Rosmar Tan at Rendon Labador, posibleng ideklarang persona non-grata sa buong Palawan

The incident involving motivational speaker Rendon Labador, businessman Rosmar Tan, and their colleagues in Team Malakas in a municipality in Coron has reached the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Palawan.

In his speech, Palawan Board Member Anton Alvarez pushed to declare Rendon, Rosmar, and other members of Team Malakas as undesirable visitors in the whole province.

According to him, Team Malakas took extreme actions by rushing to the municipal hall of Coron just because one of their employees published a negative opinion against them.

Additionally, Alvarez said that even the officials of Coron had already asked him to support the declaration of persona non-grata against the said social media personalities in the whole province to teach them a hard lesson.

“Let’s us discuss the possibility of also declaring the said personalities persona non-grata not just only in the municipality of Coron, but the whole province of Palawan,” he added.

Several members of the Sangguninang Panlalawigan already expressed their support for Alvarez’s appeal.

As of writing, Team Malakas has yet to respond to Alvarez’s plans.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador, entrepreneur Rosmar Tan, and the whole Team Malakas presented themselves to the public to apologize for their behavior during their visit to Coron, Palawan.

Rendon and Rosmar became one of the top topics this week after a video of them confronting an employee of Coron Municipal Hall was published on social media.

The issue started when the employee, Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, criticized Rendon and Rosmar’s visit to Coron and even accused them of using the municipal staff for their benefit.

After the incident, a councilor of Coron pushed to declare the two social media personalities persona non grata in the municipality.

Rendon and Rosmar apologized to the whole municipality of Coron and Trinidad to address the criticism they received.

Rendon explained that they stormed the municipal hall not to act as influencers, or popular figures but as Filipino citizens who wanted to air their disappointment to a public servant.

Rendon, Rosmar, and Team Malakas vowed to regain the trust of the public by continuing their advocacy, which includes visiting several provinces in the Philippines to distribute help.

A restaurant owner reportedly complained about how Team Malakas, led by Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador, didn’t pay for their meals in exchange for “promoting” their establishment.

In a tweet, a netizen narrated how the coordinator of the said social media influencers allegedly talked to one of her friends, who was a restaurant owner in Coron, for a sponsorship deal in exchange for free food.

However, the restaurant owner was reportedly unaware that he would serve food to the group for free.

According sa manager, magulo kausap ‘yung coordinator nila. So ayun ang dami nilang order and saka nalang nainform na nagpapasponsor nung inabot na ang bill sa kanila. Even sa serves no tip,” the netizen said.

“Actually If I am not mistaken, lahat ng restaurants na kiinainan nila sa Coron ay “Sponsored” (na sila ang nag desisyon),” she added.

The netizen also confirmed the said reports to other users.

It can be recalled that Rosmar and Rendon faced controversy after their visit to Coron, where they confronted one of the island’s municipal employees.

As a response, several officials of Coron were pushing for the two influencers to be declared as persona non-grata.

After his trend as one of the most popular social media personalities last year ended, mime performer Jhonwel Reyes, a.k.a Green Soldier, made several ways to earn additional income, including building a business.

Some netizens featured Reyes again in several social media posts after they saw him selling sweets while performing in his usual place in Baguio City.

Reyes reacted to the people who made fun of his new business.

According to Reyes, the ‘pastillas’ they were selling are homemade, and they’re slowly increasing their production to meet the growing demand for his products.

He also bought equipment already to ramp up the production of his sweets.

It can be recalled that before Diwata, Green Soldier enjoyed tremendous social media reach due to his funny performances. He even filled the 1.7-km session road with tourists—some who visited Baguio just to see him.

However, nothing was permanent as his trend dwindled, but he still continued his job as a street performer.

Viva artist Mary Joy Santiago would face charges after claiming that a Highway Patrol Group member escorted her vehicle.

It can be recalled that Santiago’s post received criticism on social media after she flexed how her “husband” hired an HPG member to escort their vehicle.

“How can I settle for less when my husband hired a HPG ESCORT para lang hindi ako ma traffic sa pupuntahan ko? (Have my own driver and car)” she wrote.

According to HPG, they couldn’t identify the escort, which led them to conclude that the rider was not their member.

They said the rider was wearing an old uniform, which had already been replaced many months ago.

Santiago released a statement after her post went viral and even challenged the people to find the truth about her husband.

“So my IG STORY WENT VIRAL. I am a politician’s other woman DAW and KABIT. Lol KASAL PO KAMI Napost ko nadin po siya [laughing crying emoji,” she said.

“Come on, since u’re only collecting info on socials, y not extend ur skills and find out urselves if ur opinion is the truth? Or maybe ur opinion satisfies your needs for drama. ENJOY MGA KEYBOARD WARRIOR,” she added.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador raised the eyebrows of the people of Coron after he talked about how his colleague, Rosmar Tan, became so stressed during their visit to the place.

In his Facebook post, Rendon said that he confronted the municipal employee who criticized their visit to Coron due to Rosmar’s capability of taking revenge.

Netizens and the people of Coron couldn’t hide their disappointment at Rendon’s post.

“What is Rosmar’s net worth anyway? Bakit parang tingin sa kanya ng mga tao and ng sarili nya mismo parang kalevel nya sina Heart when it comes to wealth?” a netizen asked.

“A very distasteful joke. Kahit half-truth na meron talaga silang nabibiling mga tambay na walang prinsipyo at pagsisikap sa buhay, hindi talaga nakakatawa yang joke nya, especially when we are dealing with bullying in our own oceans and our government being lenient to these POGO operators and protectors,” another netizen commented.

It can be recalled that Rosmar and Rendon were being pushed to be declared as persona non-grata in the municipality of Coron due to their disrespectful behavior.

Patawad,” she added.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador and Entrepreneur Rosmar Tan may be barred from entering Coron, Palawan, after confronting one of the municipal staff members who criticized their humanitarian mission.

The issue started when one of the municipal staff, Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, addressed Rosmar and Rendon for causing inconvenience to the people of Coron, who were hoping to receive help from the social media influencers.

Trinidad claimed that Rendon and Rosmar only used the LGU staff of Palawan for their publicity.

Kayo ba naman nagpa laro ng bring Me pustiso Hindi niyo nga hinawakan?” the government worker wrote.

The post prompted Rosmar and Rendon to storm the municipal hall to confront the official.

Ikaw yon, ikaw yon? Halika dito. Ano bang ipinagmamalaki mo?” Rendon told Trinidad.

As a response, Coron councilor John Patrick Reyes drafted a resolution to declare the two social media personalities as persona non-grata in their municipality.

“RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to declare Rendon Labador, Rosemarie Tan Pamulaklakin a.k.a. Rosmar and Marki Tan as persona non-grata in the Municipality of Coron, Palawan for their disrespectful behavior, negative publicity, incitement to conflict, and violation of Republic Act No. 10951, also known as the ‘Property and Damage Penalty Adjustment Act’; Article 153 of the Revised Penal Code; and Republic Act No. 11313, also known as the “Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law),” Reyes’ resolution read.

Even the Mayor’s office of Coron already released a statement to criticize Rendon and Rosmar’s acts.
