Bea Alonzo put David Licauco on a lie-detector test during the 18th episode of the actress’ online show.
During the interview, Bea asked David if he had ever crossed his mind about the possibility of having a relationship with his love team Barbie Forteza.
“Nag cross na ba sa mind mo yung “What if naging kami ni Barbie?” Bea asked.
“No,” David answered.
While David said that he didn’t, the lie detector result showed otherwise.
However, Bea said that David’s feelings were understandable because she experienced the same thing when working with John Lloyd Cruz.
“It’s inevitable like kami ni John Lloyd, we were never together, we were never romantically involved, but of course sometimes naiisip ko ‘yun, na ‘paano nga kaya?’ kasi everyone is telling me na just date him,” said Bea.
David insisted his respect for Barbie’s boyfriend Jak Roberto prevails.
The actor said that he’s happy staying single and enjoying his career.
It can be recalled that Jak became the subject of memes because of his resiliency amid the loveteam of Barbie and David.
Some even called him the ‘master of anti-selos’ for not giving up his relationship with Barbie and not showing any signs of jealousy towards David.

Observers attributed the downward spiral of E.A.T’s ratings to its lack of content, limited coverage, and also to the decreasing interest of the public in the issue between TVJ and TAPE Inc.
Some fans also complained that E.A.T were lacking of segments to make the televiewers entertained during the two-and-a-half-hour running time of the show.
They urged the TVJ productions to revive their own segments, but some experts believed that the trademark issue between them and TAPE Inc. hindered their plans.
Currently, Babala ‘Wag kayong Ganun’, a counterpart of Bawal Judgmental, ‘Da Bar: Dabarkads Eatery’ E.A.T’s own version of Bulagaan and Vortas 5 were the few segments being offered by the noontime show.

In another post, Jack said Rendon should avoid acting highly if facing huge debts.

‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda discussed the possibilities of Bimby Aquino-Yap following the footsteps of her mother, Kris Aquino.
In the July 5 episode of ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, he revealed his meeting with Bimby to discuss the career that the latter wanted to take.
“Doon sa pag-uusap namin, we were trying to explore kung ano ang mga puwedeng mangyari, the possibilities. But it was more of an exploratory meeting,” the host narrated.
If ever Bimby decided to become an artist, it would break the hopes of several fans who wanted the son of basketball player James Yap to become an athlete.
It can be recalled many netizens already speculated that Bimby would follow in the footsteps of his mother, who’s known as the ‘Queen of all Media’ in the Philippines.
It’s not yet known if Bimby would pursue acting, or he would choose to become a television host like his ‘Tito Boy’.
Cristy Fermin believed that Willie Revillame was not capable of belittling the host of Eat Bulaga.
It can be recalled that there were some rumours that Willie allegedly made negative comments against the current hosts of Eat Bulaga to justify his offer for a timeslot sharing between his show Wowowin and TAPE Inc.
Cristy said that while Willie was known for some of his negative attitudes, the television host would never say something bad about other artists behind their backs.
Cristy’s co-host Wendell Alvarez said.
They believed that the rumours against Willie circulated again because of his planned return to television.
As of writing, Revillame has yet to give any answer to the rumors circulating against him.
Atty. Jesus Falcis explained why Television and Production Exponents Inc. was the rightful owner of the ‘Eat Bulaga’ title, not the legendary trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.
In a lengthy explanation, Falcis said that TVJ already made a huge mistake when they didn’t oppose the trademark filing made by TAPE Inc. to register Eat Bulaga under their production company in 2011.
According to him, TVJ might face charges from TAPE Inc. if they insist on using Eat Bulaga for their own show.
Here’s the explanation from the lawyer:
“Ownership of a trademark under PH law belongs to the one that is the first-to-file for its registration. Sec. 122 of the Intellectual Property Law says: “The rights in a mark shall be acquired through registration made validly in accordance with the provisions of this law.”
“Hence, since TAPE Inc. is the registered owner of the name Eat Bulaga since 2011, it is the one that can use the name to the exclusion of others. If TVJ uses the name Eat Bulaga for their own show, they will be committing trademark infringement or an IP violation.
“But wait, si Joey De Leon @AngPoetNyo gumawa or bumuo ng name na Eat Bulaga nuong 1979. Pano yun? Yes. But by allowing TAPE Inc. to register and claim ownership over the name, they will be considered to have consented to transferring the rights over the name. #WowMali.
“TVJ did not oppose the registration since 2011. They had all the time and opportunity to do so but didn’t. They could have filed for registration under their personal names TVJ but they allowed TAPE Inc. to do so because it was the company that was running the show.”
Aside from Eat Bulaga, Falcis also pointed out that several popular segments of Eat Bulaga, including Pinoy Henyo, Juan for all, All for Juan, and Bawal Judgmental, also registered under TAPE Inc.
“Under the Intellectual Property Code and relevant Supreme Court decisions, the exceptions of registration in bad faith or fraud does not seem to apply in the case of TAPE Inc. and TVJ. TVJ was happy for TAPE Inc. to own the rights. When Tony Tuviera was in charge of TAPE.” he said.
“The problem is, like most other celebrities or big people who poorly plan their legal rights, Tony Tuviera is only a minority owner of TAPE. Worse, TVJ didn’t even bother to be owners of the company that was running and owning their show.” he added.
WHO OWNS THE NAME ”EAT BULAGA”?
TAPE Inc. and GMA7 have already aired a new incarnation of #EatBulaga with new hosts such as Paolo Contis and without TVJ – Tito, Vic, and Joey.
On the other hand, TVJ argues that they own the name Eat Bulaga. Sino ang tama?
— Jesus Falcis 🇵🇭 #NoToMaharlikaFund (@jesusfalcis) June 6, 2023
Falcis clarified that he was not siding with TAPE Inc. but he believed that TVJ would face difficulties on trying to get the rights to use the ‘Eat Bulaga’ title.
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other E.A.T hosts possibly got a big fat paycheck when they transferred to TV5.
In her online show ‘Showbiz Now Na,’ Fermin received information from his source about the money shelled out by TV5’s chairman Manny V. Pangilinan as the first payment to the former Eat Bulaga hosts.
According to her, Pangilinan, who’s known for being generous to the talents of TV5, spent around P300-M for the initial salary of TVJ and other E.A.T hosts as part of their fee.
The veteran columnist said that the rumors were not impossible, especially since Pangilinan was even rumored to have spent P2-B pesos for a single celebrity, Sharon Cuneta when the megastar transferred to TV5.
So it’s also possible that Pangilinan invested millions of pesos in TVJ, especially since the ‘Dabarkads’ have already proven themselves as a rating magnet.
Talent manager Wilbert Tolentino couldn’t hide his dismay and took a swipe at the bad attitude of a certain celebrity.
In a Facebook post, Wilbert, who’s known as the manager of Herlene ‘Hipon Girl’ Budol and Madam Inutz, didn’t name the said celebrity, but he hinted that the individual he was referring to received help from him.
Some netizens guessed that Wilbert was taking a swipe against one of his talents.
The so-called ‘marites’ were now waiting for the next posts of Wilbert, who also went viral in 2022 because of his feud with influencer Zeinab Harake.
Wilbert also posted some of the screencaps of his conversation with Zeinab, so the Marites were also waiting to see if the talent manager would also do the same this time.
Is Ruby Rodriguez received an offer to become a Dabarkads again?
In her Instagram post on July 7, Ruby shared her reunion with Jose Manalo, her long-time colleague on Eat Bulaga.
“Look who visited me! My buddy legit dabarkads Jose Manalo. Ruby said.
It can be recalled that Ruby left the Philippines to work in America after resigning from Eat Bulaga in 2021, ending her 29 years of being a co-host of the noontime show.
Ruby kept silent about the reason for her resignation, but some people believed that it was related to the TAPE Inc. management.
“Sila ang tanungin mo,” Ruby told the netizens when she was asked about her reason to resign from Eat Bulaga.
Some Eat Bulaga fans were hoping that Jose would offer Ruby to return to the Philippines and become part of their newest noontime show E.A.T.
“Legit Dabarkads @rodriguezruby & Jose Manalo, sweet take ruby home with you back home in ph, para balik na ang saya in EAT Dabarkads,” netizen @mhiin113 said.
As of writing, Ruby has yet to give a comment if she’s considering returning again as a television host under TVJ Productions.
