Sen. Trillanes posts P200,000 bail for his temporary freedom for Rebellion case

Hours after Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 150 issued an arrest warrant and hold departure order against Senator Antonio Trillanes, the camp of the fiercest critic of the government issued ₱200,000 bail.

The court ordered Trillanes’ arrest after they found “factual and legal bases” for Duterte’s proclamation.

The bail secured the temporary freedom of the Senator who’s facing his rebellion case again after President Rodrigo Duterte declared the amnesty that Trillanes received in 2010 as void.

The said court granted the motion filed by Department of Justice (DOJ) to grant an arrest warrant and revive the case in connection with the coup in 2007 that led by Sen. Trillanes.

Trillanes voluntarily surrendered to authorities after the arrest warrant has been released and followed the standard booking procedures.

Before posting bail, Sen. Trillanes met Vice President Leni Robredo at the Senate building.

According to the release order, the “initial presentation of prosecution evidence is set on November 21, 2018”.

Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe was happy that the court allowed Sen. Trillanes to post bail.

“It’s good that there’s a chance for Trillanes to post bail,” Poe said.

She also said that all the members of the Senate “are sympathetic” for what happened to their colleague Trillanes.

Poe also pointed out the current development on the proclamation of President Rodrigo Duterte might endanger the other amnesty filed in the past.

However, Poe said that she’s confident that Sen. Trillanes can defend himself from the accusations against him.

Trillanes’ ally, Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano criticized the government and said that the “administration will do everything to silence” the Senator.

Trillanes on his arrest: “Nanaig ang kadiliman at kasamaan dito sa ating bayan!”

After the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) filed a warrant of arrest and hold departure order against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for his rebellion case, the fiercest critic of President Rodrigo Duterte said that the dark side succeeded in their plan.

According to Trillanes, the democracy lost today because Makati RTC favored the government in voiding his amnesty received in 2010.

He said that the proclamation 572 which revoking the amnesty by Trillanes is a test for the judicial system and the democracy.

“Natalo ang demokrasya ngayong araw na ito (Democracy lost today),” Trillanes said in a press briefing on Tuesday.

“Gaya ng sinasabi ko last week, itong petisyon namin sa korte ay isang pagsubok sa tibay ng ating demokrasaya ng ating judicial system,” he added.

Trillanes claimed that they presented sufficient pieces of evidence to the court, however, the judge still decided to order the arrest of the Senator.

“Kahit ipanakita na namin lahat ng ebidensya kontra sa kanilang mga kadahilanan ang aking amnesty ay gayon pa rin ay inilabas pa rin itong warrant of arrest na ito,” he said.

The government claimed that Trillanes failed to submit an application form and that he did not admit his guilt in the crimes covered by the amnesty.

Trillanes stated that the democracy has already gone in the Philippines.

Former Davao City Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte teaches Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on how he could correctly prove his accusations against his enemies.

On September 19, Duterte filed another libel case against the fiercest critic of his father, saying that the Senator accused him of being a smuggler of illegal drugs in the country.

After he filed the case, Duterte posted a Facebook message addressed to Trillanes, saying that he should bring his accusations in the court and not to the media.

Duterte also said that Trillanes’ accusations are nonsense and only trying to destroy the reputations of others using the power of publicity.

“Ito ang tamang proseso at venue, file ka ng kaso hindi ung pupunta ka sa media magpapa presscon, magdadadakdak, kahit ano pinagsasabi mo na wala namang batayan, walang kwenta at saysay. Puro salita para manira ng kapwa. ” Pulong said.

“SHABU SMUGGLING SA IMONG KIGOL! (Shabu smuggling your a**!)” he added.

In the post, it also showed Pulong filing the libel case together with his lawyer, Atty. Rainier Madrid

Based on the complaint, Trillanes was quoted as saying in the DZMM program that Paolo and his friends were responsible in smuggling of drugs in the country including the P6.4-B crystal meth slipped through the Bureau of Customs (BOC) this year.

The senator alleged that the principal actors in the shipment were connected to Paolo, even accusing the latter of being the “handler” of the drug shipment.

Trillanes repeated the same accusation on Pinky Webb’s CNN program.

The camp of Pulong asked the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to look into both incidents.

“Worse, respondent had also defamed and labeled me and my father as “principal actors” in the illegal drug trade in Davao City,” Duterte said in his affidavit

“Evidently, it was and is intended to malign, destroy and kill my good name and reputation, locally, nationally and internationally. This is especially so as I am the eldest son of our sitting President,” he added.

Yesterday, Davao City Prosecutor’s office issued a subpoena against Senator Trillanes. They give him 10 days to file a counter-affidavit against the Libel case filed by Duterte and his brother-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio.

Trillanes labeled the cases filed against him as “harassment” and the authorities might arrest him if he goes out of the Senate building travels to Davao City, the hometown of the President.

The Senator is known for accusing his political enemies publicly.

ABS-CBN customer data stolen, payment skimmer found in their online store

A Dutch Security researcher found a payment skimmer in ABS-CBN online store that might steal the financial data of their customers.

According to the report of business technology site zdnet.com, researcher Willem “gwillem” de Groot found the payment skimmer running in the said online store since August 16.

De Groot said that the skimmer sent the financial data of ABS-CBN customer in a Russian server registered in Irkutsk.

Google Chrome already put a warning sign on the ABS-CBN online store saying that the said website contained malware hidden within a Javascript file.

It’s not yet known how many customers of ABS-CBN may have been victimized by the said malware.

As of writing, ABS-CBN is not yet releasing a statement about the discovered malware on their website.

Meanwhile, security experts urged the customers of ABS-CBN to check and secure their banks account immediately because the hackers might possibly use their money in fraudulent transactions.

Paolo Duterte calls Trillanes no balls after Davao City prosecutor issues subpoena against the Senator: “Puro dakdak, duwag naman pala!”

Former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte mocked Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and labeled him as no guts for not facing the case filed against him.

Yesterday, the Davao City Prosecutor’s Office issued a subpoena against Trillanes ordering him to submit his counter-affidavit to the libel case filed by Duterte and his brother-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio within 10 days.

Trillanes quickly held a press conference inside the Senate Building and labeled the order of the Prosecutor’s Office as a trap, saying that he can be arrested once he went out due to the revocation of his amnesty.

“I’ll cross the bridge when we get there, kung kinakailangang pumunta run (Davao), pupunta ako,” Trillanes told the Senate media.

“Ang mga legal aspect hindi ko masagot kasi ang abogado ko ang nakakaalam nyan, but sa akin kung kailangang puntahan para maayos yan, pupuntahan ko,” he added.

The fiercest critic of President Rodrigo Duterte also said that the libel case filed against him is a form of “harassment”.

“It’s very, very obvious na talagang naghahanap ng paraan to shake me down, to harass me,” he said

Trillanes also accused the judges of Davao City of receiving bribes from Pulong.

“Alam niyo yong mga judges dyan sa Davao Cty ay nakakareceive ng special allowances from the city government. Iyong kapatid ang mayor, so maliwanag na medyo makaka-impluwensya na ‘yon,” Trillanes told reporters.

However, the presidential son believes that Trillanes’ is just making another alibi to avoid facing the case that they filed.

In his Facebook post, Duterte said that Trillanes should face the case like what they did when the latter invited them in the Senate and accused them of being a member of an illegal drug triad.

Pulong also said that the Senator cannot invoke his parliamentary immunity anymore.

“Puro dakdak duwag nman pala. Ayaw at takot harapin ang kaso skanya. Walang B*yag! Atleast kmi hinarap namin sya s senado. Di na nya pwed gamitin ang parliamentary immunity nya ngayon.” Pulong said in his post.

Most of the supporters of Duterte also believed that Trillanes’ is just trying to use the victim card to gather sympathy from the public.

The rift between Sen. Trillanes and Vice Mayor Duterte started when the former accused the presidential son of being a drug lord.

They also challenged each other to take a drug test after Duterte accused Trillanes of using illegal drugs.

However, the libel case filed by Duterte against Trillanes is not about the drug triad accusation, but because the Senator claimed in a radio interview that the presidential son and his brother-in-law were asking money from Uber and other companies.

Trillanes also claimed that Paolo and Carpio were involved in extortion activities.

President Duterte urges the people to send their donations to Red Cross instead of giving it to TV networks: “They were sorting out the things that were usable to them.”

President Rodrigo Duterte urged the Filipinos who wanted to help the victims of Typhoon Ompong to avoid donating relief goods to private television networks. Instead, they should send it to Red Cross, to the government or other humanitarian organizations.

“I will not mention it but yung mga prominent TV network, I’m giving you a testimony, personal. Ang sabimag-donate kayo, used clothes ganun, sa kanila  then they’ll give you a bank account number where you can deposit your donation. You’re better off giving it to government or to the military and let them distribute it direct,” Duterte said in a situation briefing at the Provincial Capitol Guest House in Isabela.

According to Duterte, he witnessed how employees of a local television network in Davao City is stealing the relief goods entrusted to them by the good samaritans.

During his term as Davao City Mayor, Duterte has a weekly talk show titled “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa” handled by ABS-CBN network.

“Because I have a TV program, nakikita ko yung matatanda diyan sa opisina they were sorting out the things that were usable or are usable for them,” Duterte said.

Maniwala kayo sa akin as your president, I’m giving you what I saw and what I have learned so ‘yan lang muna,” he added.

Duterte clarified that he’s not forcing the people to trust the government when it comes in distributing relief goods, but according to him, he saw the public officials doing their job during the times of calamity.

Hindi naman mapilit ang perception ng tao sa amin,” Duterte said.

“But most of the officials who have sworn their duty to the people, nandiyan ‘yan nagta-trabaho,” he added.

He also praised the local officials of Isabela province for their quick disaster response on the victims of Typhoon.

Ang pumunta ako dito is to congratulate the officials, the governor, vice governor and everybody of you who were ready at the forefront really to face the onslaught and I admire the preparation…” Duterte said.

The two television network giants, ABS-CBN and GMA have their own foundation to help people during disasters.

Duterte’s anger against mainstream media started when he accused television networks of writing malicious and misleading news against him.

Artist Moira Dela Torre slams by Ilocanos for showing bad attitude before the Marcos fest: “I AM NOT A MARCOS APOLOGETIC”

Artist Moira Dela Torre is now receiving a tremendous amount of criticisms from the Ilocanos after she denied that she was aware that she’s performing in an event organized to commemorate the 101st birthday of late President Ferdinand Marcos.

In Twitter, Dela Torre clarified to her disappointed anti-Marcos fans that the organizers told her that she’s going to perform in Laoag, Ilocos Norte on September 11 for an event called “Ilocano Millenial Night.”

The discussion started when netizen Jericho Rayel Timbol (@jerichorayel) tweeted about Moira’s past post about President Rodrigo Duterte, saying that “President Duterte can still improve his speeches” and she also believed that God did not make him as a President “by accident”.

Later on, Timbol approached Dela Torre, asking about her deleted tweet and the artist’s recent performance during the Marcos event.

“I think Moira and I are on the same faith. Usually, we say this to emphasize God’s works. But categorically, it should be, “God allowed it to happen.” Mas malala ang pagkanta niya sa Marcos Event.” Timbol said.

“However, ano kaya ang masasabi ni @moirarachelle4 two years after that tweet? Dapat hindi mo dinelete ate.” he added.

In response, Dela Torre told Timbol that she deleted her tweet because her beliefs about President Duterte already changed.

The artist also denied that she was aware that she’s going to perform for the late-President.

“It’s been two years. I’ve seen more things, I’ve learned more. I deleted it because that came from a time when I didn’t know any better. This Marcos Fest was supposed to be called I-Millenial Fest. I AM NOT A MARCOS APOLOGETIC. Never will I be.” Moira said.

To prove that the organizers fooled her, Moira disclosed a reminder from her phone, showing that she got reminded that she’s going to perform at Ilocano Millenial Night.

“No, I didn’t. From the earlier reminders til before we got there, they addressed it as the Ilocano Millenial Night. Not once was his name brought up. So let me be clear about this: I performed for the people of Ilocos and NOT for Marcos.” Dela Torre said.

She said that the producers lied to her which made her more disappointed.

“It was the producer who failed to give us all the information. I think he purposely left that out to keep us from not accepting the event…. which makes me even angrier.” she said.

The said thread has gone viral on the internet and sparked outrage among Marcos supporters mostly from Ilocos Norte.

The organizers of the said event also slammed Dela Torre for denying that she was not aware of the Marcos Fest.

Aian Raquel, Head of Provincial Tourism Office of Ilocos Norte criticized Moira and accused her of being unprofessional before and during the event.

In her open letter, Raquel said that Dela Torre was aware by the Marcos fest before she flew to Laoag.

He also said that Dela Torre was in the bad shape during the event and even showed up late.

“Nobody tricked you Moira Dela Torre. You knew that the event was called “Marcos Fest,” at the very least posters were up even before you flew to Laoag. Don’t make it seem like we lied to get you to perform. Ask your agent and your manager about it and please, don’t blame the “producers.”  Thank you for bringing your music to Ilocos, and we were really appreciative of you even if you were late for 20 minutes and with a bad, sickly voice. You were supposed to perform @ 10pm. We all had fun, Moira.
But now that you are complaining about performing at an event where you’re requirements and demands were given, including your fee, bakit parang nambabastos ka?” Raquel said.

To prove that she’s aware that she’s going to perform at the Marcos Fest a netizen shared a screenshot, showing Dela Torre liked the promotional poster of the said event.

However, when we checked the promotional poster, it seems that Dela Torre already removed her reaction, but some of the netizens’ heart reaction remains in the post.

Ilocos Norte Journalist and Vera Files contributor Bernard Ver also disclosed another shocking information about Moira, accusing her of showing lousy attitude during her visit in Laoag.

According to Ver, Moira became demanding in choosing her hotel because of her allergy from “wood, dust, and pollution.”

He also said that Moira only sang 40% of her songs during the performance, saying that the artist asked the audience just to sing her song.

I was there during the concert. Ver said.

“I love your songs, but I don’t like your attitude.Tinuring ka ng maayos ng mga kababayan ko. Ngayon naman, umayos ka.” he added.

Xavier Rafales Ruiz, a tourim professional also claimed that Moira and her team acted like a “Royal Family” during their stay in Ilocos.

“Pwede ba Moira Dela Torre. You knew you were performing for the Marcos 101 event. Kung di ka Marcos “apologetic”, you could’ve declined the event. Ah wait, money. I forgot, money. And your team acted as if you were part of the Royal Family while you were in Ilocos! So many demands na pinagbigyan ka naman. Sorry, wag kami. Kakatama lang ng bagyo dito.” Ruiz said.

As of writing, the Ilocos Norte government is not yet releasing a statement on the issue.

Dela Torre is known for her songs “Malaya”, “Titibo-tibo”, and cover of Imago’s “Sundo”.

Presidential daughter Veronica Duterte also said that she idolized Moira, even showing an Instagram photo of her together with the artist.

““when @moirarachelle told me “I hope you enjoy this album and that you’re always reminded of your worth— so precious and worth fighting for” that hit me hard ?❤️? WE LÜV YOOOOOOUUUUUU ?✨,””

However, Veronica already deleted the Instagram photo as of writing.

The conversation went viral on social media in 2017, however, it was mysteriously circulated on the internet this year after it was shared by several criminology students and graduates.

Michael James Ramos Ramasasa, a criminology graduate of Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) allegedly threatened to kidnap the family of Ryan Rycel Cannillas, he even threatened the Canillas that he would harm his girlfriend and burn their house.

As an evidence that he’s serious in his threat, Michael Ramamasa sent a photo to the victim while holding an alleged firearm.

He even included his girlfriend who became the reason of the feud between Ramasasa and Canillas.

When Michael Ramamasa traced the school where Canillas studied, he threatened that he would go to his school to finish the job.

The criminology graduate also allegedly tried to extort money to Canillas in exchange of the safety of his family and girlfriend.

Ramamasa asked for 10,000 pesos in exchange of the head of Canillas’ family and girlfriend.

Michael Ramamasa explains his side

After he went viral, Michael Ramamasa explained on his Facebook page why he chosen to threaten Canillas.

He also showed some of the conversation between him and Canillas that the latter didn’t show on the internet.

According to him, Canillas disrespected and harassed his girlfriend on the internet, he also even challenged the criminology graduate to a fist fight.

When Ramamasa realized that Canillas already crossed the line, he started to threaten the guy who disrespected his girlfriend.

Ramamasa even urged Canillas to end their feud and apologize but he didn’t stop in ranting.

He also clarified that the gun that he’s holding in the photo that he sent to Canillas was fake.

Most of the netizens were also not convinced by the explanation of Ramamasa and they still attacked him on the internet despite the explanation that he gave.

If Ramamasa was proven that he threatened someone, he might face violation for grave threat, malicious mischief and extortion.

PCCR also conducted an investigation on the case of Ramamasa.

“We are currently investigating the matter. Rest assured PCCR does not tolerate or condone any form or acts of violence. Thank you” PCC said in their statement.

We are seeking for an update if PCCR already gave a disciplinary action to their student.

Duterte asks for bread and coffee for his late lunch during his arrival in Tuguegarao: “Hindi pa kasi kami kumakain”

President Rodrigo Duterte who’s usually stayed in Davao City during weekends decided to remain in Luzon this week to closely monitor the situation of the provinces affected by Typhoon Ompong.

As the weather typhoon signals have been lifted on Sunday morning, Duterte and his team quickly went to Cagayan Provincial Capitol in Tuguegarao City to discuss the preparations and operations relative to the onslaught of Typhoon Ompong with the head officials from different government agencies and local government units (LGUs).

But it seems that the President was so tired and sleepless during his arrival in Tuguegarao as he quickly asked for a quick lunch in the middle of the meeting, requesting for bread and coffee.

“Di pa kami kumain sa totoo lang.. maski pan o kape okay ako..” Duterte said.

It was seen during the meeting that Duterte was eating, a sign that the President couldn’t resist his hunger anymore.

Before the meeting, Duterte made an aerial inspection along the province together with Special Assistant to President Christopher “Bong” Go.

Duterte’s supporter praised the President for being hands-on in managing the disaster happened in Luzon.

Meanwhile, Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino reported that the government is now focusing on distributing relief goods and repairing the infrastructure destroyed by the Typhoon.

He also confirmed that there are around 24 confirmed casualties and 13 missing, mostly due to landslides.

Most of the casualties came from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

He also said that there are no casualties reported in Isabela and Quirino province.

Tolentino also urged the provinces affected to declare a state of calamity to trigger price freeze.

In response with Tolentino’s report, Duterte said that he might visit CAR tomorrow to check the situation there.

Some Cabinet members also reported to President Duterte and shared their experience during their stay in the provinces struck by the typhoon.

After the meeting, President Duterte went to Laoag Capitol in Ilocos Norte to conduct another meeting with the other government officials.

At least 270,000 people were affected by Ompong.

Edcel Lagman says Duterte administration cause damage more than Ondoy, Yolanda and Ompong

Albay’s first district Representative Edcel Lagman slammed the Duterte administration in the middle of the Typhoon Ompong’s onslaught in Luzon, saying that the current President caused more damage than the natural calamities struck the Philippines.

In his statement, Lagman said that Duterte’s policies “could be worse than the combined disasters caused by Ondoy, Yolanda, Ompong and other typhoons and calamities,”

“When President Duterte took over the presidency in July 2016, inflation was only 1.3 percent. Now it is a crippling 6.4 percent due in no small measure to culpable government neglect and errant policies,” he said.

He mentioned the economic problems faced by the Duterte government which he believes more damaging than any strongest typhoon that hit the country.

“The traffic gridlock when Duterte became President cost the country P3 billion daily in lost opportunities. Now, with the worsening traffic mess, the daily loss is equivalent to P3.5 billion or P1.3 trillion per year, which is 34 percent of the P3.757-trillion proposed budget for (next year),” he added.

Lagman also pointed out that more Filipinos are now considered themselves as poor compared to the past administration.

The Duterte administration also ruined the judicial system of the Philippines, according to Lagman citing how Atty. Maria Lourdes Sereno was ousted via an “irregular petition for quo warranto”.

“In 2016, the (country) had a fairly respectable and independent judiciary but Duterte has destroyed the judicial system when he inveigled the Supreme Court to oust in an improvident and irregular petition for quo warranto chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, whom he publicly urged to be removed for being his enemy,” he said.

Lagman also cited that the Philippines was being considered by Asian region as the leader in terms of human rights protection “but has lost that premier status when Duterte campaigned for the restoration of the death penalty and violated human rights with impunity.”

Lagman is one of the fiercest critics of the Duterte administration.

Meanwhile, netizens didn’t receive Lagman’s politicking in the middle of the natural calamity, saying that as a lawmaker he should also help the victims of the Typhoon.

“Instead of praying and helping the typhoon victims… They use it as an opportunity to Slam the govt… Is this how we want the yellows back?” Joey Ruiz said.

“Cant help but comment..in times like this, pls set aside your political anguish..many people have been greatly affected..mas makakabuti na magtulungan na lng po” Joanna Bonifacio-Luna remarked.

“The damage you and your party mates did to the Philippines is far more destructive then all the typhoons and earthquakes combined. Everytime you open your big mouth’s it is to say some horendous lies.” Carmina Gomez commented.
