Content creator Christian Merck Grey, also known as ‘Makagwapo’ finally made a statement to the claims made by Xander Ford about the P349,000 he allegedly pledged for the baptismal of the latter’s son.
In his post, Christian denied that he made a promise that he would shoulder all the expenses for the baptism of Xander’s child.
According to him, Xander couldn’t afford to spend hundreds of thousands of pesos to throw but still insisted to do it hoping that he would recover the money he spent from the sponsors he invited.
“Ikaw lang ‘yung kilala kong tatay na wala palang pampabinyag tapos kumuha ng napakadaming ninong para masalo ‘yung pampabinyag. Tol hindi kasi ako ganon. Tatay din ako, at ako kaya ko ibigay ang pangangailangan ng anak ko, hindi ko kailangang ipagyabang sa social media kasi hindi mo ako katulad.” Christian said.
“Kapag ako nagpabinyag hindi ko iaasa sa iba, nagpabinyag dahil gusto kong mabinyagan ang anak ko at hindi para kumubra ako sa mga ninong ng mga anak ko. Yung sa binyag ni Marlou, wala talaga akong pinangako don,” he added.
He admitted that he talked to Xander about the christening, but he never made any promise that he would shoulder all its expenses.
Christian said that he already made a statement because the issue was getting bigger already and Xander was already making a public appeal to him.
He also couldn’t believe that the event costs Xander P349,000.
“Hindi naman ako pinanganak kahapon, nakakatawa ka. Saan mo nakuha ‘yung P349,000? Ano kayo nagpakasal? Edi sana sinabi mo sakin para sinagot ko ‘yung kasal niyo,” he said.
Makagwapo then told Xander about the real purpose of Godfathers.
“Kaya ka dapat kumuha ng ninong ay para gabayan ‘yung anak mo, hindi para sa pera,” he said.
