American-Vietnamese influencer Jennifer Ngo received criticism from the Asian community after she released a vlog while she was trying to eat cooked chicken feet.

The video showed Ngo attempting to eat a chicken feet dim sum and could be seen showing distaste saying that she was ‘scared’ to eat it.

In the end, Ngo failed to even taste the delicious meal which made the Asian community upset because eating chicken feet was part of her culture.

Most of the netizens including Filipino social media users called out Ngo, saying that she’s not even beautiful to be demanding.

However, without the knowledge of most netizens, the influencer was suffering from a condition that changed her appearance and even affected her daily life.

According to a report from Mic.com, Ngo had acute scoliosis, Goldenhar syndrome, and only one lung.

She was also required to undergo an operation during her high school year because the condition of her spine was affected her already.

Some netizens who were already aware of Ngo’s condition felt sorry for criticizing the influencer saying that they were not aware of her disability.

As of writing, Ngo has yet to give a statement about the criticisms she was receiving from the netizens.

 

 

Teacher expressed ‘dismay’ for the treatment he received from students: “Sana disiplinahin niyo ang mga anak nyo”

A teacher couldn’t hide his dismay over the treatment being received by his colleagues from the students because of a lack of discipline.

In a social media post, teacher Sherwin San Miguel shared a photo of another educator who complained after his photo was posted on social media by his students without any consent.

According to San Miguel, parents should also participate in shaping the attitude of their children so they would learn how to respect their teachers in school.

“Yung nag di-discuss ka. Ginagawa mo ng maayos trabaho mo, tapos biglang may magsasabi sayo na estudyante mo na naka My Day ka na raw at ang dami ng views and react. Iba na talaga mga kabataan ngayon. Ang hirap unawain. Mabait ka naman sa klase nila. Wala kang binabastos o ipinapahiya pero yan pa ang sukli sa akin ng isa sa kanila,”  the teacher said.

San Miguel urged the parents not to pass all the responsibilities to the teachers and also help them.

“Mga magulang sana nakikita niyo to. Kaninang umaga, isa lng ang nagpasa ng assignment na ibinigay ko, isang linggo ang nakalipas. Sa isang section pito lng ang nagpasa. Bakit ganun? Yung sinabi nung teacher sa post “wala kang binabastos at ipinahihiya pero ito ang sukli sakin” ang sakit sakit makabasa nito bilang isang guro! Sana disiplinahin niyo ang mga anak nyo. Pakiusap,” he said.

Meanwhile, several netizens urged lawmakers to lessen the restrictions for teachers so they could become more effective in teaching students about discipline.

It can be recalled that students now were being protected by several regulations that would prevent any teachers from doing disciplinary actions.

“Sa kinauukulan, paki repasuhin ang mga batas na yan… Lumalaking walang disiplina mga bata sa panahon ngayon, samahan pa ng pag kunsinti sa mga bata na kung tutuusin dapat mag simula ang disiplina sa tahanan. Ang paaralan po ay katuwang lamang sa pag disiplina ng mga bata, tulungan po tayo. Kaso tali ang kamay ng mga guro sa pag disiplina sa panahon ngayon… Kung may karapatan kayo, meron din naman po ang mga guro…” a netizen said.

Former presidential daughter Veronica ‘Kitty’ Duterte wrote a touching letter to her mother Honeylet Avancena who celebrated her birthday last February 17.

Kitty who’s rarely posting on her social media page made a letter to her mother, saying that she realized that she was becoming more like a mirror image of Honeylet.

She also called Honeylet as the ‘strongest woman’ she knew.

“Never thought wise and forgiving could exist in the same sentence. I take pride in growing up because as I age, I look more and more like you. everything I want to be. I remember always favoring the angle of my face that has more of your features and it’s still the side I show more on cameras until today.” Kitty said.

“Happy birthday to the strongest woman we know. mira and I are two very proud daughters, always.” she added.

Napuno ng kontrobersiya ang ginawang post ng international singer na si Stephen Speaks tungkol sa pagkakahuli sa kanila ng traffic enforcer dahil sa diumano’y paglabag nila sa batas trapiko.

Sa kanyang post sa social media, ibinahagi ng leader ng banda na si Rockwell Ryan Ripperger na nasa likod ng mga kilalang kanta na ‘Out of my League’ at ‘Passenger Seat’ na nahuli sila nitong Pebrero 17 sa Maynila.

Mabuti na lamang diumano at fan pala niya ang nasabing traffic enforcer kaya naman pumayag na lamang sila nitong paalisin kapalit ng ‘selfie’.

“Our Grab (like uber) driver just got pulled in Manila over for running a red light, and my tour crew bribed him with a selfie with me to let us go. He said he sings Passenger seat at the Karaoke Bar.” ani Ripperger.

“I was like.. I can’t believe that actually worked,” dagdag pa niya.

Matapos ulanin ng batikos sa social media ay nilinaw ni Ripperger na wala naman talaga silang kasalanan at mayroon silang pruweba na hindi lumabag sa batas trapiko ang kanilang driver.

“The kid driving us showed the officer on his dash cam that he was clear of the light, someone stopped in front of him and that’s why he didn’t make it all the way through.. You all need to chill out, we aren’t criminals here. I saved that kid from a traffic ticket he didn’t deserve,” he explained.

The Manila Traffic And Parking Bureau (MTPB) has yet to release a comment on the post of Ripperger who’s currently on a tour in the Philippines.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte gave a P500,000 reward to the eyewitness who provided information to track the driver of a pickup truck who ended the life of a woman in Davao City.

The victim, Ana Mae Talili, 22, passed away on January 26, 2023, while crossing the McArthur Highway.

According to the authorities, the suspect, who was using the vehicle owned by a Vice Mayor, also disregarded the traffic light.

Authorities also identified the suspect as Jester Yucosing, who had already surrendered to them after hiding for several days.

Meanwhile, the former President also rewarded the witness saying that he decided to pledge money to find the suspect because he disliked people trying to escape their liability.

“Galit ako sa babangain mo tapos tatakbuhan mo.. ‘Yang hit and run ayaw ko non,” the former President said.

Duterte who’s also the former mayor of Davao City pledged money to the family of the victim.

Meanwhile, the family of the victim was glad that Yucosing was already behind the bars.

Aj Raval shared that her father former action star Jeric Raval was aware by her mature roles in Vivamax and even watched one of her movies.

During the press conference for her movie ‘Hugas’ Aj said that she was the one who volunteered to show her latest project to Jeric.

Robin Padilla writes open letter to Coco Martin after alleged bad portrayal of Muslims in ‘FPJ Batang Quiapo’

A certain scene in the ABS-CBN program ‘FPJ Batang Quiapo’ raised the eyebrows of the Filipino Muslim community after its alleged bad portrayal of the believers of Islam.

The said scene was shown during the February 14 episode of the show led by actor Coco Martin.

In this particular scene, the character portrayed by Coco was seen running away from the authorities after stealing a necklace in Quiapo and found a safe haven to a residential building occupied by Muslims.

Several Muslim netizens asked their fellow to ‘boycott’ the said program for the alleged bad portrayal of their religion.

Even Sen. Robin Padilla wrote an open letter to Coco to inform the actor about the beliefs of Islam, saying that stealing from others were strictly being forbid by their teachings.

“I wish to make clear that Islam strictly forbids any form of theft, or the consent thereof. Such acts are haram or a major offense.” Padilla said.

He also narrated that after the criticisms he received, Coco went personally to his office to apologize.

After their meeting, Padilla asked the Muslim community to forgive the actor for his mistakes.

“My dear brethren, I assure you that Mr. Coco Martin’e intentions are pure, and I am sure he had no ill intentions toward anyone. He admitted that he has much to learn about Islam. Thus, instead of criticizing his shortcomings, I appeal to you to understand him.” Padilla said.

“For their part, the people behind “Batang Quiapo” have promised to be more sensitive in portraying various sectors of society, especially images of culture, tradition and religion.” he added.

The senator also stated that the said episode of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo was a good opportunity to promote Islam to the public.

“To my Muslim brethren, In sha Allah, may this episode provide us with a golden opportunity to improve awareness of the Islam faith that is rooted in peace, the goodness of God, and goodness to our fellows.” he said.

 

 

 

Victor Consuji shares evidence that Maggie Wilson has no right to receive part of his wealth

Victor Consunji countered the claims of his former partner Maggie Wilson after the latter showed a paper saying that they didn’t have any prenuptial agreement before their wedding.

In a statement, Consunji’s camp released a document to prove that Maggie signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding.

The document was signed by Wilson and Consunji on December 10, 2010, days before their wedding.

 

Consunji then declared that he was now going to enforce their prenuptial agreement after the criticisms being thrown against him by his former partner.

“In fact, her disgraceful actions are the specific reasons I have resolved to enforce the existing Prenuptial Agreement, strictly and without further consideration. ” Consunji said.

It can be remembered that Wilson posted a document to prove that there was no prenup agreement between them to prove that she had a right to the wealth of her former husband.

Prenuptial agreements are contracts written and signed by couples before the wedding to protect their properties if they are ever separated and prevent them from being divided among them. Without this agreement, all the couple’s properties, assets, and finances became conjugal property. They were legally required to divide it according to the law if they decided to end their relationship.

Toni Fowler reacted to the criticisms she was receiving from the netizens due to the contents of her music video.
