As the 2019 senatorial election is becoming near, President Rodrigo Duterte mocked the allies of the Liberal party and the other members of the opposition for their constant criticisms against his administration.
During his speech, Duterte said that the people already distrusted the so-called ‘Yellows’ but they’re still making efforts to destroy the reputation of his governance.
“Iyong yellow hindi na kayo nadala… Sinusuka kayo ng mga tao. Ako… Tinat** ko na kayo, marami pa kayong daldal. Totoo,” Duterte said.
Before criticizing the yellows, Duterte also made fun of CPP Founder Joma Sison’s claimed that the chief executive was terribly ill.
“Hindi ako nakapaglagay kasi ayaw ko ‘pag nag — magtulo na. May mantika — eh ‘di nasunog. Nung nakita namin ni Jo, ni Sison, ‘Ah si Duterte dyng kasi…’ Ang mga tao kasi na may kidney, umiitiim ito. Iyang nag-a-ano na, dialysis. Itim na ang ano,” he said.
“Akala nila, sira na ang kidney ko kasi may c*ncer ko. Meron na daw ‘yun tumutubo ng… Wala namang tumutubo dito sa harap — sa likod. Sa harap meron. Totoo. Tapos… Dito sa p*** ko may dugo na raw. Minsan pag-uwi ko, tinitingnan ko. But kung minsan dito pag-ihi ko, yellow man,” Duterte added.
President Duterte repeatedly denied the claims of the opposition that he’s already in bad shape to lead the country.
However, he disclosed some of his health problems during some of his speeches.
The alleged record of the phone call between talk show host Kris Aquino and her former Manager Nicko Falcis has been leaked on the internet.
Several weeks ago, the camp of Falcis released a transcript claiming that Aquino told her that her family would do something terrible to him once he tried to go back to the country.
The recording which heard by thousands of netizens as of now has been uploaded by several youtube channels and Facebook page.
In the recording, it can be heard a lady shouting at Falcis and probably having a breakdown.
What the lady said was the same to the transcript that Falcis revealed to the press.
It can also be heard Falcis begging to the lady, however, the latter continued her shouting.
The lady also said that when she got her diagnosis in Singapore, she would tell the Philippines about her current condition.
She also bragged that the whole Filipinos trusted her.
This is what the transcript gave by Falcis in PEP.ph on January 4:
NMF: Madam… hello
KCA: “You f***ing *sshole Nicko, okay. NO!”
NMF: Madam…
KCA: “HWAG ka nang bumalik sa Pilipinas, nadinig mo, NO, hwag ka, PAPAP*TAY KA NG PAMILYA KO, you know what, you know what’s wrong with me??? MAY LUPUS AKO, NICKO!!!” (Shouting)
NMF: Oh My God…Madam… Madam… (Crying)
KCA: “That’s why… GUSTO MONG BUMALIK SA PILIPINAS? DARE TO STEP IN THIS COUNTRY, AND YOU WILL BE D**D.” (Shouting).”
The recording got different reactions from the netizens and bloggers who were shocked after they heard the audio.
“Matinding leak ang kinakaharap ni Kris ngayon at nakakaloka ang alleged leaked audio ng kanyang power tripping.” Sass Rogando said in her post.
However, the blogger also warned her followers not to share the leaked recording, explaining that they might violate the Republic Act No. 4200 also known as ‘Anti wiretapping’ law.
Only Aquino and Falcis could verify if the recording is real or not.
A surrendered rebel claimed that several students from the University of the Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) were recruited to join the New People’s Army (NPA), sometimes by using force.
In a media briefing, the rebel, who’s part of the twenty members of NPA surrendered to the government narrated on how the students from UP and PUP were being recruited by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) to revolt.
“Ang mga estudyante na sinasabi nag-aaral sa UP, nakikipamuhay sila sa amin, nagtatanong kung maginhawa ‘yung aming ginagawa o mahirap,” Ka Ruben told the press.
According to him, some students were being sent in Barangay San Antonio, Kalayaan, Laguna to ask them about their current condition there. In exchange, the people there would tell their problems about the government and tried to convince them to join the rebel group.
If the student refused to join, they’re sometimes using force to convince them from not returning to the city and to their families.
“Dinadaan nila sa dahas para matakot ‘yung tao…ginagawa nila takutin hindi binabalik ‘yung ibang tao sa bayan,” he described.
Police Regional Director of CALABARZON C/Supt. Edward Carranza called the community visiting of the students as “immersing” and described it as a voluntary practice to visit poor communities located in remote areas.
“‘Yung word na ginagamit dito is ‘immersing’ whether they will stay there or what, pero it’s not within the curriculum. It’s voluntary on the part of the students and we have already historical data kung sino ‘yung mga member ng CPP who were former students in those universities,” he said.
He also bared the details on how the students being forced to join NPA.
“Nag-iimmerse sila doon then later on, the threat is if they go back dito sa urban area may threat na sinasabi ng NPA na target na kayo ng military,” Carranza said.
PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde also said that ‘immersing’ is part of the recruiting tactics of the NPA.
“Ito ‘yung mga sinasabi na ‘immersion’ na kunwari si ganito pupunta doon. Tapos malalason na ‘yung pag-iisip tapos tatakutin na hindi pwedeng bumaba so mapipilitan itong mga estudyante to stay there,” Albayalde said.
Even before, several students of UP and PUP were accused of being aligned with the rebels.
Several days ago, an episode of Raffy Tulfo in Action made the blood pressure of the netizens skyrocket after they featured a Filipina OFW working in Saudi Arabia who’s married and have 5 children committing a forbidden relationship with another guy working at the same country.
The complainant, Charlie Lozada told Raffy Tulfo that his wife, Sheerlyn left him because of another man who’s working as Engineer.
During the episode, Tulfo called Sheerlyn and her boyfriend Edwin Madredio to try to fix the issue.
However, Sheerlyn insisted that she’s gonna chose her current boyfriend than her family that she left in the Philippines.
The situation even became worsen when Edwin challenged them to deport him.
Because of this, Tulfo asked the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy administrator Arnel Ignacio to help them to solve the problem of Charlie.
During the phone call, Ignacio also couldn’t hide his anger over the attitude showed by Sheerlyn and Edwin.
“Hindi na kita babatiin ng magandang hapon sir Raffy, dahil nangigigil ako sa naririnig ko eh,” Ignacio said.
To discipline the two, Ignacio vowed that they’re gonna use all his connections in Saudi Arabia to hunt down Sheerlyn and Edwin.
He also agreed with the suggestion of Tulfo to let the Saudi authorities handle the case of the two.
“Kaya ang mga OFW natin nasisira dahil sa mga kalokohan na yan, maghahamon pa ng deportation? Alam ba nila ang parusa sa asawa na nakikipag relasyon pa sa iba?”
“Ngayon palang tatawag ako doon, ipapahanap ko yang dalawang yan at sa dami ng kaibigan ko doon, hihingan ko ng tulong lahat yon, silang dalawa ang mawawalan ng karapatan.. maghihirap sila,”
In Saudi Arabia, adultery is considered forbidden and they can face harsh punishments.
Former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) and now senatorial candidate Christopher ‘Bong’ Go responded on Senator Leila De Lima after the latter questioned the former’s source of campaign funds.
According to Bong Go, he’s not like De Lima who allegedly using money from illegal activities to use as campaign funds.
“Dati ko na pong nasagot ng ilang beses ang mga paratang n’yo na pawang hindi toto. Pero dahil nandiyan kayo sa loob, baka di niyo nababasa ang mga lumalabas sa balita,” Go said.
“Hindi galing sa mga dr*g lords ang perang ginagamit ko sa pagtulong, hindi katulad ng iba dyan na hindi na nga nakakatulong, nanggugulo at nakikisawsaw pa, pinoprotektahan pa ang mga kriminal. Huwag nyo akong ihalintulad sa inyo,” he added.
He also explained that he’s not the one campaigning for himself and putting the tarpaulins, but his friends and supporters who believed that he can perform well once he becomes a Senator.
Yesterday, De Lima described Go’s alleged early campaigning as a form of ‘epal politics.’
“Bong Go is everywhere, inescapable in all sizes and all forms. There has been an ongoing invasion of public spaces by his tarpaulins and expensive billboards, and on TV, radio, print, and social media, he’s ubiquitous these past months. He has well-oiled electoral machinery. But where does he get the funds?” De Lima said in her letter.
“He does all these even ways before the start of the official campaign period, taking advantage of a gap in our election laws and jurisprudence which tolerates premature campaigning,” she added.
She also questioned why Go was still appearing in the events held by the President despite being already resigned as a special assistant.
“It’s even akin to a usurpation of authority since someone else is supposed to have taken already his previous functions as SAP. But since he continues to act as Duterte’s super alalay, it is safe to presume that public funds are also expended while he is campaigning early… and still assuming the SAP role,” De Lima said.
Former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) head Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa warned the netizens about some individuals that asking for money using his name.
According to some information that we gathered, some people made a fake profile of Dela Rosa’s Facebook account to convince people that he or she is the real General Bato.
The fake profile, according to Bato seems aggressive in asking for donations to some victims. The scammer even convinced them to block the verified social media account of the general.
Bato said that even his close friends blocked him on Facebook after being victimized by the said scammer.
In his post, General Bato said that he’s already looking for the identity of the suspect.
He also warned the suspect that he would personally hang the latter after being caught.
“Warning po sa lahat ng fb friends and supporters ko. Merong fake account na gumagamit ng profile ko at lahat ng posts ko na humihingi ng campaign donations. Meron na pong mga nabiktima. Hindi po ako humihingi ng donations in any form dito sa social media. Huwag po kayo magpapaloko.” General Bato said.
“Pinapahanap ko na po ang suspect….Ikaw na suspect humanda ka kapag nahuli kita ibibitin kitang patiwarik!” he added.
In a comment, Bato also gave an instruction to his friends not to believe anyone who’s asking donations to them.
“Kapag nanghingi ng pera bogus account na yan. Magaling ang scammer kinopya itong page na ito lahat lahat at pinagblock nya ako at lahat ng close friends ko para blind tayo.” he said.
As of writing, Dela Rosa is not yet giving additional information about the scammers.
General Bato is one of the potential winners on the 2019 senatorial elections after getting good rankings on some surveys both traditional and on social media.
Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol slammed Vice President Leni Robredo for accusing the river dredging project he proposed to the President would be prone to corruption.
On January 6, Robredo said on her radio program that she was told before the river dredging project is an easy way to corrupt public funds because it’s hard to find if the project like that is finished or not.
“Iyong pagpalalim ng… Hindi mo nakikita kasi nasa ilalim siya ng tubig,” she said on her “Biserbisyong Leni” show over RMN.
However, Piñol didn’t like the short explanation of Robredo, saying that the Vice President only showed that she’s negative instead of thinking about the many benefits of the river dredging project.
He described the Vice President as narrow-minded for not willing to take the risk for the benefits of the people.
“The dredging of the rivers, I told President Duterte, would open up hundreds of thousands of rich and fertile areas to agriculture with the added benefit of excavating peat soil from the river beds which could be used to enrich the soil in the nearby farms. Vice President Robredo’s reaction, however, left me dumbfounded and wondering what other options should be considered,” Pinol said in his post.
“By giving more weight on the possibility of corruption instead of the benefits that the dredging of the rivers will bring, Vice President Robredo has exposed a narrow-minded perspective of how government should work and operate,” he added.
The Agriculture Secretary also said that the funds in the project would not be corrupted if the people that would handle it are not corrupt people.
“The fear of corruption, however, should not tie our hands and prevent us from taking risks as government servants. If this is the kind of mindset, our officials in government have, we will never be able to do anything or accomplish projects which would benefit our people.” Pinol said.
“So, the rivers should not be dredged because there could be corruption? The only other option is just to allow the floods to destroy crops and lives every year. If that is the mindset, let us just dismantle government so that there will be no corruption at all.” he added.
After several days of being silent about the #PaBoost issue, Kris Aquino finally spoke about the accusations being thrown against her by some Pro-Duterte bloggers.
According to some reports, the #PaBoost issue started when Nicko Falcis, former financial manager of Kris Aquino revealed that he’s giving money to the well-known anti-government blogger Jover Laurio, the owner of Pinoy Ako Blog to promote her articles against several government officials.
The screenshots circulated on the internet showed that Nicko and Laurio spent 18,000 in just one article.
After connecting the dots, several bloggers found that Falcis is using the money of Kris Aquino to fund Jover Laurio’s social media campaigns with an alleged authorization from the host.
In an Instagram reply, Kris Aquino finally admitted that she’s aware of the social media campaigns that she’s funding by the help of Falcis. However, she clarified that she gave several instructions to Falcis not to fund articles against the Marcoses and Dutertes.
“I gave Nicko [Falcis] money to boost, with zero knowledge of my brother when my brother went to Congress to protect him from all trolls,” Kris said, referring to the incident where her brother former President Benigno Aquino III got invited by the Congress to investigate his alleged involvement on the Dengvaxia controversy.
Kris said that former President Noynoy Aquino is not aware of the mentioned social media campaigns and her brother didn’t ever meet her former financial manager.
She also bared the instructions that she gave to Nicko.
“My instructions to Nicko were always clear- kaibigan ko si Bong Go, hindi ko kaaway ang mga Duterte, never attack the Duterte family especially Kitty, wala akong issue sa Marcos children, katuwang ko si Bongbong sa kasal ni toni & paul, law firm ni liza marcos ang nag handle sa nagpapanalo ng annulment ko.” Kris said.
Aquino suspected that the money she gave to Falcis was spent wrongly.
“Now with all the issues – siempre ang hinala ko baka nabulsa din yung pondo.” Kris Aquino said.
She also urged the netizens to stop involving her on the #PaBoost issue.
“Tantanan na ko – I’m also an impossible dreamer, i dream of becoming an Oprah not a Trump,” she said.
Kris Aquino Instagram
Despite the explanation from Kris, several bloggers are not convinced, saying that Laurio wrote and promoted several articles against the Dutertes and Marcoses.
A blogger even pointed out that Kris Aquino’s post proves that even the favorite child of Ninoy Aquino don’t want to criticize the Marcoses on social media despite the fact that their two families have a bitter political rivalry.
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro ‘Teddy’ Locsin Jr. wants the actor Tony Labrusca to be deported after the infamous Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 incident.
Labrusca received criticisms on social media after he reportedly cursed several immigration officials for not giving him balikbayan stamp to extend his stay in the Philippines for more than thirty days.
In a tweet, a certain @mayoroliverdig informed the DFA Chief about the issue being faced by Labrusca who already apologized and admitted that he loses his cool during the said incident.
Unfortunately, Locsin didn’t recognize Labrusca and he even needs to ask some netizens about the identity of the actor.
“He’s an abs-cbn tv and movie actor. recently he had a movie with actress angel aquino entitled Glorious. kahit nindi nyo po kilala yung tao pero nambastos ng immigration officer dapat may panagutan,” Another netizen told Locsin.

Later on, Locsin realized that what the actor who’s a U.S citizen acted rudely during the immigration process, and expressed his willingness to deport the actor.
But another netizen reminded @mayoroliverdig, that Locsin is not the one who handled the Bureau of Immigration.
“Bureau of Immigration is under DOJ not DFA. It used to be a Commission under the office of the President. It was changed to a Bureau of DOJ but they still call the head of the agency as Commissioner.” @tweetmetomcat said.

“No need to get Philippine Visa for a US Citizen. It is the Bureau of Immigration that look into the behavior of the foreigners staying in the country. Hence they can revoke the visa granted by our Embassies & Consulates for whatever reason. Visa is a privilege, not a right.” he added.

Meanwhile, Bureau of Immigration released a statement saying that they have the right to blacklist people like Labrusca and forbid him to visit the country.
“While our immigration officers have been instructed to observe maximum tolerance, it is against the law to disrespect immigration authorities, and violating aliens may be excluded and blacklisted from the Philippines,” Immigration Spokesperson Dana Krizia Sandoval said.
“Showing disrespect to symbols of authority is essentially showing disrespect to the country,” she added.
Tony Labrusca is receiving criticisms on social media now after being reportedly cursed immigration officers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 this week.
Labrusca, a U.S Citizen who became famous because of the movie ‘inglorious’ received criticisms not only from netizens but also from his colleague in show business like Gladys ‘Chuchay’ Guevarra who even witnessed the ‘pa-VIP’ attitude of the actor.
One of the criticisms received by Labrusca on social media
In her post, Guevarra narrated her first impression when she met Labrusca in a Christmas Party held in a big hotel in Pasay, City, saying that even the said event was full of celebrities, only the controversial actor catches her attention.
According to her, she saw Labrusca being surrounded by many security personnel and one of them even tried to sway Guevarra from the actor.
Because of the incident, Guevarra asked her friend about Labrusca; she even raised her voice so the actor who’s passing by can hear her questions.
She even claimed that no one from the audience was hype when the event host announced the arrival of Labrusca.
Guevarra also suspected that Labrusca tried to cut in the line of the celebrities who’s going to perform during that night.
In the last part of her post, Guevarra told Labrusca that he’s arrogant for always acting like a VIP.
She also reminded the actor the Filipinos are following the laws of the countries that they’re visiting, so he must also follow the rules in the Philippines.

“Ayaaaaan! Kaway kaway po sa mga Security ng Okada na nag secure sa mga artista last time na may malaking Christmas Party ng company dyan at invited din ako. Share ko lang tong nakakatawang storyang ito. Maraming artista ang imbitado, Kasama sina Jolina Magdangal, Derek Ramsay, Calla Lilly, TNT Boys, JM De Guzman, Barbie Imperial, Mr. Robin Padilla, Hallal. Bago ko tapusin ang year na ito, i was invited by this wonderful company to be part of their christmas party celebration. (As in malaking celebration) #ButterfliesBallinOKADA Madami ng naunang artista ang nag perform, but i was there sa Okada earlier sa sinabing call time. Eksena . . . Sinabi ko talaga to out loud . . . Me: “oA, sino yun Chez? Para hawiin ako ng security sa dadaanan nya?” Chez: “di mo kilala yun teh? yung sa Glorious? Tony Labrusca?” Me: (di ulit sa pag-O-OA …) I’M A CELEBRITY!” Wow! Yun lang masasabi ko Tony Labrusca. Ang yabang mo! Kami pag nasa ibang bansa sumusunod kami sa batas ng bansa bilang turista. Grabe, ikaw, nakapag work ka dito ng naka tourist visa ka? Wow! #yunlang”
Labrusca already released a statement, apologizing for his rude behavior towards the immigration officers.
Bureau of Immigration is not yet releasing a statement on the possible punishment for Labrusca.
However, Immigration Spokesperson Dana Krizia Sandoval reminded everyone about the scope of Balikbayan Privilege.
The privilege is for former Filipinos, and their immediate family members who are traveling with them only,” clarified Sandoval. “If these family members are not traveling with the Filipino or former Filipino, they are not qualified for the one-year visa-free privilege,” she added.
