Former Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano went viral on social media after her interview with television host Boy Abunda on March 10.

In the interview, Liza addressed the controversy she faced after releasing her 14-minute-vlog about the treatment she received from her management when she was still a talent of ABS-CBN.

Liza told the TV host that she lost her childhood because of the work she had never dreamed of.

“Hindi ko po pangarap maging artista. I had to be an artista para mapa-aral ko sarili ko, mapa-aral ko mga kapatid ko, para mabuhay ang pamilya ko. I think that’s one thing na hindi alam ng maraming tao.” Liza said.

“I think, they assume na gusto kong maging artista ever since I was a kid—which is not true. It came from necessity. I needed to make money for my family.” she added.

However, in an old video of Liza during her Star Magic audition, she said she wanted to be an actress.

“Bata pa lang ako, gusto kong maging isang actress or model,”

Netizens also reminded Liza about her statement in 2014, where she told her former talent manager Ogie Diaz that she really wanted to become an actress.

However, some fans of the actress defended their idol, saying that Liza’s past statement was considered invalid now.

They also said it was normal for Liza to say she wanted to be an actress because she was auditioning in Star Magic.

“Wala namang mag audition sa Star Magic na sasabihin na ayaw nilang maging artista,” a fan said.

“At the same time, present a new format na mangyayari as agreed [upon] by all the executives,” he added.

The report was originally published on Bilyonaryo.com.

According to the said website, Jalosjos wanted the founding producer of Eat Bulaga, Tony Tuviera, to resign from TAPE to finalize his takeover.

It can be remembered that Arci went viral on social media several times because she decided to change her appearance.

During her online show, Cristy said netizens already compared Arci to Michael Jackson, who also underwent many enhancement processes.

“Alam mo, dati rati, ikinukumpara siya sa namayapang pop icon na si Michael Jackson. Tapos hindi pa rin siya tumigil duon. Lahat yata ng proseso tungkol sa pagpaparetok ay inu-undergo-han niya. Tapos ngayon, para naman daw siyang K-Pop star kasi pagkaputi-puti niya,” Cristy said.

Cristy wondered why Arci changed her appearance despite her natural look was already good-looking.

“Ang ganda naman niya, nagtataka naman ako. Kung nakita mo lang si Arci nung bagito pa lang siya sa GMA-7, maganda siya, bakit kinailangan pa niyang ipabago-bago ang kanyang face value eh ang ganda ganda naman niya.Hindi mo na talaga siya makikilala,” she added.

In 2017, Arci already addressed the criticisms she received for changing her appearance, saying that it’s her right to decide for herself.

Veteran host and columnist Cristy Fermin addressed the father of Liza Soberano, John Castillo Soberano, amid the issues faced by the actress who just recently underwent ‘rebranding.’

It can be recalled that Liza admitted that she lost her childhood because of her career as an actress.

“I didn’t have a childhood, nor did I have the chance to grow and become an adult on my own terms,” said Liza.

“I’ve sacrificed my childhood. I’ve sacrificed my freedom, and I’ve sacrificed my happiness to present Liza Soberano to the world. I think I’ve earned the right to finally be me, to finally be able to do things for me as Hope Soberano,” she also said.

In her online program, Cristy asked John why they let Liza lose her childhood, which the actress complained about in her 14-minute vlog.

According to her, Liza’s father should didn’t let the actress enter showbiz in the first place.

Cristy started to criticize Liza because of her statements about her former management led by talent manager Ogie Diaz.

The columnist called Liza ‘ungrateful’ for talking badly about her former colleagues.

Ex-PBA player Mark Andaya to Rendon Labador: “Malay mo makasama kita sa Batang Quiapo”

Motivational speaker Rendon Labador faced another cast of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo after he criticized the show’s production team and its leading star Coco Martin.

In his vlog, former professional basketball player and Batang Quiapo cast Mark ‘Big Mak’ Andaya gently responded to Labador.

He said that the accusations of Labador against the show’s production team were wrong.

It can be recalled that the motivational speaker criticized the Batang Quiapo team because of some complaints that their businesses were affected by the show’s production.

According to Andaya, they were only closing some portions, but it only lasted for 30-60 minutes.

“Pag nag-te-taping kami, hindi naman kami nakababad sa isang kalye, sa isang daan. Hindi kami humaharang sa gitna at saka bawat eksena mabilis lang. Wala pa sigurong 30 minutes. Siguro maximum one hour bawat eksena. So, hindi kami masyado super nakaka-cause ng traffic.” Andaya said.

“Sana lang, before you accuse people, go to the set and look at the situation kung talagang totoo,” he added.

Andaya even invited Labador to visit the set of Batang Quiapo and personally air his complaint to the production.

“Sana intindihin mo rin. Kung may mga question ka or mga complaints ka, go to the set and kausapin mo yung production namin, kausapin mo yung direktor namin, kausapin mo yung barangay kapitan, kausapin mo yung mga Imam doon para maliwanagan ka kasi bro, maling-mali talaga yang mga sinasabi mo.”

He also urged Labador to show his real attitude because he believed the motivational speaker was only trying to establish an online persona that contradicts his true nature.

“Pakita mo yung totoo mong ugali. Mabait kang tao. Pakita mo sa mga fans mo kung sino talaga si Rendon.” he said.

Andaya then invited Labador to a one-on-one talk raising the possibility for the motivational speaker to appear in the show.

“Minsan magkita tayo, kwentuhan tayo. Gusto mo mag-inuman tayo para medyo, sana maliwanagan ka.. malay mo, makasama kita sa Batang Quiapo, magkaroon ka ng karakter doon. Direk Coco always gives chances and opportunities to people.. See you sa set, Rendon.” he said.

As of writing, Labador has yet to respond to Andaya’s offer.

A netizen in Davao City couldn’t hide her disappointment after discovering that the vendor who sold her fish cheated her.

In a Facebook post, netizen Jes Marie narrated that she bought a Tuna steak at Bankerohan Public Market, and she thought that what she was buying was fresh because of its appearance.

However, when she came home at washed the fish, she discovered that the steak was only colored to look fresh.

The photo shared by Jes to several media outlets shows that the steak was smeared with food coloring to allegedly mislead the buyers and convince them that they were buying fresh seafood.

According to Jess, this was her first time experiencing the said modus.

Jess was convinced that the Tuna was not really fresh because of its smell.

She’s now planning to file a complaint against the vendor who misled her into buying the said fish with food coloring.

Several seafood vendors in the past were already caught making ways to make their spoiled products look fresh.

One of the most popular techniques was placing ‘jobos’ or food coloring on the seafood to make it appear fresh.

The Department of Health (DOH) has already warned consumers before to be careful in buying seafood and look for signs of its freshness.

To ensure that the seafood is fresh, DOH urged the people to smell, touch the fish and look at its gills before buying it.
