Jake Zyrus expressed dismay over the repeated comparison by netizens and relatives to him and Charice Pempengco.

In an interview, Jake was visibly annoyed while giving a statement amid the comparison made by his mother, Raquel Pempengco, between his former self and singer Morisette Amon.

Last month, Mrs Pempengco made a reaction to the performance of Morisette during David Foster’s concert.

“Alam ko ang mga timbre ng boses na hinahanap mo DF (David Foster).. Sinabi ko naman sa inyo noon pa… nag iisa lang ang boses na yan. Kahit kanino mo pa ipakanta yang song mo.. Di mabibigyan ng hustisya,” Raquel said.

“NO GOOSEBUMPS.. NO STANDING OVATION.. Nothing compares…. Nag iisang legendary ng Pilipinas si Charice Pempengco at para sa kaalaman ng lahat. Hindi po si DF ang nagpasikat sa kanya kundi si OPRAH. Nireject nga noon ni DF si Charice. Kaya wag umasa na may isasama pa… Masasaktan lang,” she added.

Jake said that it was already impossible to return to his former voice.

“Anong gusto ninyong mangyari? Bubuhayin si Charice? Paano? Scientifically, wala, e. It’s impossible because I’m already taking, like, hormones because that’s who I am.” Jake said.

“Just shut up and listen to your Charice’s songs in your own f*ck*ng time!” he added.

He also believed that it was really disrespectful for some netizens to compare Charice to other singers.

“You’re literally comparing these singers to the person that doesn’t even exist anymore! Do you guys even think about that?” he stated.

Mrs. Pempengco has yet to respond to the interview of Jake.

Maja Salvador, decides to leave her Dabarkads amid the “uncertainties surrounding Eat Bulaga”

Maja Salvador’s talent agency Crown Artist Management (CAM) announced that the actress and television host would temporarily leave Eat Bulaga amid the internal issues happening with the longest-running noontime show.

In their official statement CAM said that the absence of Maja in Eat Bulaga was only temporary.

The said statement shed more light about the issue surrounding Eat Bulaga executives.

Maja became a Dabarkads on October 2021 and her appearance surprised the netizens.

Before hosting Eat Bulaga, Maja was a long-time talent of ABS-CBN.

Aside from the internal issue happening in the said program, they also cited the upcoming wedding of Salvador as one of the reasons why she’s leaving the show.

“Crown Artist Management would like to announce that with Maja Salvador’s upcoming wedding, and with all the uncertainties surrounding Eat Bulaga, she will be leaving the noontiem show for the time being.” the statement reads.

“Becoming Dabarkads in Eat Bulaga was a dream of Maja that came true one and a half years ago, but for now we have to give it a pause.

“This decision was already communicated to their management, so we’re hoping for your utmost understanding. Maja wishes Eat Bulaga, its hosts and staff all the best!”

As of writing, Eat Bulaga management has yet to give a comment to the decision of Maja.

It can be recalled that the noontime show was rumored to be rebranded by its top officials, however none of them confirmed the reports.

They’re set to hold a press conference on April 15 to clarify all the issues.

The comeback of TV5’s top-rated show Face-to-Face became one of the top discussions on social media this week.

TV5 announced that Face-to-Face would start airing again on May 1, 2023, replacing Tropang LOL.

Some netizens felt sadness that the original host of the reality talk show, Amy Perez, who’s popularly known as ‘Tyang Amy’ would not come back for the said show.

Karla Estrada was set to host the show, and not everyone was happy with it.

However, Amy asked the netizens to support Karla, saying that she was already passing the crown to the latter.

“Mga kapatid, pinapasa ko na ang korona kay Karla Estrada. Queen Mother, go go go, mwah!” Amy said.

It can be recalled that Amy reportedly refused the offer of TV5 to host face-to-face, saying that she’s not yet ready to leave her current network ABS-CBN.

She also said that her co-host, Hans Mortel already passed away, so she might feel sad if she hosted face-to-face again without him.

“Hindi naman ako pinabayaan ng ABS-CBN kaya sobrang thankful ako sa kanila. Wala naman akong exclusive contract but I respect and value the fact na never akong nawalan ng show kaya super thankful ako. Parang happy and contented na ako kung nasaan ako now, so parang I don’t want to shake pa the boat. Nakakahiya.” Amy explained.

 

“And since nagawa ko na ang Face to Face, baka it’s time para iba naman ang gumawa at baka may offer sila na ibang flavor. Saka wala na rin si Hans. Baka hindi ko na makaya without him.” she added.

Some netizens were still hoping that Amy would reconsider the offer because they believed that she was the only one deserving to become the host of the show.

A netizen made an appeal to the netizens asking for their kind hearts to help former action star John Regala.

In a message made by netizen Mayette that has also been shared by SIRBISU Channel, John has been hospitalized because of his health condition, and the actor was facing financial difficulties again.

Actor Edu Manzano said that he would not travel via Cebu Pacific because of the statement of the airline company’s pilot against Leni Robredo.

In his tweets, Manzano questioned the competence of the airline pilot, who made a claim that Robredo allegedly diverted other flights to prioritize the landing of the latter.

The actor questioned if the pilot was sane enough to handle passengers, saying that he would not fly with the airline company until the ‘pilot is grounded’.

“I have to agree! What is his state of mind? I will definitely not fly #CebuPAC until they have addressed the issue.” Manzano said.

In a separate tweet, Manzano said that he would not risk the safety of his family, knowing that their pilot possibly was the one who made criticisms against Robredo.

“More than that you worry about his state of mind. Will never trust my family in his hands,” the actor stated.

Cebu Pacific already made a statement about the issue and apologized for the actions of their pilot.

“Since becoming aware of the social media post by one of our pilots in reference to a flight of Vice President Leni Robredo, I confirm that the pilot has made it clear to us that he had no basis for his claim and was purely speculative and careless on his part,” Cebu Pacific Air Flight Operations Vice President Captain Sam Avila said.

“Cebu Pacific has very strict social media policies covering all of its employees and such a post should not have been published. This is recognized by the said pilot himself. He is currently under disciplinary review in accordance with our Company rules and standards,” they also stated.

Content creator group Tukomi remained silent on the charges filed against them because of their ‘prank’ that almost put their lives at risk.

It can be recalled that Tukomi went viral on social media after they made a prank that captured the attention of an off-duty police officer in Las Pinas City on April 7.

Because of the incident, Police Staff Sergeant Ronnie Conmigo filed charges against the group to stop them from doing the same content and set a lesson for other content creators.

“Para matuldukan na ‘yung maling pagba-vlog, maling content na ginagawa nila. Delikado po sa ating mamamayan [yung ginagawa nila]” Conmigo said.

Conmigo did not reveal the exact charges he filed against the group, but PNP Las Pinas chief Col. Jaime Santos said that members of Tukomi might be put behind bars for what they did.

“Ang Las Pinas police po ay nananawagan sa mga vlogger na please don’t encourage this type of vlog that might influence others, particularly ‘yung mga kabataan,” Santos stated.

Despite the controversy faced by Tukomi, the group still uploaded the prank and just blurred out the face of Conmigo.

People were now waiting for the statement by Tukomi about their plans to counter the charges filed by the police officer.

Duterte reacts on Jim Paredes video: “Matagal nang tumindig, maliit pa gyud,”

One week after Jim Paredes stormed the internet by his private video, President Rodrigo Duterte finally reacted on the issue faced by his known celebrity critic.

In his speech Duterte didn’t mention Paredes name, however, his explanation shows that he’s referring to the former Apo-Hiking Society member private video.

According to him, one cop bravely approached him and showed the video to him which made the President cringe because of the small size of Paredes’ tool.

“May isang hindi naman bakla, nagpakita ng t*t* niya ganun lang kataas. Susmaryosep,” Duterte said.

“Nagpakita sa akin ‘yung pulis na — nandoon sa likod oh. Sabi niya, ‘Sir, nakita mo na ba ito? ‘Yung mukha hindi masyadong ano eh…’ ‘Ano ‘yan?’ Magtingin ako. Matagal nang tumindig, maliit pa gyud,” he added.

According to him, a person should not base a person’s character on his looks, but they must consider his character.

“Ang lalaki is measured by his character. Hindi ‘yang pagwapo na paano ka tapos wala ka namang… Pagwapo-gwapo ka diyan tapos paglabas ng t*t*, maliit pala,” said Duterte.

He also pitied Paredes, saying that if he got the same tool with the OPM artist, he would prefer to cut it in front of an altar.

“Kaya ang una kong sabi dito sa mga — sabi ko, ‘Iyan ‘yan? P***, ang liit naman’. Ako bigyan ng Diyos nang ganun kaliit, putulin ko ‘yan sa harap ng altar. Ha, t*** i** mo, ‘yun lang pala ibinigay mo. Todohin na natin,” he said.

After that Duterte thanked his father for making him ‘highly-equipped’ when he arrived in this world.

A prosecutor gave his thoughts on the warning made by Comedienne Pokwang against some netizens who were defending her former partner Lee O’Brian.

It can be remembered that Pokwang hinted that she would file charges against a netizen who called her ‘bitter’ and defended Lee.

‘Mark’ nagsalita na matapos tawaging ‘kuya’ ng kanyang pinasundong girlfriend sa isang ride-hailing app

Millions of netizens in the Philippines have already watched a video uploaded by a moto-vlogger working with the ride-hailing app JoyRide.

The video was about a man who’s only identified as ‘Mark’ who used the said app to fetch his girlfriend during their scheduled meeting.

“Sige po kuya, bali girlfriend ko ang sasakay. Andiyan na siya sa may andoks nag lalakad na daw siya,” Mark told the rider.

However, the rider who’s tasked to pick up the girlfriend by Mark discovered that the girl was with another man.

The rider chatted with the girl and became more surprised by the latter’s answers, saying that ‘Mark’ was her brother and not her boyfriend.

“Kuya ko yun [si] Mark” the girl told the rider.

After the video reached millions of views, it was already expected that even Mark was aware of it and even made a statement thanking the rider for catching his girlfriend.
