showtime hosts who followed the ‘Dasurv’ line during the show’s opening, which aired after the former President was brought to the ICC.

Some fans expressed their concern for Kim’s safety, saying that the actress should receive additional security, especially during her mall tour in Cebu City with Paulo Avelino.

According to the fans, Kim’s security was in jeopardy as she would visit Cebu, where Duterte was popular.

Meanwhile, a bakeshop in Davao City also captured the attention of the netizens after they blocked the image of Kim, one of their endorsers.

Some fans believed that the company owning the bakeshop should remind their branches not to involve the actress in political issues.

Nakakahiya kayo,” the netizen said.

It can be recalled that Kim repeatedly denied that they’re taking a swipe against Duterte during the said episode and only following the script provided to them by the production.

A funeral home confirmed that one of the claimed victims of ‘Duterte drug war’ passed away in 2024, two years after former President Rodrigo Duterte left the office.

It can be recalled that ABS-CBN published the photo of the victim’s mother who attended a press conference to give their reaction to Duterte’s ICC trial.

However, several netizens who claimed to personally know the victim, said that he passed away in 2024, and not during the administration of Duterte.

The victim was identified as Ryan A. Barbacena, 24, who passed away on June 23, 2024, according to Jara Funeral Services.

In a statement, the funeral home insisted that the information they published was true and the post was not manipulated.

As of writing, the Barbacena family has yet to give their reaction to the issue.

It can be recalled that if ICC found Duterte guilty, the victims listed on the charges would receive reparation.

Actress Rica Peralejo gave her comment amid the disturbance happening in the country after former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest.

In her post, Rica said that people should respect the supporters of the former President, but at the same time, must also allow the opposition to express their opinion.

However, the actress said that Duterte supporters should stop hiding behind their ‘prayers’ to secretly express their support to the former President.

She argued that the supporters of Duterte didn’t pray for the EJK victims.

“Respect for Duterte supporters. Respect for those who do not. But I have none for those who are secretly for Duterte, but cloak their statements with ideologies such as “let’s pray for the nation,” said Rica.

“Sabihin nalang kasi ng diretso. Kasi wala namang call to prayer nung panahon ng EJK,” she added.

It can be recalled that Duterte’s arrest sparked protest in different parts of the country, and was expected to intensified this coming weekend.

Duterte was currently in the custody of the ICC in the Netherlands, where he was expected to face trial anytime soon.

CIDG chief PMGen Nicolas Torre III apologized to the public for the special treatment received by the Duterte family during the serving of a warrant from the Interpol on March 11, 2025.

In an interview, Torre admitted that the treatment former President Rodrigo Duterte received was considered special and too much for an individual being arrested.

He mentioned how they allowed Duterte to use the 250th presidential airlift wing even if he was not the president anymore.

Torre even said that they allowed Duterte to use the chair of the sitting president in the airwing, which was the most comfortable.

That’s the 250th airlift wing which is the presidential airlift wing of the Republic of the Philippines. Hindi ba special treatment ‘yon?” said Torre.

Torre admitted that it was a mistake that he gave VIP treatment to Duterte, but he explained that it was required so they could fulfill their order to bring the former president to the ICC.

Several members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) publicly announced their resignation from the organization following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Duterte was currently in the Hague in the Netherlands to face the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Before being flown to the Netherlands, the way Duterte was put under the custody of the authorities led by CIDG Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III became subject of controversy.

In their Facebook post, Jing Ejes and Ditz Ragasa were among the uniformed personnel who tendered their resignation, claiming they couldn’t wear their badge with pride anymore due to the developments happening in the country.

“I used to wear this uniform with so much pride during the Duterte administration. Every day, I carried the badge with dignity, knowing that the work we were doing was for the betterment of our country, for the people. We fought hard, bled, sweated, and sacrificed so much, believing we were part of something bigger, something meaningful,” said Ragasa.

“But now, under the BBM administration, it’s hard to feel the same way. The pride I once had is slowly fading. The ideals we fought for now seem overshadowed by politics, greed, and selfish interests. We’re still out here doing our jobs, but it feels like the cause we once believed in has been lost. The sacrifice we made feels taken for granted, and it’s disheartening to see how we’re being used for someone else’s gain,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ejes said that she wanted to leave PNP while she still had respect for the organization.

“The value I once found in it no longer holds the same weight. And so, I decided that, much like in any relationship, it may be best to part ways while there is still some respect left. I may not know where life will take me next, but I do know that I leave with my dignity intact,” she stated.

There were rumors that the PNP disallowed its personnel to engage with pro-Duterte content amid the tension broiling in the country.

Veronica “Kitty” Duterte couldn’t stop herself from cursing at CIDG Chief Nicolas Torre III after the latter repeatedly denied information on where they would transport her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a video uploaded by Kitty on her Instagram, it showed former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea arguing with Torre about the order to transfer Duterte to the airplane.

However, Torre warned that they were ready to use force to carry out the order.

“Eto lang ‘yung sinasabi ko sa inyo na we can do this hard way, we can do this easy way,” Torre said.

They then asked Torre about the destination of the plane where Duterte was set to be transported, but he denied answering the questions.

Several moments after, Kitty, who was holding the phone used for recording the video, could be heard shouting at Torre.

“Sabihin niyo kung saan siya dalahin. T*ng i-a ka,” Kitty told Torre.

As of writing, Duterte’s camp was still hoping that the Supreme Court would issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) to prevent the former president from being transported to the said plane.

There were reports that the plane was set to fly to The Hague in Netherlands where Duterte would face trial before the ICC.

Bringing Duterte to the hospital too much to ask – Gen. Torre

CIDG Chief Nicolas Torre III said that the request made by former President Rodrigo Duterte to be brought to the hospital to be checked would be too much.

A video uploaded on social media showed tension inside the Kalayaan Hall at Villamor Airbase, where the former President was expected to undergo the booking process.

Atty. Martin Delgra could be heard and seen arguing with Torre about the rights of the former president to seek medical treatment in a hospital of his choice.

Delgra said that the PNP could do the booking process while Duterte is in the hospital.

However, Torre insisted that the booking process should happen in Villamor Airbase.

“What is clear is we need to do the booking process now, sir, period,” said Torre.

Duterte’s common-law wife Honeylet Avancena also confronted Torre.

Several sources said that there was an aircraft waiting for Duterte, which was believed to be the plane that would transfer the former president to the Hague in the Netherlands.

A content creator who drank and poured gasoline in his body was asking for help after his stunt turned disastrous.

The content creator, identified as Isagani Camare Canja, a resident of Iloilo, suffered third-degree burns on his body after his stunt.

In the said video he uploaded on social media, Canja could be seen asking his followers not to imitate his stunt before taking a gulp of gasoline, pouring the remaining fluid on his body.

He then set himself on fire, which was captured on video.

Three hours later, Canja told his followers that he was already in the hospital being treated.

A friend who visited Canja reminded the followers to stop creating extreme content to gain views.

A supposed happy vacation of a family almost became a nightmare after they were blocked by several airport security personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on March 6, 2025, due to an amulet made by a bullet allegedly found in her bag.

In her Facebook post, Ruth Adel said that she was already in the process of boarding their flight to Vietnam when several airport security personnel approached them and informed them that they found a suspicious banned item in her bag.

Adel claimed that the officials invited them to a room so they could scrutinize their items, but they refused.

The airport security eventually cleared them as they couldn’t see the suspicious item in her bag.

In a video posted by Adel, the said bag also included an envelope where they stored their pocket money.

Tas may pinapakita siyang picture ng xray ng bag,” she said.

Tinatakpan nila mga name tag nila,” she added.

As of writing, the management of NAIA has yet to give their comment on the issue.

Several netizens were concerned that the ‘Laglag Bala’ modus was happening again.

Laglag Bala is known for victimizing passengers by intentionally planting illegal items, which include a bullet in the baggage of their victims.
