Lito Atienza binanatan muli ang Manila Bay white sand project: “Walang kwentang proyekto”

Binanatan muli ni Buhay-partylist Representative Lito Atienza ang proyekto ng Department of Environment and National Resources (DENR) kung saan ay naglalagay sila ng artificial white sand sa Manila Bay.

Sa isang panayam ay tinawag na pag aaksaya ng pera at walang kwenta ni Atienza, na dati ring alkalde ng Maynila at Environment secretary ang nasabing proyekto ng DENR.

“A complete waste of public funds on a worthless project,” ani Atienza.

Ayon sa kanya ay isang malakas na bagyo lang daw ang kinakailangan upang maalis ang mga white sand na inilagay ng DENR.

Gawa ang mga nasabing white sa dinurog na dolomite na galing pa sa probinsiya ng Cebu.

Naniniwala siya na kahit ano pang paglalagay ng white sand sa Manila Bay ay hindi nito mababago ang maduming tubig ng nasabing dagat.

“No amount of pretentious face-lifting can change the fact that Manila Bay’s marine and coastal ecosystems are practically dead – because its waters have been overwhelmed by fecal coliform,” saad ni Atienza.

“Anybody who swims in the bay’s heavily contaminated waters risks exposure to waterborne pathogenic diseases, including viral and bacterial gastroenteritis, hepatitis A, dysentery, typhoid fever and all sorts of infections,” dagdag pa niya.

Sinabi niya pa na kung ang dalawang supplier ng tubig sa Maynila ay hindi pagaganahin ang kanilang mga wastewater treatment facilities ay wala ring mangyayari sa proyekto ng DENR.

Ayon naman sa DENR ay hindi basta basta matatangay ng dagat ang mga nasabing white sand dahil may gagawin silang “engineering intervention” katulad ng geotube na ilalagay upang maprotektahan ang mga buhangin sa pagtaas ng tubig o bagyo.

Nilinaw din ng DENR na hindi P389-M ang ginastos ng gobyerno para sa paglalagay ng white sand kundi P28-M lamang.

“That already covers the price of dolomite sand, transportation cost, taxes, and other fees. That’s the package of the cost including delivery from Cebu to Manila Bay. It’s not 389 million but 28 million,” ayon kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.

Mismong ang kasalukuyang alkalde ng Maynila na si Isko Moreno ay pinagtanggol din ang nasabing proyekto.

“It’s just that your attention or some other individuals’ attention was called when it is white sand. But what if is black sand?” saad ni Moreno.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno captured the attention of the netizens again after his interview with Kapamilya journalist Karen Davila about the issue of Manila Bay rehabilitation.

In the interview, the two talked about the controversy being faced by the said project, including the decision of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to place artificial white sand made of Dolomite in the shores of Manila Bay.

He pointed out that the said project was already started two years ago and its budget was approved by lawmakers.

“So these lawmakers, I understand their feelings. But remember, they are part of the approval of the 2020 budget last year and it was presented to them one way or another,” said Moreno.

“Third, timeless. Eh two years ago pa ito eh. Hindi ito sinimulan nang isang linggo, isang buwan o nung January, this is two years ago,” he added.

Moreno also questioned the attention received by the white sand project.

“It’s just that your attention or some other individuals’ attention was called when it is white sand. But what if is black sand?” Moreno told Davila.

Moreno also said that he trusted the wisdom of the national government.

He even showed the statement of the Department of Health clarifying that the Dolomite being put in Manila Bay is safe for the people.

Moreno was also thankful for helping the Manila City Government on their bringing back the beauty of the nation’s capital.

The said video has gone viral on social media receiving millions of views.

Moreno already defended the said project several times.

Koreans receive criticisms for spitting and destroy the Philippine flag as retaliation

Two Korean nationals were facing criticisms on social media after they recorded themselves while disrespecting the flag of the Philippines.

The said videos have gone viral, several days after the Filipinos launched their #CancelKorea campaign to criticize the Koreans for their remarks against the Philippines.

Several Facebook pages shared the footage of the Korean nationals who drew a Filipino flag then recorded themselves while spitting and tearing it.

Netizens couldn’t stop themselves from criticizing the said Korean nationals and urged the government to ban them from visiting the country.

The feud between Filipinos and Koreans started when a Filipino-American social media star Bella Poarch showed a “Rising Sun Flag of Japan” tattoo to her fans.

Koreans were felt disrespected by Poarch’s tattoo so the social media star quickly covered the Rising Sun symbol.

The Koreans said that they’re remembering how the Japanese Forces captured Korea during World War 2.

The Japanese forces used the Rising Sun Flag before.

Disrespecting the Filipino flag was against the republic act 8491 also known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.

The said law prohibited anyone to “mutilate, deface, defile, trample on or cast contempt or commit any act or omission casting dishonor or ridicule upon the flag or over its surface.”

Violators may face a fine of P5,000 to P20,000 or detention based on the decision of the court.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the South Korean Embassy have yet to comment on the issue.

Meanwhile, several netizens reminded the social media users that Filipinos also did the same in the past.

In 1995, Filipinos also burned the flag of Singapore as a protest against the said country after they hanged OFW Flor Contemplacion.

 

Lalake huling huli sa camera habang “ume-ebs” sa Manila Bay

Hindi naitago ng mga mga miyembro ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang kanilang pagkadismaya matapos nilang maaktuhan ang isang lalake habang ginagawang palikuran ang Manila Bay.

Matatandaan na gumagastos ng milyon milyon ngayon ang gobyerno upang maibalik ang ganda ng Manila Bay, kasama na ang paglalagay nito ng white sand na nagkakahalaga ng P28-M.

Sa isang video ni I.C RON TV ay makikita ang mga miyembro ng DENR kasama ang kanilang Undersecretary na si Benny Antiporda ang pag “ebs” ng isang lalake.

Pinatawag kagad nila ang mga otoridad upang mahuli ang nasabing lalake.

Humingi naman agad ng tawad ang lalake sa kanyang nagawa ngunit hindi parin nito napigilan ang mga otoridad na hulihin siya.

Pinagsabihan ni Antiporda ang nasabing lalake.

“Hirap na hirap kami kalilinis. Tinat*ehan mo? Bawal nga ‘yun eh kahit sa tubig ka tum*e,” ani Antiporda.

Maari pang maharap sa karagdagang kaso ang lalake dahil sa wala itong soot na face mask.

Hindi lang ito ang unang beses na mayroong nahuli dahil sa ginawa nilang palikuran ang Manila Bay.

Noong isang taon lang ay dalawang babae ang nahuli habang dumudumi sa nasabing tourist spot.

Binanatan ni Tim Sawyer ang isang babae na inireklamo siya sa Raffy Tulfo in Action at sinabing may anak sila ng nasabing vlogger.

Ikinuwento ni Winhelyn Romero na nagkaroon sila ng relasyon ni Tim noong 2007 sa isang siyudad sa Mindanao.

Nabuntis diumano ni Tim si Winhelyn, ngunit nawalan daw ng gana ang vlogger sa kanilang relasyon matapos nitong malaman na nag dadalang tao ang nasabing babae.

Pangarap daw diumanong mag artista ni Tim kaya’t hindi pa daw ito handa noon na magkaroon ng pamilya.

Hindi maganda ang naging katapusan ng kanilang relasyon at napilitan si Winhelyn na ipangalan nalang sa kanyang kinakasamang foreigner ang anak nila ni Tim.

Pinabulaanan naman ni Tim ang akusasyon ni Winhelyn at sinabing nakikisali lang daw ang babae sa isyung kinakaharap niya ngayon.

Matatandaan na inakusahan rin si Tim ng kanyang kasalukuyang kinakasama na si China Roces ng pagtatago ng milyon milyong kinikita nito sa kanyang mga videos.

Dinaan din ni Tim sa social media ang kanyang galit kay Winhelyn at sinabing hindi niya kailangan magpa DNA test.

Binura rin ni Tim ang kanyang banat kay Winhelyn at sinabing tatahimik nalang siya sa isyu.

Idadaan niya nalang din daw sa korte ang akusasyon ni Winhelyn sa kanya.

“Regarding doons nangyari sa TULFO, nais ko sanang pasalamatan sila sir RAFFY at ang kanyang staff sa pag bigay sa akin ng oppurtunity para marineg ng tao yung side ko. Sa ngayon nais ko na pong manihimik muna and to take things LEGALLY, gawa ng ayoko ng meron “akong masaktan na ibang tao,” ani Tim.

“Para doon sa bata, Kame nalang po bahala ng aking legal team. pero I will assure you na lahat ng GALAW namen ay PARA SA IKABUBUTI nya. Ayaw ko na po siya isali dito sa kaguluah ko sa social media. Meron o walang DNA TEST, masasabi kong mahal ko itong batang ito,” dagdag pa niya.

Isang linggo na ang nakakaraan na inamin ni Tim na mayroon siyang anak sa Mindanao.

“HINDI KO TINATANGI NA MAY ANAK AKO SA MINDANAO..ALAM NG PAMILYA AT KAIBIGAN KO YAN..KAHIT SI CHINA ALAM NYA ANG ISSUE KO NONG KABATAAN KO,” saad ni Tim.

“ALAM MO PINAGLABAN KO YAN..PERO PINILI MO YUNG LALAKI KAYSA SAKIN KASI MAPERA…E AKO BATA PAKO DIBA,” dagdag pa niya.

Binatikos ng isang grupo ng mga asawa ng sundalo si Patrolman Joebert Lacea na isa ring miyembro ng PNP Special Action Force dahil diumano sa pagiging madaldal nito sa kanyang mga nagiging ka-chat.

Sa isang Facebook post ay hindi naitago ng grupong Legal Army Wives ang kanilang pagkadismaya kay Lacea.

Ayon sa kanila ay hindi dapat ipaalam ng mga sundalo o pulis sa mga ka chat nila ang kanilang mga plano at pupuntahan dahil maaring ikapahamak ito hindi lang niya kundi ng mga kasama niya sa mga misyon.

Ayon din sa kanila ay tila nadamay pa ang mga sundalo sa isyu na kinaharap ni Lacea matapos itong akusahan ng pagiging babaero.

Pinaliwanag nila na ang mga maraming sundalo ang “loyal” sa kanilang mga minamahal.

Humingi naman ng tawad si Lacea sa kanyang nagawa at sinabing hindi niya balak magviral o magpasikat.

Bam Aquino slams President Duterte’s pardon to Joseph Scott Pemberton: “Nasaan ang hustisya?”

Former Senator Bam Aquino slammed the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to grant pardon to US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton.

In a tweet, Aquino criticized the decision of the court against Pemberton and also the pardon granted to him by the President.

According to him, many Filipinos needed the same treatment.

“Nasaan ang hustisya kung ang mga kapwa Pilipino ang nangangailangan nito?”

Pemberton was convicted for ending the life of Filipina transwoman Jennifer Laude in 2014.

The American soldier was put in detention for six years after the Olongapo City Regional Trial Court (RTC) ordered the early release of Pemberton, citing his Good Conduct and Time Allowance (GCTA).

Pemberton also reportedly paid 4.5-M to the family of the victim.

The camp of Laude opposed the decision of the court.

However, President Duterte ended the debate on Pemberton’s release after he granted an absolute pardon to the US Marine.

The decision of the President received criticisms from celebrities and netizens.

Duterte defended his decision, saying that the Philippines didn’t treat Pemberton fairly.

“It is not the fault of Pemberton na hindi na na-compute because we should allow him, the good character presumption kasi wala namang nagreport na Marines na nagsabi na nagwawala siya,” said Duterte.

“So sabi ko kay Justice Secretary, Medialdea, pinatawag ko sila kanina, sabi ko it’s my decision to pardon. Correct me if I’m wrong but ito ang tingin ko sa kaso. We have not treated Pemberton fairly,” he added.

Pemberton is planning to go back to school when he leaves the country.

Former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza lectures DENR over white sand project: “Sayang ang pera”

Buhay Party-list Representative Lito Atienza expressed disappointment over the project of the Department of Environment and National Resources in Manila Bay.

In an interview with One News, Atienza said that the “white sand” being put in Manila Bay would not change the fact that the waters in the said tourist spot were still unsafe for the people.

According to him, DENR is not addressing the problem of Manila Bay directly and wasting the money of the people.

“We are not addressing the problem correctly, lipstick nang lipstick ang ginagawa mo. Pinapaganda mo ang mukha, pero hindi mo naman inaayos ‘yung tunay na sanhi ng problema. Kaya sayang ang pera,” Atienza said.

“Either Sec. Cimatu and Usec. Antiporda, mag swimming kayo diyan. Kapag ka kayo ay nakalulon ng isang kutsarita ng tubig sa Manila Bay, palagay ko matagal kayo sa ospital,” he added.

He even cautioned the people not to eat seashells being caught in Manila Bay.

“Mali ‘yung sinasabi ng DENR na mabubuhay ulit ang mga shell fish dito… Lason pa rin ‘yan. Huwag kayong kakain ng talaba, tahong, at anumang galing sa Manila Bay until all the sewage, ‘yung dumi ng ating mga toilet, ay mapigil na ang pagdaloy diyan,” said Atienza.

On September 8, Atienza blamed the two water concessionaires operating in National Capital Region for making Manila Bay polluted.

He said that the waters of Manila Bay would remain unswimmable as long as the two companies are not cleaning the water.

Atienza became Mayor of Manila City and also Environment Secretary.

Camp of Francis Leo Marcos denies that the social media sensation was found lifeless inside his cell

The camp of Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos (FLM) denied the rumors that the self-proclaimed businessman and philanthropist was found lifeless inside his cell.

The rumors started in some Facebook groups dedicated to support Mangusin who’s currently detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City because of multiple charges.

According to the rumor, the social media sensation was found lifeless because of having a nightmare.

One of the Facebook user who posted the said news even used an edited photo of GMA News to convince more people to believe the rumor.

A certain Eliza Reyes of Francis Leo Marcos Group posted the edited report of GMA News

However, Mangusin’s secretary, Yhama Dela Cruz Tan denied the reports, saying that her boss is still alive.

“TAMA YAN MANGATOG NA KAYO LAHAT KAYONG NAG WALANG HIYA NAGTAPON NG PUTIK SA PAGKATAO NG AMO KO!!!! KARMA IS ON YOUR WAY!!!” said Tan.

She even hinted a legal action against the people spreading false news about Mangusin.

Hundreds of Mangusin followers couldn’t hide their disappointment over the people spreading false news about their idol.

“Mga walang puso halang mga kaluluwa nila. We love you Sir FLM laban mo laban nating lahat. We always support you know matter what,” netizen Dai Sy said.

“Lahat na lang ng PAMEMEKE gagawin nila MAILIHIS lang ang Tunay na may SALA at Pagkakamali nila…sa bawat masamang motibo sa kapwa may kaakibat na consequences!!! Walang Kasamaan ang nagtatagal tandaan nyo yan! Magbabayad ang dapat managot,” netizen Elana Entines commented.

“Dapat Po na trace na rin Ang identity ng mga nagpakalat ng news na yan.Kailangan panagutan nila sa batas ang ganitong kawalanghiyaan.hindi na tama yan.Sobra na ang pambaboy ninyo sa Tao na walang ginawa kung Hindi ang tumulong lamang.Sana Mabigyan Kayo ng Leksyon na Pagsisihan ninyo,” Rin Yokokawa remarked.

Mangusin became popular because of his live videos showing his philanthropic activities.

He even encouraged rich people to be like him and give away their money to the needy.

However, members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) detained him because of multiple charges being linked to him.

Some people even pushed him to run for Presidency in the 2022 election.

Mayor Isko Moreno on Presidency: “Everybody officials dream to be the President”

Mayor Isko Moreno said that every public official are dreaming to become the chief executive of the country.

In an online forum of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines, Moreno answered the question about his plans in the 2022 Presidential Election.

Moreno didn’t answer the question directly, however, he pointed out that every public official dreamed to be the leader of the country.

“There’s no point to lie. I have to be honest. Alam mo lalahatin ko, simula kagawad ng barangay, kagawad ng LGU o konsehal, vice mayor, mayor, governor, congressman, lahat ‘yan gusto maging Presidente,” Moreno said.

“Lahat kami, umamin na tayo pare-pareho, ano ‘yan eh, once na pinasok mo ‘yung public service, iba nga di pa naeelect, naappoint lang gusto ng mag-Presidente… I think it’s quite fair for everybody to dream to be the President,” he added.

However, he pointed out that not everyone who dreamed to become President could achieve it.

Like President Rodrigo Duterte, Moreno believes that only “destiny” could tell if someone deserved to be the President.

“Lahat ng nagplano niyan, natalo. Lalo na ‘yung mga naging atat, natalo rin. Kusang dumadating ‘yan atsaka tao ang nagbibigay diyan,” Moreno stated.

Instead of talking about his future political plans, he said that he’s focused on taking care of Manila City especially amid the current crisis.

“May pandemya ngayon eh. Diba dapat ang focus naming lahat, kung sino man ang nagaasam diyan sa ibabaw, ang focus eh tutukan itong pandemya. Ako I would rather focus on this. For now, let me do my job. I owe it to the people of Manila. I owe them a lot,” Moreno said.

Moreno is one of the possible candidates in the 2022 presidential election.

Even President Duterte praised Moreno’s governance.
