Cristy Fermin, Rommel Chika, and Wendell Alvarez couldn’t stop themselves from giggling while talking about the post made by comedian Pokwang who claimed that her deportation appeal against her former partner Lee O’Brian is ‘for her country’.

During the episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na’ on June 19, 2023, Cristy talked about the decision by Pokwang to ask the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to deport Lee for working in the Philippines despite only having a tourist visa.

While Cristy said that the actions being made by Pokwang were understandable as the comedian was really upset about what happened to her failed relationship, they couldn’t stop laughing at a certain statement made by Pokwang.

“Para sa karapatan ko at ng anak ko, para sa mga kapwa ko babae at para sa bayan ko,” said Pokwang.

Wendell reacted to the statement made by Pokwang, asking the comedian why she’s involving the whole country in her relationship problems.

“Anong kinalaman ko doon? Nagpakasarap ka doon [kay Lee], nagpakasasa ka tapos ngayon idadamay mo kami,” Wendell asked.

They also discussed the possibility that Pokwang also helped Lee to overstay and work in the Philippines, making her as an accessory.

Cristy also criticized Pokwang for filing charges against the netizens who criticized her.

“Alam mo ‘yung binulabog mo ang kuta ng langgam ay lalo kang bubulabugin,” she said.

“Tignan mo ang nangyayari ngayon, lalo siyang bina-bash, na ‘buti iniwan ka na ni Lee O’Brian, ganyan pala ugali mo’,” she added.

Palugi na? Cristy Fermin believes TAPE Inc. will end their contract with GMA: “Masasaid na, pasaid nang pasaid”

Cristy Fermin believed that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) would end its contract with GMA-7.

In their online program, Cristy and her co-hosts, Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, discussed TAPE’s financial stability to maintain the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga after all their original hosts left the show on May 31, 2023.

According to the veteran columnist, TAPE executives’ pride would prevail, but in the end, there’s a possibility that they would end their contract with GMA-7, which was due to expire in 2024.

“Kung pride ang pag-uusapan patatagalin ng mga Jalosjos ‘yan. Hindi pa nila matatanggap ang pagkatalo kung ngayon lang. Hindi nila maisusuko ang kanilang bandila. Ano ba naman ‘yung maglabas pa sila ng mas malaki.” Cristy said.

“Tapos mapapansin mo, mas masasaid na, pasaid nang pasaid baka tatapusin na lang nila ang kontrata sa GMA, palagay ko ganoon na lang ang gagawin,” lahad ng kolumnista.” she added.

Rommel also noticed that while TAPE claims they’re already having financial difficulties, they’re still giving away so many prizes in their rebranded noontime show.

“Ang palutang nila nalulugi sila, eh bakit namimigay sila ngayon ng pera?” Rommel asked.

However, some supporters of TAPE Inc. believed that the executives would save a lot of money maintaining the show because their talent fee budget had been drastically reduced after the resignation of TVJ, who were required to be paid millions of pesos to appear on the show.

It can be recalled that reports about her possible guesting to Eat Bulaga last Saturday together with Isko Moreno circulated on social media.

Only Isko appeared on the show and announced that he would become a regular host of the controversial noontime show.

Several new hosts of Eat Bulaga including Paolo Contis and Buboy Villar received criticisms on social media from the fans of former Dabarkads, telling them that they would never replace the original hosts of the said noontime show.

In his Facebook post, Skusta, who’s Daryl Ruiz in real life, said that while he’s not a perfect partner, he’s confident he would be an excellent father to Bia.

“Wala kang kwentang tatay” Try nyo ibigay.

Skusta made the said post after receiving criticisms on social media on Father’s Day that has been possibly fueled by Zeinab’s post for her current partner.

“happy father’s day din sa partner kong nagpapakatatay para sa akin thankyou @ray1parks,” Zeinab said.

“Sa mundong meron ako sa dami ng dinadala ko hindi pwedeng hindi ako baby minsan at salamat dyos kasi binigyan nya ko ng partner na hindi na papa-sakitin yung ulo ko pagdating sa mga walang kwentang bagay,” she added.

In 2022, Zeinab and Skusta announced their separation.

Toni Fowler calls Rendon Labador as the most ‘plastik’ influencer: “Para lang kumita ka”

Internet celebrity Toni Fowler couldn’t stop herself from calling motivational speaker Rendon Labador two-faced because of his persona on social media.

In an interview with Isko Moreno, Toni said that what Rendon showed on social media was different from his real personality, saying that the motivational speaker was a kind person.

She said that there’s a possibility that Rendon only wanted to gain exposure on social media and he believed that having a villain personality would help him achieve it.

“Para sa akin, hindi ikaw yan. Yung pinapakita mong pangit na ikaw. Plastic ka, pinapakita mo yun para lang kumita ka.” she said.

“Kasi hindi ko siya ganun nakilala, ninang ako ng baby niya. He’s portraying an image na hindi siya for the sake of fame and money, which is a flop and a fail.

“Kilala ko siya as mabait na tao, masyado ka lang talagang nilamon ng sistema. So para sa akin, hindi ikaw ‘yan, ‘yung pinapakita mong pangit na ikaw,” she said.

Rendon then responded to Toni, calling her ‘plastic’.

“Akala mo lang plastic ako kasi gawa ka sa plastic,” Rendon alluding to the enhancements made by Toni.

It can be recalled that Rendon became trending many times on social media because of his controversial statements against popular personalities.

May karibal na ang Eat Bulaga! Title of TVJ’s new show circulates on social media

The new show led by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon on TV5 was considered one of the most awaited shows right now as it might end the domination of Eat Bulaga on noontime ratings.

It can be recalled that the legendary trio, together with other Dabarkads announced their resignation from Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) because of several issues, including unpaid talent fees and the planned removal of production staff.

TVJ then announced their decision to transfer to TV5 and Brightlight Productions to form their new show after leaving GMA Network.

According to some sources, the title of TVJ’s new show is ‘This is Eat’, but some reports also indicate that TVJ might change their title back to Eat Bulaga if ever they win the rights for the branding of the longest-running noontime show.

It was expected that Pauleen Luna, Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Wally Bayola, Ryan Agoncillo, and Allan K would appear on the new show as they decided to leave TAPE with TVJ.

Meanwhile, the current show that was occupying the noontime slot on TV5, It’s Showtime might change their timeslot soon or possibly leave the network to maintain their schedule.

TAPE Inc. executives also vowed to watch the new show by TVJ.

Xander Ford didn’t survive his boxing match with influencer Christian Merck Grey on Battle of the YouTubers.

It can be recalled that Xander and Christian became rivals after the former asked the latter to pay him P349,000.

After several posts, Christian finally followed the demands of Xander, however, the tension still escalated when the two exchanged heated words on social media.

They agreed to settle their issues via a boxing match on Battle of the Youtubers after Merck offered 200,000 pesos to Xander if he ever defeated him, while an additional P200,000 for his talent fee.

However, it seems that Xander would only get P200,000 after only surviving two rounds against Christian.

Xander lost consciousness in the first seven seconds of round two, after receiving a combination from Christian who seems to take the controversial influencer easily.

Some netizens questioned the legitimacy of the match, however, most fans enjoyed seeing Xander learning his lesson.

It can be remembered that Xander was confident that Christian would never make points against him, but what happened was the opposite as the former can be seen having difficulty connecting with the latter.

As of writing, it’s not yet known if there would be a rematch between the two.

It was reported that former Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon gained support from 80% of their former sponsors to put advertising in their new show on TV5.

According to a report made by Bilyonaryo, 80% of advertisers of Eat Bulaga already signed advertising contracts with the upcoming new show of TVJ and their other co-hosts who resigned from TAPE Inc. on May 31, 2023.

“The rest of its advertisers will follow after their pre-booked slots with TAPE have been aired,” the source said.

It can be recalled that TVJ and other Eat Bulaga hosts left TAPE because of several issues, including unpaid talent fees and an alleged decision by its executives to remove some people from the noontime show’s production.

One of the possible advertisers of TVJ’s new show was grocery chain Puregold which already expressed support for the decision made by the legendary trio.

Joey even became emotional after being checked on by the owner of the said company.

As of writing TAPE Inc. has yet to give any response to the decision of some of their sponsors to support TVJ.

It’s still not sure if the deal between TVJ and Eat Bulaga sponsors would affect TAPE Inc. financially and would force them to stop airing their rebranded noontime show.
