A congresswoman faced controversy after some eagle-eyed netizens examined the bags, accessories, and watches she wore at events.

The said congresswoman, Abra Rep. Ching Bernos, was seen wearing some of the most expensive bags, watches, and accessories available in the market.

In a Facebook post shared by Tetelestai, Bernos could be seen owning a Hermes Neige Faubourge Birkin 20 White Matte Alligator Handbag worth P23.4-M and also a Hermes So Black Midnight Faubourge Birkin 20 Matte Alligator Handbag worth P19.5-M.

She was also spotted wearing expensive watches like Richard Mille RM07-01 for Ladies in 18K White Gold Top Diamonds with Red Jasper Island Diamond, worth P12.5-M; Richard Mille RM 72-01 Titanium Automatic Chronograph worth P17.4-M; Richard Mille RM 029 worth P10.6-M; Richard Mille Automatic Winding Lifestyle Flyback Chronograph worth P16.7-M, Patek Philippe Aquanaut Rose Gold worth P5.1-M and more.

Some netizens questioned how a public official could display such wealth regardless of the rules set for public officials and employees which stated that “Officials and employees and their families shall lead modest and simple lives appropriate to their position and income. They shall not indulge in extravagant or ostentatious display of wealth in any form,”

As of this writing, Rep. Bernos has yet to respond about how she afforded such items.

Actress Heart Evangelista went viral on social media after she shared her preparation for the upcoming Milan Fashion Week.

In her video, Heart shared the possible OOTDs she would bring to the prestigious event.

She also shared the invitation she received from Fendi’s Artistic director, Kim Jones.

Doctor Willie Ong showed the effects of the chemotherapy he was taking after being diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.

In his Threads, Juniño Padilla shared some of the screencaps taken during his conversation with Dr. Willie, who’s also his godfather.

“Surprise Morning call from Ninong Doc Willie Ong from Singapore. Laban lang ingat po kayo,” said Padilla.

In the said photo, Dr. Willie visibly lost weight, and also most of his hair was already gone.

The celebrity doctor was in Singapore to take medical procedures in an attempt to prolong his life.

Several days ago, Dr. Willie went viral on social media after he finally revealed his condition, a rare type of Sarcoma Cancer.

He said that saying that he had a 16x13x12 centimeter Sarcoma in his abdomen. Additionally, they also found a tumor behind his heart and T10 Spine.

“San ko nakuha ‘to? Tingin ko stress, na-stress ako sa mga comments. Na-stress ako sa mga bashers,” he said.

“Na-stress ako kasi hindi tunay lahat ng sinasabi dahil sobra ko kayong mahal. Sobrang mahal ko ang Pilipino. Sobrang mahal ko mga mahihirap tapos sasabihin nila ginagamit ko lang,” he added.

He also revealed that he experienced Neutropenic Sepsis, which resulted in him becoming delirious from time to time.

Film Development Council of the Philippines and award-winning director Joey Javier Reyes asked his friends in the media industry to stop giving any platform to two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo’s mother.

In his Facebook post, Reyes said that Angelica’s statement against her son tarnished the people’s celebration of the honor brought by Carlos to the country.

“So please don’t give media space to a drama queen mother who wants to tarnish the moment of GLORY of HER OWN SON regardless of personal reason. She and her narrative should be collectively IGNORED,” said Joey.

In his vlog, he said that he experienced Neutropenic Sepsis, which made him delirious several times.

According to him, his experiences almost ended his battle with cancer.

Dr. Willie then expressed his disappointment as he mentioned the stress caused by the criticism he received when he ran for Vice President last presidential elections.

“I think I got all this pain from negative thoughts and negative emotions. From all the hurt from all the bashing I got from the 2022 Vice Presidential campaign,” he said

“I just ran for Vice President. What did I do wrong?” added Dr. Willie. “I did not do anything wrong. I love everyone of you,”

The celebrity doctor then talked about the corruption in this country.

“Anyway, I’m dying. I don’t care anymore; I will tell you the truth. Politicians are corrupt in the Philippines, sorry po ha? Kaibigan ko po kayo lahat. Pasensya na po. Nagkaka vision ako kagabi eh,” he stated.

“Hindi niyo alam kung gaano ko kayo kamahal,” he added.

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo became a topic again among netizens after they noticed that a popular powdered chocolate brand did not recognize him.

It can be recalled that Carlos was supported by the said brand since he was still a kid.

However, some netizens noticed the brand’s treatment of Carlos after he won two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a tweet, AltA2Z posted a photo of Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena, who was recognized by the brand, and questioned why Carlos didn’t receive the same treatment.

The page even suspected that it might related to Carlos’ issue with his family.

Meanwhile some netizens believed that it might be related to Carlos’ lack of contract with the brand.

“Nag iingat lang Milo. Now na maraming kumukuha kay Carlos as endorser and he is currently not under contract baka magkaroon ng conflict. I don’t think dragging his family problems into it is necessary,” netizen Catrina remarked.

The brand was one of the brands that congratulated Carlos during his Paris victory.

Internet celebrity Chloe San Jose clapped back to the netizens who accused her of being a ‘retokada.’

In one of her posts, Chloe denied that she had already undergone procedures to enhance her appearance.

It can be recalled that last month, Carlos vowed to meet his father, but until today, the Filipino gymnast reportedly refused to respond to his family’s attempts to reach him.

Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas gave advice to Angelica Yulo amid her possible participation in the Mrs. Philippines next year.

In his vlog, Dr. Ong shared the findings of the doctor, saying that he had a 16x13x12 centimeter Sarcoma in his abdomen. Additionally, they also found a tumor behind his heart and T10 Spine.

According to him, the mass found in his body already blocked his esophagus and some parts of his heart.

When asked about the possible cause of his cancer, Dr. Ong said that he possibly got it from reading negative comments from his critics.

“San ko nakuha ‘to? Tingin ko stress, na-stress ako sa mga comments. Na-stress ako sa mga bashers,” he said.

“Na-stress ako kasi hindi tunay lahat ng sinasabi dahil sobra ko kayong mahal. Sobrang mahal ko ang Pilipino. Sobrang mahal ko mga mahihirap tapos sasabihin nila ginagamit ko lang,” he added.

He was currently undergoing chemotherapy in an attempt to prevent the cancer from spreading around his body.

Dr. Ong said he had already lost 50% of his hair and 22 pounds.

In another post, Dr. Willie said he would use his condition to share awareness with the public and even asked the content creators to use it freely.

“If God will grant me a miraculous healing for my huge 16 cm sarcoma, I will spend the rest of my remaining days fighting and lobbying for our poor countrymen,” he said.

He also shared some realizations in life after being diagnosed with cancer.

“Bakit ang mabait, honest at maawain ay mabilis mamatay. Pero ang mga corrupt mahaba ang buhay at malusog? Haha…Bakit kaya?” he asked.
