It seems that the megastar already started to promote Vice President Leni Robredo on social media.

On Monday Cuneta shared an article titled ’25 facts you must know about Leni Robredo’ to inform the netizens about the identity of the Vice President.

According to Cuneta, she shared the article to counter the ‘fake news’ being spread against Robredo who’s a possible candidate of the opposition in the 2022 presidential elections.

“Since I have already publicly said that I hope VP Leni Robredo runs for President after President Duterte’s term-and wins-I would like you to get to know some things about her,”

“A lot of fake news has been spread about her and all her good works have NOT been shown to the public,”

“Please keep that in mind. She has done so much and yet not many people know about them. I think that is unfair,”

Some of the facts shared by Sharon about Robredo was her success in the bar exam in 1996 after her second attempt.

The article also shared how Robredo was removed from the cabinet in 2016 and also President Duterte’s decision to oust the Vice President as co-chair of ICAD.

Last month, Cuneta expressed her support to Robredo after the megastar and her family received criticisms from the supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte.

“I don’t know what’s happened to our country. I hope VP Leni runs for president next time, dahil hindi na rin naman makakatakbo si Tatay next time, one term lang diba… napaka disente… Nakakatakot na kasi, ngayon lang ako naka experience ng ganito,” she stated.

“Pagkatapos ng term ni Pangulong Duterte, sana talaga manalo si VP Leni kung tumakbo siya. Baka sakaling bumalik ang pagka disente ng karamihan sa atin,” she added while trying to stop her tears from falling.

Netizens defend Jinkee Pacquiao from Agot Isidro: “Nakatulong ka teh in the level of the Pacquiaos’ help?”

Netizens couldn’t stop themselves from defending Jinkee Pacquiao from Agot Isidro after the actress asked the latter to stop posting her luxury things on her social media page.

One of the netizens who defended Pacquiao from Isidro was Krizette Laureta Chu who called out the actress for calling the people’s champ wife as ‘nouveau’.

Nouveau is a derogatory term used to describe people who only got their wealth within their own generation and not from inheritance.

According to Chu, only people who came from high society has the right to call anyone a nouveau.

She also questioned why Isidro doesn’t criticize Sharon Cuneta who showed her luxury watch to her critics on social media.

“Makasabi ng nouveau, old rich ka teh? Old rich lang ang pwedeng tumawag ng nouveau sa mga nouveau,” said Chu.

“Maka reklamo ng post ng may post, nakatulong ka teh in the level of the Pacquiaos’ help? Maka call out, na call out mo na si Sharon sa “You don’t have Rolex because you’re bad?” Hindi, kasi kakampi nyo,” she added.

In another post, Chu said that they’re going to launch crowdfunding to help Isidro to buy a bike like what Mrs. Pacquiao posted.

“Dear Agot, the Hermes bike is 10k USD. We will crowdfund to buy one for you, isabak mo din sa bugbugan si Florin Hilbay the way nagpabugbog si Manny just so he could afford nice things. Kami na bahala sa 10k USD,” she said.

Isidro on Thursday made a surprising criticism against Pacquiao who posted a photo of her Hermés and Louis Vuitton bicycles.

According to her, Pacquiao should refrain from posting luxuries on social media as many people were suffering in the country right now.

“Alam namin na marami kayong pera. At kung ano ang gusto ninyong gawin sa pera na yun, wala kaming pakialam,” Isidro said.

“Pero marami rin ang walang trabaho at nagkukumahog humanap ng pera para may pakain sa kanilang pamilya. Puede ba, konting sensitivity man lang?” she added.

Jinkee has yet to comment on Isidro’s criticisms.

Nouveau! Agot Isidro slams Jinkee Pacquiao for showing her luxury bikes: “Pwede ba konting sensitivity man lang?”

Actress Agot Isidro slammed Jinkee Pacquiao for showing her wealth amid the situation of the Philippines.

In a tweet, Isidro shared the news about Mrs. Pacquiao’s Instagram post about her luxury bicycles from Hermés and Louis Vuitton.

Isidro then asked Pacquiao to be sensitive to what’s happening in the Philippines and should stop sharing her expensive belongings.

“Alam namin na marami kayong pera. At kung ano ang gusto ninyong gawin sa pera na yun, wala kaming pakialam,” Isidro said.

“Pero marami rin ang walang trabaho at nagkukumahog humanap ng pera para may pakain sa kanilang pamilya. Puede ba, konting sensitivity man lang?” she added.

The actress also used hashtag ‘nouveau’ a derogatory term used to describe people who only got their wealth within their own generation and not from inheritance.

Isidro received criticisms from the netizens who defended Pacquiao.

“There’s nothing wrong about others posting stuff on social media. It depends if someone views it with envy,” netizen @mauiwose said.

“For people who came from poverty and i supposed hindi ka isa sknla coz you uave been (if not rich) well sustained since childhood, kaligayahan na ang magkaron ng ganyan. And she is not even bragging. Gusto nya ipost yan kase maganda sa feed at paningin ng tao,” netizen @rgndlssnts remarked.

“If you cant take it, baka ikaw ang may problema. And for those who were commenting like she has no class, you think commenting like that made u all classy? SMH,” she added.

Aside from her bicycle, Pacquiao also posted a story showing her Rolex Rainbow Daytona worth PHP16.3 million.

Mrs. Pacquiao has yet to comment on the post of Isidro against her.

Isidro is known to be the defender of the poor and even protested when President Rodrigo Duterte belittling the aid being sent by the United States of America to the Philippines.

“Excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na lang. Wag kang mandamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo.” Isidro told Duterte in 2016.

Rep. Eric Yap reveals that someone tries to offer him P200-M to favor ABS-CBN franchise: “Hindi for sale ang prinsipyo at boto ko!”

ACT CIS party-list Representative Eric Go Yap claimed that someone from ABS-CBN wanted to bribe him with a big amount of cash to favor the Kapamilya Network’s franchise.

Yap made the said revelation after some media outlet reported that some lawmakers were trying to pressure other congressmen to vote against ABS-CBN.

He also denied the un-official voting tally circulating on social media, showing the votes of 46 members of the Committee on Legislative Franchises and 46 House leaders or ex-officio members.

“Meron pang listahan na nilabas na boto daw ng mga Kongresista kahit na malinaw na malinaw na wala pang nangyayaring botohan. Why use unverified information? Do not mislead the public,” said Yap.

He then claimed that someone who claimed as ’emissary’ of ABS-CBN offered him P200,000,000 in favor of the franchise.

However, he refused the money, explaining that he’s not for sale.

Yap strongly believes that the ‘press freedom’ in the country is still alive, but there’s few journalists who chose to show their biases without thinking if they’re writing a factual news report.

Meanwhile, former interior secretary Rafael Alunan III urged Yap to reveal the identity of the ’emissary’ from ABS-CBN.

“You’re a congressman. You’re expected to be lawful. Do not hide the identity of the alleged wrongdoer. Otherwise, your declaration is worthless and mere black propaganda,” said Alunan who also supported the franchise of ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN has yet to release a statement on the claims of Yap.

Suspect behind Jang Lucero slay insists that she’s innocent: “Puwedeng katulad lang ng buhok ko or ginaya ‘yong tattoo ko!”

Contrary to the claims of the authorities, the suspect behind Jang Lucero slay, Ann Shiela Montes Belarmino insisted that she’s innocent of the charges against her.

In an interview, Belarmino denied that she admitted her involvement to what happened to Lucero, saying that someone possibly intended to pin her to confuse the investigators on solving the crime.

Authorities showed CCTV footage taken before Lucero’s demise and a woman with the same tattoo as Belarmino was spotted.

However, Belarmino said that the woman might only be trying to imitate her tattoo.

From Ann Shiela Montes Belarmino’s Facebook page

“Hindi po ako ‘yong nasa video. Puwedeng katulad lang ng buhok ko or ginaya ‘yong tattoo ko dahil noong time na ‘yon ay wala ako doon at nakikipag-inuman ako sa ibang lugar,” said Belarmino.

“Alam ko na lalabas din ‘yong totoo. Sisiguraduhin kong ‘di ako ‘yon at alam ko sa sarili kong inosente ako,” she added.

The suspect also admitted that she had a relationship with Lucero’s ex-girlfriend Meyah Amatorio a few months ago, but decided to end it after discovering that the latter was courting the victim again.

“Ako ‘yong nakipag-break kasi nalaman kong nakikipag-ayos pala siya kay Jang nang hindi ko naman alam. Nagkakasama talaga sila. Hindi ko naman alam na sa pagsasama nila, nag-aayos na pala sila, hindi ko po alam kaya nakipaghiwalay po ako,” Belarmino said.

“Nasaktan po ako pero hindi totally kasi hindi ko pa naman siya mahal na mahal eh. Hindi ko naman siya mahal nang sobra eh,” she added.

However, despite the denial of the suspect, the PNP-CALABARZON was confident in the testimony of the witnesses who positively identified Belarmino.

“There are witnesses na nandoon mismo noong sumakay siya at na-identify siya sa CCTV na siya nga si Ann. Another witness na nakakita mismo doon sa crime scene, alighting from the vehicle ng biktima,” PRO IV-A regional director Brigadier General Vic Danao said.

The suspect was caught by the authorities last Monday.

According to Danao, the possible motive of the suspect to end the life of Lucero was because of jealousy.

Mababaw ang utak! Army reservist urges Dingdong Dantes to resign as Navy reservist: “Stop disgracing us!”

A reservist of the Philippine Army urged actor Dingdong Dantes to leave the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) if he’s not in favor of the anti-terrorism policies being pushed by the government.

In an open letter, John Paolo Nartatez introduced himself to Dantes as a reservist who underwent the right process by being a Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) officer during college and finishing military training.

Dantes who’s a navy reservist with a rank of Lieutenant Commander said that the anti-terror bill (ATB) was ‘causing fear’ to the people.

Nartatez said that the statements of Dantes against anti-terror law were disappointing.

“I’m so displeased with your recent pronouncements against the Anti-Terrorism Law. You made an oath to our flag that you will protect our motherland and its people from threats to our sovereignty. I hope you can be man enough to walk your talk and not let yourself be influenced by any political color,” said Nartatez.

The army reservist urged the actor to think about the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to fight terrorism and the people who got victimized by terror groups.

“If you still can’t see the bigger picture, you are dragging the entire Armed Forces with your shallow thinking. You are utterly neglecting your duty to the State by adopting the same mentality as the rebels,” the army reservist told Dantes.

He then lectured Dantes about his role as a reservist, saying that his statements and actions could affect the AFP.

“The enemies don’t rest even in this time of pandemic. The ATL is an instrumental tool into keeping peace and order, not a threat to freedom. I honestly don’t mind your obvious affiliation with a political party as long as your political stand does not get in the way of fulfilling your duties,” he said.

“However, you need to understand that as an individual, your actions will reflect to the AFP. Whenever you speak, you are not only speaking for yourself but for us too. So please, if you really can’t live by the military codes of conduct, do us all a favor. Renounce from the AFP. Stop disgracing us!” he added.

This is not the first time that Dantes has been criticized by a member of AFP.

A retired official of the Philippine Air Force also slammed Dantes for his statement against ATL.

“Bilang isang reservist, as you claim to be. Dapat sumuporta ka sa program ng gobyerno hindi kontrahin ito. It only shows na hilaw pagiging reservists mo at mababaw ang foundation mo bilang Navy Reserve. May spokesperson ang AFP at youre violating the protocol by branding your reserve status at the same time being a civilian, an actor at that. You are well covered by a court-martial kaya shut the hell up.” Captain Ulysses Ignacio told Dantes.

Meanwhile, Dantes introduced a new group of Filipino actors to fight actions against creative freedom and expression in the country.

Belmonte is not the only public official who got infected by COVID-19 in the country.

Even Senators like Migz Zubiri and Sonny Angara didn’t escape the virus.

Dahil daw sa selos! Suspect behind Jang Lucero’s demise was the ex of the victim’s girlfriend

Police arrested one of the suspects behind the death of Jang Lucero.

CALABARZON PNP announced that they already caught Ann Shiela Montes Belarmino, a resident of Antipolo City.

The authorities said that the suspect admitted that she’s the woman captured in the CCTV footage taken after the crime happened.

Belarmino was also identified by the witnesses who saw her in the crime scene.

From Ann Shiela Montes Belarmino’s Facebook page

According to CALABARZON police regional Director PBGen. Vicente Danao, one of the possible motives of the suspect was her jealousy to the victim.

The suspect was also identified as the ex of Jang Lucero’s girlfriend Meyah Amatorio.

“Si Anne ay allegedly may konting selos dun sa biktima. Siya mismo yung sumakay sa saksakyan ng biktima and napaka-importante na na-identify siya dahil siya mismo yung kasama nung mga sumaksak sa biktima,”

The suspect together with the ex-girlfriend of the victim

Danao said that they already gave a chance to the suspects to surrender peacefully but it seems that they ignored it.

“Doon sa kasama na hindi pa nahuhuli, We are on manhunt, Sabi ko nga nung una pa.. I am giving you a chance to peacefully surrender, now ayaw niyo sumurender nung una pa,” Danao said.

“Remember nai-file na namin ang case of murder laban sa naarestong suspek, So now we are on manhunt, Sabi ko nga pag magpang-abot tayo diyan at lumaban kayo sa pulis, Sigurado may PAGLALAGYAN kayo!!!” he added.

Meanwhile, netizens who found the suspect’s social media account saw the latter even mourning to Lucero’s demise.

Last week, Lucero was found lifeless inside her car after she sustained 52 stabbed wounds.

Netizens followed the investigation and some of them even accused the former girlfriend of Lucero, Amatorio as the brain behind the crime.

Pati kakampi tinalo! Lawmaker who pushed for ABS-CBN franchise withdraws his support to Kapamilya Network

A lawmaker who previously pushed for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN decided to withdraw his support to Kapamilya Network on Monday.

Kabayan party-list Rep. Ron Salo during the congressional hearing on ABS-CBN franchise withdrew his authorship of ABS-CBN franchise bill citing a news report from a Kapamilya journalist.

According to Salo, ABS-CBN journalist, Christian Esguerra accused him of “imposing strict regulations to ABS-CBN” in exchange for franchise renewal.

“ABS-CBN’s Christian V. Esguerra reported that the proposed parameters “was the government’s way to control the shattered news network that repeatedly criticized President Rodrigo Duterte.” said Salo.

“Journalism professor Christian Esguerra passed it on as a news article and yet, the first sentence is already based on his biased personal opinion. Okay lang po sana kung ang sinulat ni Ginoong Esguerra ay isang opinyon o editorial at hindi news article,” he added.

Salo then continued on criticizing Esguerra for having difficulty avoiding writing opinionated news reports.

“Mr. Esguerra’s inability to be impartial is perhaps the primary reason for his fierce objection to my proposed measure. He had difficulty separating facts from opinion. For indeed, news has to be about facts. And if one has to report an opinion, then there must be proper attribution. But it’s a cardinal sin for journalists to pass his opinions as facts,” he said.

The lawmaker also cited that ABS-CBN failed to defend themselves from the accusations of the critics of the Kapamilya Network.

“Sa pagtatasa namin, ang mga nailatag na ebidensiya ay mas pumapabor sa mga hindi pumapayag na mabigyang muli ng bagong prangkisa ang ABS-CBN. My partylist deems that ABS-CBN failed to successfully rebut the long list of alleged violations and thus, this representation cannot anymore support the grant of a new franchise to ABS-CBN,” he stated.

“Dahil dito, hindi na kayang suportahan ng Kabayan Party-List ang pagbibigay ng bagong prangkisa sa ABS-CBN. I am respectfully manifesting to this honorable committee my withdrawal of my authorship of House Bill No. 6901,” he added.

Salo insisted that most of his proposal was already present in the expired franchise of ABS-CBN.
