Doctor of Eddie Garcia reveals that the actor is in critical condition due to broken neck

The doctor of Eddie Garcia debunked the previous reports that the veteran actor suffered a heart attack which resulted in him to pass out in the middle of the taping for the upcoming show of GMA-7.

According to Dr. Enrique Lagman, the family doctor of Eddie revealed that several validating tests proved that the 90-year-old actor broke his neck.

“The doctors ruled out the first heart attack and stroke prognosis made at around 2 pm after those were disproven by several validating tests done in Mary Johnston Hospital later in the evening,” Garcia said.

“The family requests for prayers and asks for privacy at this moment,” he added.

A video has been circulating on social media, showing the moments before Garcia loss his consciousness. It can be seen that Garcia collapsed after his feet trip in a cable wire during their taping.

As a response, GMA 7 said that they’re going to review the video to find out the real reason for Garcia’s hospitalization.

“The video of Mr. Eddie Garcia faltering in his steps & eventually collapsing has reached GMA. We are seriously reviewing the said video as well as other videos of the same scene which our cameras also took before we make any conclusions on what really transpired.” GMA-7 said in their statement.

On Saturday, thousands of fans of Garcia expressed their sadness about what happened to their idol, who’s known for being one of the pillars of Filipino show business.

Garcia is currently at Makati Medical Center and still under observation. His friends and colleagues kept visiting Garcia to show their love to the veteran actor.

Ben Tulfo to critics: “Hindi namin kailangan ng PNP escorts. May VIP security kami!”

Journalist and BITAG Host Ben Tulfo answered back to a netizen who asked if he’s afraid of the order of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to remove their security escorts following the rift between his brother Erwin and DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista.

In a tweet, Tulfo claimed that they don’t need the security personnel from PNP anymore because they already hired their bodyguards consisted of former military members.

Tulfo added that some of them are also former ring fighters who are knowledgable with close combat.

“Hindi namin kailangan ng PNP escorts. May mga VIP security escort kami, yung iba sa kanila ring fighters at yung iba ay mga honorably discharged na army na handang lumaban sa oras ng gitgitan. Ever heard the word “the last man standing” when the smoke settles?” Tulfo told the netizen.

In his primary tweet, Ben also mocked Bautista for his demands to his brother Erwin, asking if the retired General is having financial problems.

“Kapag ang tao nagpakumbaba, umaamin ng pagkakamali ay hindi dahil natitinag at natatakot. Patatawarin mo o hindi? Dami mong cheche bureche. O baka may matinding pangangailangan, dinadaan lang sa donasyon?” Tulfo said.

Ben is one of the vocal members of the Tulfo family against Bautista.

On May 27, Erwin Tulfo started the issue when he berated the retired General in his radio show.

Following his statements, PNP and AFP removed their security detail to the Tulfo siblings.

PNP also asked Erwin to surrender his firearms after they found that his license was already expired.

Journalist Ben Tulfo wrote an open letter to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista, urging the latter to not make money or conditions as his basis for forgiving people.

The host of TV Show BITAG, made the letter after Bautista demanded that Erwin Tulfo should donate an amount no less than P300,000 to 19 groups connected to the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

According to Ben Tulfo, journalists got their style of serving the people, like his brother who’s known for being tough when reporting or talking to people.

Despite the style of his brother, Ben believed that many people trusted Erwin.

“Linawin natin, ‘di niyo magugustuhan ang estilo niya pero may laman at katotohanan. Hindi niya lang napigilan ang kaniyang emosyon.” Ben Tulfo said in his post.

“Kung sino pa yung brusko, magaspang, mayabang at sabihin niyo nang may “pagka-bastos”, pinagkakatiwalaan ng mga taong nasa ibaba at walang mga boses.” he added.

“Lahat nagkakamali at natututo. Walang perpekto. May kasabihan sa Ingles, it’s never a mistake or a failure as long as you learned from it.”

He also urged Bautista to accept Erwin’s apology unconditionally, pointing out that they’re supporting the same administration.

“Nagpaumanhin na ng dalawang beses sa media si Erwin. Sa taong nasaktan, kung ayaw mong tanggapin, huwag mong patawarin! Huwag na huwag mong lalagyan ng presyo at mga kondisyones ang iyong pagpapatawad!” he said.

“Pare-pareho tayong nasa panig ng pamahalaan. Hindi tayo magkakalaban, hindi lang tayo nagkaintindihan. Sabi nga ng palasyo sa media, its time to move on!” he added.

Ben said that they’re also fine without the security detail from PNP, saying that they’re also paying for it.

Ben also offered some of his protective agent to his brother Erwin.

Ben Tulfo throws shade against Bautista: “Sa palagay niyo kaya mananahimik lang ako?”

Ben Tulfo threw shade against the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Rolando Bautista and his colleagues.

Tulfo made a post against Bautista and the so-called brotherhood of the Philippine Military Academy after the DSWD Secretary demanded Tulfo to donate no less than 300,000 pesos to 19 groups connected to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

In his post, the host of TV show BITAG said that he would not allow the enemies of his brother Erwin to win.\

He didn’t mention the name of Bautista in the post, but he’s obviously reacting to the recent statement of the DSWD Secretary.

“Sa palagay niyo kaya mananahimik lang ako’t hahayaan ko ‘tong mga kumag, kenkoy at kolokoy na maghari-harian?” Tulfo said in his post.

He also believed that Bautista’s demands for his brother are ridiculous.

Yesterday, Bautista told Tulfo that he wanted the journalist to donate 300,000 pesos to 19 organizations/group he chose.

The DSWD Secretary also told the journalist to publish his apology to his own social media accounts and leading newspaper.

DSWD Sec. Bautista saves Erwin Tulfo’s life decades ago in Jolo – PMA Alumnus

A Philippine Military Academy (PMA) alumnus and a friend of Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Bautista revealed an unusual story about the latter and journalist Erwin Tulfo.

According to Nick Sotelo, a retired member of the Philippine Airforce, Tulfo, and Bautista met decades ago before they reunited after the journalist berated the former general in his radio show.

Sotelo who posted the photo showed the retired General who’s a young Scout Ranger during those time, together with Erwin Tulfo who’s still a new journalist doing his job in Jolo, Sulu.

The story told that Tulfo (wearing white t-shirt) was rescued by Bautista (wearing a white sleeveless shirt) and other members of Philippine Scout Rangers after the journalist’ speedboat sunk.

“These were the Army Rangers, whom the good DSWD secretary belongs to, who saved the man in distress. The secretary, then at J-3 or Tradoc, was the target of that foulmouthed ingrate, cursing & lambasting him on his radio program last week.” Sotelo said.

“Amnesia is indeed such a despicable disease!! Even worse, when coupled with an obnoxious bloodline,” he added.

It’s not known if Erwin Tulfo was aware of the said incident.

We are trying to get the reaction of Mr. Erwin Tulfo and Sec. Bautista on the story posted by Sotelo.

The issue between Tulfo and Bautista started when the journalist berated the DSWD Secretary who allegedly refused to be interviewed on the former’s radio program, Radyo Pilipinas.

As a result, Tulfo loses his security detail and might face charges for his statements against Bautista.

However, in a statement, the retired General said that he prefers Tulfo to donate in the 19 organizations/groups related to the AFP instead of spending money in lawsuits.

Bautista asks Tulfo to donate in 19 groups, and make his apology public

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista set a condition to journalist Erwin Tulfo to prove that he’s really sincerely apologizing for his statement against the retired General.

In a statement, Bautista said that he would only accept the apology of Tulfo he would follow the conditions set by the DSWD Secretary, like publishing his letter of apology in all of his social media accounts, radio stations, and leading broadsheets.

Bautista also demanded that Tulfo should donate not less than 300,000 pesos to the organizations he listed to the letter.

These groups are:

1. Philippine Military Academy (PMA)

2. Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated

3. Association of Generals and Flag Officers

4. First Scout Ranger Regiment, Philippine Army (PA)

5. Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), PA

6. Light Reaction Regiment, PA

7. Philippine National Police Special Action Force

8. Philippine Naval Special Operations Group, Philippine Navy (PN)

9. Philippine Marines Special Operations Group, PN

10. Philippine National Police Maritime Group

11. The trust fund for the city of Marawi’s internally displaced persons to be administered by DSWD BARM

12. Philippine Veterans Hospital

13. AFP Victoriano Luna Medical Center

14. Philippine National Police Camp Crame General Hospital

15. Philippine Army General Hospital

16. Philippine Navy General Hospital

17. Philippine Air Force General Hospital

18. Philippine Coastguard General Hospital

19. An educational trust fund for the deserving children of DSWD employees to be deposited at the Landbank.

According to Bautista, he would prefer Tulfo to donate to the said groups instead of paying for the possible libel case that he would face for his statement against the retired General.

He also thanked his supporters including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Task Force Marawi, PMA, and his friends for showing their concerns after Tulfo made a harsh message against him.

On May 28, Tulfo criticized Bautista on his radio show at Radyo Pilipinas after the retired General refused for an interview.

Bautista slowly gained support from his friends and groups and demanded Tulfo to apologize.

At first, Tulfo said that he could apologize to Bautista, but he would not take back his statements against him.

But when PNP started to recall the security detail of Erwin Tulfo and his other relatives, he decided to make a public apology, explaining that he was not aware by the achievements of Bautista.

Hidilyn Diaz asks the government to hire her boyfriend as conditioning coach for $1,900 and condo – former PSC Chairman

After Rio Olympics weight lifting silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz complained about her financial problems in the middle of her road to the gold medal, a former official of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) made a shocking revelation about the athlete.

Yesterday, the former PSC Chairman posted the photo of Diaz and her alleged boyfriend Julius Irvin Naranjo Naranjo.

Six hours after he introduced the couple to his followers, he explained in another social media post why he wanted social media users to be aware of the relationship between Diaz and Naranjo.

In his post, former PSC Chairman Dr. Aparicio Mequi claimed that Diaz told the government that she wanted to hire her boyfriend, Naranjo as her conditioning coach.

However, the PSC didn’t grant the request of Diaz after she revealed that they need to pay her boyfriend $1,500 (78,000 PHP) monthly, a condominium where Naranjo can stay while doing his job as a conditioning coach, and another $400 (20,000 PHP) for utilities.

Aparicio was skeptical about the request of Diaz, saying that if her boyfriend loves her, he should offer his service for free.

“She wanted PSC to hire him as her strength and conditioning (S&C) coach with a salary of $1,500 and condo inclusive of utilities at $400 or a total of $1,900/month! Now, this fella is from Guam ??, named Julius Irvin Naranjo. If he really cares for and loves Hidilyn, why doesn’t he just help her without asking for remunerations?” Mequi said.

“Does he have a working Visa? If none, then BOI should deport him asap! Anyway, PSC didn’t grant this special request for Hidilyn. Hopefully, she will not use this as an excuse if she doesn’t win a medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.” he added.

While some believed that Diaz is allegedly trying to demand a high salary for her boyfriend, a netizen explained that the silver medalist is only asking a little money compared to other athletes who wanted to win the Olympics.

“In ice skating the US$1,500 is good for only 10sessions(2hrs each), for non-olympian level only. But for Olympian like Michael Martinez its 150US per coach per specialty. Spin, jumps, choreo for example 3coachesx$150US = US$450 per day less off ice training, S&C’s, etc. Approx US$800 per day. Mrs.Martinez spends around 30-40M for 7yrs before SM Corp., after the Sochi Olympics, gave him US$20,000 per month.” netizen Ayasofya Aguirre said.

Dr. Mequi posted the story the same day after Diaz met with the PSC officials to discuss her financial problems.

PSC said that they’re ready to give more support to Diaz.

On June 4, Hidilyn became the headline of news outlets after complaining about her financial problem, she also asked for a sponsorship from private companies.

“Hirap na hirap na ko, I need financial support,” Diaz said.
