“The act of these foreign nationals is not only disrespectful but also a breach of the national symbol’s dignity. The flag, a revered representation of national identity and sovereignty of the country, deserves utmost respect from all individuals regardless of their nationality. We strongly condemn any act that undermines the values of cultural sensitivity, cooperation and harmony between nations,” ani Gaces.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador reacted to the challenge made by Eat Bulaga host Paolo Contis to his critics.

It can be recalled that Paolo said that netizens who criticized him were only brave because they were behind the keyboard typing negative comments against him.

“To be honest, oo, minsan magugulat ka na, ‘Ano? Wow, saan galing yon? Sa ‘yo ba nangyari?’ But it’s the social media thing.” said Paolo.

“Kasi, hindi sila masasapak sa mukha habang sinasabi nila yon. Subukan nilang sabihin sa harap ko yon kung ano ang mangyayari sa kanila. Kaya tumapang ang mga tao, e. Pero kapag tinanong mo ang ano, zero, zero! Ay, imbento, tigilan ako,”  he added.

Rendon then told Paolo that he was not worth the attention or visiting personally, saying that the latter should become a responsible father first to his three children and send support.

“Walang gustong maki pag s*pakan sa artistang laos at wala ng kapera pera. Advise ko sayo bro, tapangan mo munang mag sustento sa mga anak mo baka pag bigyan kita sa hamon mo.” said the motivational speaker.

As of writing, Paolo has yet to give any response to Rendon, who’s known for criticizing him for not sending financial support to his children.

Anyare? Netizens notice GMA’s extravagant treatment to It’s Showtime compared to Eat Bulaga

While It’s Showtime’s first episode on GMA was described as ‘extravagant’ and star-studded, some netizens noticed the simple celebration made by the other Kapuso program Eat Bulaga.

In a Facebook post, several netizens commented how GMA prepared so much for the first episode of ‘It’s Showtime’ compared to Eat Bulaga, which already being with them for 28 years.

According to them, the opening number made by Vice Ganda during the first episode of ‘It’s Showtime’ on GMA was already lavish.

GMA also guested some of their talents, including Barbie Forteza, on the Kapamilya show.

Netizens also noticed that the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga didn’t receive the preparation made by GMA to ‘It’s Showtime’, including holding a press conference for the longest-running noontime show.

Some observers that GMA Network showed their full support to the Kapamilya program while they were just waiting for Eat Bulaga to give up and cancel their contract.

“Parang mas masaya pa ang GMA sa pagpasok ng It’s Showtime da GTV kesa sa pag support sa bagong Eat Bulaga. Charot!” a netizen said.

“Nagsisi na gma na hinayaan nila kala nila hahayaan nang mga tv network ang tvj kasi daw matanda na yon lng pala hinintay ni mvp kasi alam ni mvp kapasedad nang tvj kaya ngayon dlng noontime show apiktado gma pati mga program nila bumaba sa sponsors nga lang unang araw pala 18 big sponsors agad agad kayo jan tape bulaga mron paba kayo naiwan jan,” netizen Virgo commented.

However, despite the preparation made by GMA Network, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon have proven that they’re still kings of the noontime.

While E.A.T’s first episode was simpler than It’s Showtime, the noontime show made by TVJ Production still led the rating competition on July 1.

Radio DJ and actress Karen Bordabor expressed her support to Awra Briguela after the latter was put behind the bars after being involved in a heated confrontation last Thursday night.

In a series of tweets, Karen who’s also put under the custody of the authorities in 2016 said that she knew how difficult the situation of Awra was, saying that she also experienced the same thing.

She even said that the authorities should drop the charges against Awra immediately.

“Good for AWRA her friends are speaking up for her as she defended them. Walang iwanan dapat and it’s good they gave the public their story. Someone who’s locked up can never defend themselves from public judgement! Uniformed men should dismiss their case!!!!”Karen said.

However, she changed her tune, saying that people should not assume the real story behind the incident.

E.A.T ng ‘Legit Dabarkads’ tinambakan ang It’s Showtime at Eat Bulaga sa noontime show ratings

As expected, the new noontime show of former Eat Bulaga hosts on TV5 led the rating contest on July 1, 2023.

According to the data released by Nielsen, NUTAM Overnights Data, TVJ’s E.A.T gained an 8.4% average program rating and also reached 11.86% during its peak minute.

It also reached an 8.2-M audience during its almost 3 hours of airing yesterday.

Meanwhile, E.A.T’s closest competitor, ‘It’s Showtime,’ which recently transferred to GMA Network’s GTV Channel, reached a combined of 3.94% rating.

The former show of the ‘Legit Dabarkads’ Eat Bulaga was the least-watched among the three, getting only a 2.62% rating.

Aside from getting a high rating, E.A.T also broke the record of achieving the highest number of concurrent viewers on social media for a noontime show that was recently held by ‘It;s Showtime’.

Observers already predicted that ‘E.A.T’ would lead the rating contest because of the issues that happened around them in the past several months.

However, they’re more excited about whether E.A.T would maintain the lead over their competitors, especially since TV5 has a fewer television reach than GMA Network, where two of its competitors were airing.

Netizens were also surprised that Eat Bulaga still got a decent rating, despite having two competitors at the same time.

Netizens criticize ‘VIP treatment’ of Awra Briguela for being released despite weekends

Awra Briguela went viral on social media after being involved in a heated confrontation between her and a group of men in Poblacion Makati Thursday night.

The Kapamilya actor was put under the custody of the Makati City Police and was expected to spend the rest of her weekend behind bars while waiting for the opening of the court to post bail.

However, even if the court may closed on Saturday, netizens were surprised after Awra was released on bail.

The actor was accompanied by her family and lawyer while leaving the station.

Awra refused to talk to the media about the charges he was facing.

Meanwhile, netizens criticized the ‘VIP treatment’ given to Awra.

“Woww magic labas kaagad ganun bah kapg sikat palabasin kaagad Saan yong justice dyan ahahahah Atleast Natikman niyang mag himas ng rihas . Nxt time kong iinom magtira sa sarili huwag puro kalandian.” netizen Mahal said.

“Justice system talaga dito satin “BULOK” pag kilala ka kahit Sabado at walang opisina makakapag bail ka pag ordinaryong tao ka lang antay ka ng lunes. So disappointing,” netizen Tess commented.

However, contrary to popular belief, some courts were open on Saturdays.

The same thing happened to Sen. Jinggoy Estrada in 2017 when he posted bail and got released on Saturday.

Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang explained why some people can still post bail even on Saturdays.

She denied that individuals who were successfully released on bail on Saturdays were given special treatment.

“The court maintains a regular skeletal force on Saturdays without fail,” the Justice said.

“There is a justice on duty for the day precisely to act on situations like the posting of bail.” she added.

The camp of the Jalosjos family, who currently owns TAPE Inc., denied that advertisers were now demanding to refund of the money they paid in advance to promote their products on Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that several outlets reported that major sponsors, including ‘Puregold’ already wanted to recover the money they paid to TAPE Inc. after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon left the show.

However, in a statement, TAPE’s lawyer, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque denied the said reports, saying that Puregold respected the contract between them and TAPE.

She also said that the contract was still valid even if the former hosts already left the show, as long as Eat Bulaga was still on air.

Aside from that, the fee which the advertisers paid was already not refundable.

“The contract is between Puregold and TAPE Inc. for Eat Bulaga! show. It is coterminous with the show and not with the hosts. Thus, there is no ground for a refund even if the main hosts left. As long as there is a show ‘Eat Bulaga’ within the wide reach network, GMA Network, the contract between TAPE Inc. and Puregold shall subsist.” the lawyer said.

“These are two big companies which both respect the terms of the contract. It is stated in their contract that the same cannot be cancelled, and the fee is non-refundable,” she added.

To prove that Puregold and TAPE Inc. still had a good relationship, Atty. Abraham-Garduque revealed that the two companies were now planning to put a segment to promote the grocery chain on Eat Bulaga.

It was known that the owner of Puregold, Susan Co, was a close friend of TVJ, and she’s one of the first major sponsors who checked on the three.

Isko Moreno at Paolo Contis, binati ang Tito, Vic and Joey sa Eat Bulaga: “Congratulations sa inyo”

Eat Bulaga hosts Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis greeted E.A.T hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon during their Saturday episode.

According to them, July 1 was a special day, not only for them but also for their competitors and televiewers.

However, Paolo clarified that they’re not planning to have competition with E.A.T and It’s Showtime which also celebrated their first episode on Kapuso Network.

Isko then greeted the legendary trio during the show.

“Tito Sen, Vic, and Joey, and their Dabarkads, congratulations sa inyo. Masaya kami may bago na kayong tahanan. Masaya kami kasi marami nang pagpipilian ang tao. At least, ang noontime show ngayon, para nang buffet, marami ka nang choices.” the former Manila City Mayor stated.

“Taus-puso, sampu ng aming mga kasama, staff, production, the mangement TAPE Inc., we warmly welcome and congratulate Tito, Vic, and Joey. Congratulations po sa inyo!” he also said.

It can be recalled that TVJ, together with their hosts and staff, left Eat Bulaga on May 31, 2023, after having problems with TAPE Inc.

The two also greeted It’s Showtime, calling them as ‘neighbors’.
