Former actress Sabrina M. reveals her secret relationship with Rico Yan: “After Claudine, naging kami”

After 24 years, former actress Sabrina M. revealed her secret relationship with late actor Rico Yan.

During a media conference on July 6, Sabrina said that she and Rico decided to keep their relationship secret because of their different image.

According to her, she had a relationship with Rico when the actor broke up with Claudine Barretto.

“Ang image ni Rico Yan is wholesome. Ako nagpapasexy ako nuon sa movies So kung nagkaissue kaming dalawa, maraming masasabi sa akin. So better kung nagkaroon man kami ng relasyon, itinago na lang namin yun,” the actress said.

She even narrated the challenges she faced while having a relationship with Rico, including the comments from the actor’s fans.

“Napakabait ni Rico Yan. After Claudine, naging kami ni Rico Yan. Matagal kaming nagkarelasyon. Taon. Noong nag-uumpisa na yung tsismis sa akin, dinudurog na agad ako. Rico Yan yan eh? Bakit siya pumatol sa isang sexy star? Bakit siya pumatol sa isang hubadera?” said Sabrina.

“Pero believe ako kay Rico dahil hindi siya mapanghusga. Pinagtatanggol pa niya sa ibang tao. Sinasabi niya kilala ko si Sabrina M, kaya huwag ninyo siyang i-judge,” she added.

Sabrina also insisted that Rico already broke up with Claudine even before they started their relationship.

“Alam po ni Claudine na naging kami. Pero never pa namin pinagusapan po. Wala namang problem kasi noong naging kami, wala na sila ni Claudine. Hindi ko naman inagaw si Rico sa kanya noong sila pala,” she stated.

She said that Claudine and Rico even made a movie, even if they’re already separated.

“Nagkaroon sila ng movie na ‘Got To Believe’ pero wala na sila nun. Kami na nun at alam ko meron na ring iba si Claudine noon,” the actress said.

As of writing, Claudine has yet to give any response to the revelation made by Sabrina.

It can be recalled that Rico passed away in 2002 while on vacation in Palawan.

Sabrina said that she never went to Palawan when she heard the news and only waited for Rico’s body to be transferred to Manila.

She was also present during the burial of Rico and even offered flowers to the actor, while Claudine reportedly kept her distance.

Paolo Contis denied that news that ‘Eat Bulaga’ was set to stop airing on July 29 amid the reports about the noontime show’s lack of sponsors.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Paolo debunked the rumor and even said that they’re preparing to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the show that would be held on the same date.

Paolo refused to elaborate on their surprises this upcoming 44th anniversary of Eat Bulaga.

But he already expected that they were going to receive criticism again from the netizens.

“Malamang maba-bash na naman kami,” the actor said.

Contis also said that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) officials were satisfied with the number of sponsors, the performance of their talents, and their talents so there’s no reason for Eat Bulaga to end.

It can be recalled that veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed the said information, asking TAPE Inc. to clarify the issue.

TAPE Inc. then released a statement saying that there was no truth about the circulating rumors.

“‘Eat Bulaga’ segments are doing great, lalo na yung segment ni Yorme [Isko Moreno] and Buboy [Villar],” Atty. Maggie Garduque of TAPE Inc. said.

“Ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ ay para sa tao at hanggang maraming manonood, ang tumatangkilik, patuloy ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa pagbibigay ng saya at tulong sa mga kababayan natin,” she added.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed that Vice Ganda was the one who helped Awra Briguela to post bail last Saturday after the Kapamilya actor got involved in a heated confrontation at Poblacion, Makati.

In her program ‘Cristy Ferminute’, the columnist said that the one who fetched Awra when he got released was the personal assistant of Ion Perez, the partner of Vice.

It can be recalled that Vice was the talent manager of Awra.

“Yun ang representative ni Vice, ‘yun bali ang pagtulong niya kay Awra,” Cristy’s co-host Rommel Chika said.

“At saka ‘yung pampiyansa na anim na libo,” said Cristy. “Maganda itong ginawa ni Vice Ganda, lumugar siya sa maayos, siya ay manager ni Awra Briguela, hindi niya pinabayaan ang alaga niya.”

“Pinagpiyansa niya at ipinasundo sa assistant ni Ion,” she added.

However, Cristy revealed that Awra didn’t escape the wrath of Vice when they met.

“Nilabhan niya at binanlawan, hindi niya talaga kinunsinte dahil mali naman talaga si Awra. Yun ang maganda kay Vice, lumugar siya sa tama,” said Cristy.

According to the veteran columnist, she would do the same to Awra if she was the talent manager of the actor.

“Hindi talaga tama ‘yung ginawa niya, lalo na doon sa mga alagad ng batas, hindi pinapalakpakan ‘yon,” she said.

Cristy also said that the CCTV footage released to the public was big evidence that Awra was the troublemaker during that day.

 

Jalosjos camp denies that they’re planning to stop airing Eat Bulaga on July 29: ‘Our segments are doing great’

The Jalosjos family’s camp denied that they plan to end Eat Bulaga on July 29 to cut their losses.

In a statement, Atty. Maggie Garduque, the lawyer of TAPE Inc., said that they do not see any reason for the company to close down the longest-running noontime show despite struggling to surpass the ratings of their closest competitor E.A.T last July 1.

However, they’re confident that they will get a higher rating in the future.

“We do not contest that on July 1, mababa ang rating of ‘Eat Bulaga’ because of the anticipation of people on the launch of new shows, but thereafter, makikita na tumataas na ulit ang ratings nito,” said Garduque.

They also believed that Eat Bulaga was performing well despite the controversies and criticisms they were receiving from TVJ fans.

“‘Eat Bulaga’ segments are doing great, lalo na yung segment ni Yorme [Isko Moreno] and Buboy [Villar],” she stated.

They said they would never stop Eat Bulaga as long as people watched it.

“Ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ ay para sa tao at hanggang maraming manonood, ang tumatangkilik, patuloy ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa pagbibigay ng saya at tulong sa mga kababayan natin,” she said.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga’s closure by the end of July.

Fermin, who also disclosed the internal issue between TVJ and Eat Bulaga in March, said that her trusted source told her that TAPE Inc. was allegedly planning to cut down their losses by ending their contract with GMA prematurely.

According to her source, the lack of sponsors was one of the reasons why TAPE Inc. reportedly planned to stop airing Eat Bulaga, as they’re paying millions of pesos to air their show on GMA.

“Negosyante ka. Kunwari alam mo ang pasok at labas ng iyong ROI, di ba ‘yung return of investment. Kapag alam mo na iyong isinusugal mo sa isang negosyo ay hindi compensated ng pumapasok, isasakripisyo mo iyan e. Dun ka sa kumikita. Walang negosyante na nagnegosyo para lang magpatalo,” Cristy said.

“Kapag walang usok, walang apoy kaya kailangan talaga pinaninindigan kung ano ang totoo. Tutal mahilig kayo magpa-interview, linawin n’yo na hindi totoo iyan,” she added.

However, Fermin also believed that the Jalosjos family, who owned TAPE Inc., had a lot of money to spare and was willing to operate at a loss just to protect their pride.

“Dahil kung pride po ang paiikutin at paiiralin, mayaman ang mga Jalosjos. Kayang-kayang sumugal. Kayang-kayang magpakawala ng ilan pang milyones, huwag lang maisangla ang kanilang kahihiyan sa publiko. Pero gaano po katotoo, na hanggang katapusan na lang po ng Hulyo ang inyong programang ito, ang hindi lehitimong Eat Bulaga?” she stated.

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador made comedian Vice Ganda his next target after he made a reaction to Mimiyuuuh’s advice not to date anyone without money.

In his Facebook posts, Rendon reacted to Vice’s statement about his marriage with Ion Perez, insinuating that the latter was only being loved because of his wealth.

“Masayang, masaya ako ngayon… Kung dati happy ako, ngayon joyful. Hindi siya superficial. Mas malalim siya,” Vice said after describing his current relationship with Ion.

“Hulaan ninyo sino taga bayad,” Labador commented.

In another post, Rendon said that Vice and Mimiyuuuh need to prepare their wallet if they want someone to love them.

“Walang mag mamahal sa inyo kung hindi kayo mag babayad,” the motivational speaker stated.

Fans of Vice expressed dismay over Rendon’s comment and for questioning Ion’s love towards the comedian.

Some even asked to ‘de-platform’ Rendon for his statements against Vice.

As of writing, Vice has yet to give any response to Rendon.

Netizens were also surprised that Rendon criticized Vice after the motivational speaker defended the comedian last April.

It can be recalled that Rendon defended Vice after the comedian lectured a fan who tried to grab his hair during a concert in Canada.

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu finally unblocked internet personality Senyora after more than a year.

In her tweet, Kim addressed Senyora on her message, saying that she doesn’t know why the internet persona was included in her blocklist.

She also asked Senyora to watch her latest movie ‘Fit Check’.

“Ayan na @Senyora diko alam bat ka naka block sakin! haha ayan na unblocked na powz! watch ka naman ng #FITCHECK CONFESSIONS OF AN UKAY QUEEN SA @PrimeVideo  #FitCheckOnPrime,” said Kim.

Senyora celebrated the decision made by Kim.

Senyora revealed in 2022 that Kim blocked her on Twitter, allegedly after the internet celebrity asked the actress if she was taking any supplements.

Senyora then made a habit of posting the screengrab from Kim’s Twitter page, showing that she was blocked from the profile of the actress.

Kim already faced issues before because of her confusing statements and became the subject of memes by several netizens, including Senyora.

Paolo Contis revealed that he’s already working to be a better person after facing several controversies because of his failed relationships and lack of child support for his children.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Paolo said that he wanted to fix many things about himself, and being busy due to his Eat Bulaga hosting and several projects helped him to be better.

“Katulad nung sinabi ko before, Tito Boy. Marami akong ayusin sa buhay ko and this is a big leap, ika nga, sa pag-aayos ng buhay ko and this is a big leap, ika nga, sa pag-aayos ng buhay ko, that I am busy,” Paolo said.

It can be recalled that Paolo received criticism on social media because of his issues, but despite being controversial, he’s still considered one of the most in-demand Kapuso artists.

Ellen Adarna told her fans that she never heard about Kapamilya actor Awra Briguela and was not interested in knowing him.

In her Instagram story, Ellen was asked by a netizen about her opinion on the issue involving Awra, who got involved in a heated confrontation that resulted in him being put behind bars.

At first, Ellen seems to misunderstand the question, saying that she does not have any ‘aura’ to go out and do some activities.

“Lately ‘day, sa labas, I think, this month, wala akong aura, wala akong rampa,” said Ellen.

Actress Ara Mina said that she’s ready to shelter former artist Deborah Sun for life if the latter couldn’t afford to find a new home.

In an interview with Timmy Basil, Ara said that the home where Deborah was currently living was her first investment as an artist.

She described the condo as ‘small’ and could only accommodate one person, so she’s not planning to use it in the future.

“Kung hangga’t kaya. Oo, pwede naman na doon lang siya. Kung wala naman siyang matitirhan,” the actress said.

It can be recalled that Deborah revealed in an interview that she’s already been living at Ara’s unit for seven years.

“Talagang siya mismo nag-offer sa akin niyan… Kung tututusin, hindi ko naging barkada, hindi ko kaedad si Ara Mina.” said Deborah. “Pero nung malaman niya ang sitwasyon ng buhay ko, na kami mag-iina, ano siya, tinulungan niya kami. Up to now, nakatira ako sa isang unit niya diyan sa Cubao for seven years.”

Aside from Ara, Aiko Melendez also supported her by providing her basic needs, including medicine.
