Ellen Adarna to people who complain about the entrance fee of Temple of Leah: “Wag ka nalang pumunta”

Actress Ellen Adarna answered back to a netizen who complained about the expensive entrance fee at ‘Temple of Leah’.

The said temple is one of the most-visited tourist spots in Cebu, owned by Ellen’s clan.

In her Instagram story, Ellen said they didn’t build the temple to make it a tourist spot but to pay tribute to her grandmother Leah Albino-Adarna.

However, they decided to open it to the public to make it more attractive to tourists.

According to her, all the things found at the Temple were part of her grandfather’s collection.

Ellen also told the netizens who couldn’t afford the entrance fee not to visit the place anymore.

“The story about the temple ‘dai, it was not built to be a tourist spot. It was built to be a storage for my grandmother’s things,” said Ellen.

“But then the view was nice, and I guess because of the structure, people started going, so the family decided to make it a business na lang.

“If you’re complaining, then just don’t go there. Simple as that.” she added.

Nabati! Eat Bulaga ratings decreases a day after Paolo Contis celebrates the increasing popularity of their show

Eat Bulaga’s rating suffered a big decrease on its rating after Paolo Contis flexed the popularity increase of their noontime show.

It can be recalled that Paolo shared the news about the increase in Eat Bulaga’s rating last Monday, achieving 3.3% compared to 2.6 percent they got on July 1.

“Fight fight fight,” Paolo said in his Instagram story.

On July 4, Eat Bulaga’s rating again increased to 3.9%.

However, on July 5, Nielsen Philippines data showed that the longest-running noontime show faced a 0.6% decrease on rating.

Despite the decrease, Eat Bulaga still had a decent rating, and observers were surprised that the controversial noontime show kept maintaining its popularity despite the issues they’re being faced.

Meanwhile, E.A.T continued to suffer ratings decrease amid the complaint by some netizens who called the show ‘boring’ due to its lack of segments.

Observers are curious if E.A.T would recover its rating this upcoming weekend amid the rumors that the noontime show would introduce new segments on Saturday.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador lectured Sen. Raffy Tulfo for reprimanding Makati City Police Chief P/Col. Edward Cutiyog.

It can be recalled that Tulfo went viral on social media after he criticized the statements made by Cutiyog about the case involving Kapamilya actor Awra Briguela.

Cutiyog gained Tulfo’s disapproval after the chief contributed Awra’s identity to the possible cause of the heated confrontation between the actor and a group of men at Poblacion, Makati.

E alam mo naman, si Awra is gay. Gusto niyang makita ‘yung magandang katawan.” the chief stated.

“Ay hindi , sir. Mali ka dyan, sir. Huwag, sir. Huwag ganoon. Palibhasa gay, gusto makita agad ang katawan ng isang lalaki? Siguro may pinagmulan yung kaguluhan. Paano n’yo po nalaman na nagsasabi ng totoo itong complainant na pinaghuhubad siya ni Awra?” Tulfo said.

In a Facebook comment, Labador said that Tulfo’s treatment of officials was ‘too much’ and advised the senator to tone down his statements.

“Ang mali kasi ay parang pinahiya mo naman agad yung public servant na ginagawa lang naman ang trabaho. Sumusobra nadin kayo minsan! Paalala lang, mag hinay hinay din tayo. #stayMotivated,” said Labador.

It can be recalled that Labador also had a feud with the senator’s brother, Ben Tulfo, but the motivational speaker personally apologized to the journalist.

E.A.T ng TVJ patuloy ang pagbaba ng rating sa gitna ng noontime show competition

While still the most-watched noontime show in the past few days, TV5’s ‘E.A.T’ continues to suffer from decreasing ratings.

According to the data released by Nielsen Philippines on July 5, 2023, E.A.T received a rating of 4.6%, 0.4% lower than previously reported.

It means that E.A.T almost lost half of its popularity after achieving an 8.4% rating on July 1.

Eat Bulaga also experienced a -0.6% decrease in ratings, while It’s Showtime’s popularity increased by 0.4%.

Some observers already expected that E.A.T would experience a decrease in rating as many netizens were already complaining about the show’s lack of segment and content.

TV5 also reportedly had a lesser reach compared to GMA Network, which both aired Eat Bulaga and It’s Showtime on their channels.

It can be recalled that several netizens urged E.A.T to revive their popular segments, including ‘Pinoy Henyo,’ ‘Juan for all, All for Juan’, and ‘Bawal Judgmental.’

Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, the people behind the said noontime show, might wait for the decision of the Intellectual Property of the Philippines (IPOPHL) before reviving their segments.

TVJ already vowed to bring their popular segments on E.A.T, but they didn’t give an exact time when they would showcase it.

Lito Lapid suggests to combine ‘Wow Philippines’, ‘Love the Philippines’ and ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’: ‘Para wala nang away’

Sen. Lito Lapid suggested that the Department of Tourism (DOT) should just combine the ‘Love the Philippines’ and ‘I’ts more fun in the Philippines’ slogans to end the argument among the netizens.

In a statement, Lapid said that the two slogans only meant the same thing, so he saw no problem combining them.

He also urged the people to move on and focus on more important things like promoting the country.

“Whatever slogan is used, it is just one message. For me, we must join our hands and pursue a better tourism campaign to attract more foreign and local tourists, which I dubbed as “Wow, It’s More Fun! Love, the Philippines!” said Lapid.

“But levity aside, one thing is clear, everyone is of one mind in working to push for a successful tourism industry that would not only help our economy but would also uplift the lives of many of our countrymen.

“Let us all move on from this matter and work together in making this campaign successful for our country,”

It can be recalled that DOT faced controversy after discovering that some of the footage shown on a video made for the ‘Love the Philippines’ campaign was taken outside the country.

Raffy Tulfo clarifies that he’s not defending Awra Briguela: “Patas po kami dito”

Senator Raffy Tulfo set the record straight that he was not siding with Kapamilya actor Awra Briguela who got involved in a heated confrontation at Poblacion, Makati, last week.

It can be remembered that Tulfo’s statement received mixed reactions from the netizens.

E alam mo naman, si Awra is gay. Gusto niyang makita ‘yung magandang katawan.” the chief stated.

“Ay hindi , sir. Mali ka dyan, sir. Huwag, sir. Huwag ganoon. Palibhasa gay, gusto makita agad ang katawan ng isang lalaki? Siguro may pinagmulan yung kaguluhan. Paano n’yo po nalaman na nagsasabi ng totoo itong complainant na pinaghuhubad siya ni Awra?” Tulfo said.

In an episode of ‘Wanted sa Radyo,’ Tulfo said that he was only trying to lecture Makati City Police Chief P/Col. Edward Cutiyog for stereotyping the LGBTQIA+ community, and he didn’t mean to defend Awra.

He explained that they only interviewed Cutiyog and not the complainant because of lack of time.

“Patas po kami dito eversince,” said Tulfo. “Kapag may mga kasong ipiniprisinta dito na bitin, nagkakaroon kami ng follow-up,”

According to the public official, they made some efforts to get pieces of evidence and listen to both camps who got involved in the heated confrontation.

They also interviewed some of the bar staff where the incident happened.

The manager of the bar said that Awra was the one who forced the complainant to remove his dress.

Some staff also testified that the actor was uncooperative and confrontational that night.

As of writing, Awra has yet to give any statement about the incident involving him.

Joross Gamboa defends Paolo Contis from critics calling him ‘matino’: ‘Sana bigyan kahit third chance man lang’

Joross Gamboa defended his friend Paolo Contis from critics accusing the latter of having a bad attitude.

At a media conference, Joross said that people should give a chance to Paolo to prove himself, saying that his past mistakes don’t define his whole character.

It can be recalled that Paolo became controversial due to his failed relationships with several celebrities, including Lian Paz and LJ Reyes.

The criticisms against the actor also intensified when he admitted that he was not sending child support to his three children.

He also gained criticism from the fans of the original Eat Bulaga hosts after accepting the offer from TAPE Inc. to become one of the replacements of the so-called ‘Dabarkads.’

However, Joross believed that Paolo was not a bad person.

“Matino ‘to si Paolo kumbaga palabiro lang siya and dahil nga ‘yong mga issue it doesn’t mean na masama siyang tao kaya ‘yong mga namba-bash… Ang hirap magsalita eh, pero bilang kaibigan, ako, kilala ko si Pao personally,” Joross said.

“We’re just humans, we make mistake pero ‘wag naman sana tayong i-judge through our mistakes kasi lahat naman tayo may karapatan sa second chance o third chance man lang,” he added.

Paolo said before that he’s not paying attention to his critics, saying they’re only brave behind the keyboard.

He even challenged the netizens to tell their criticisms against him in person.

“Kasi hindi sila masasapak sa mukha habang sinasabi nila ‘yon,” said Paolo. “Subukan nilang sabihin sa harap ko yon kung ano ang mangyayari sa kanila.”

In an interview with Morly Alinio, Keanna said that she couldn’t count the people she ‘tasted’ during her career as an actress, believing that ‘you only live once.’

Here are the lyrics of Revillame’s song.

Babalik muli upang magsama-sama tayo

Babalik muli upang magsama-sama tayo.

Ako’y ganyan sa inyo

Muli ay may liwanag

Muli ay may pag-asa sa bawat Pilipino

Magbibigay-saya

Muli’y naririto at makakasama

After former Eat Bulaga hosts decided to transfer to TV5, several netizens reminisced about the grand launch of the longest-running noontime show on GMA Network in 1995.

It can be recalled that after 28 years, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon announced their departure to Television and Production Exponents Inc. and GMA Network.

Several netizens posted the first episode of Eat Bulaga under GMA, showing how the Kapuso Network warmly welcomed the Dabarkads.

The launch of Eat Bulaga as a Kapuso was held at Araneta Coliseum, and it was described as colourful and very Filipino by some netizens who watched it.

The video shows TVJ and other Eat Bulaga hosts riding a jeepney on their way to Araneta.

The hosts also performed the Eat Bulaga theme song together with many performers.

Netizens who watched the video couldn’t stop themselves from comparing TVJ’s entrance into GMA Network and their first episode on TV5.

Some of them said that GMA’s preparation for the Dabarkads was more fancy and described TVJ’s arrival on TV5 as simpler.

Several reports indicated that TVJ’s launch of their newest noontime show was originally planned to be held at Philippine Arena, a stadium that was thrice the size of Araneta.

However, for unknown reasons, TVJ chose to do their first episode in their small studio.
