Veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez couldn’t hide her happiness after her son Congressman Arjo Atayde married his partner Maine Mendoza.
Sylvia dedicated a message to her daughter-in-law during the reception after the wedding, saying that she would treat her like her own child.
“Thank you for loving Arjo. Thank you so much. Hayaan mo akong mahalin ka bilang tunay na anak. Hindi kita mamahalin bilang daughter-in-law, mamahalin kita Maine bilang tunay na anak,” Sylvia said.
Netizens who watched the video were touched by Sylvia’s message.
They also believed that Maine was lucky to have a kind mother-in-law.

Actress Ellen Adarna admitted that her drinking habit before was the cause of her poor decision-making in the past.
In her Instagram story, Ellen answered a netizen who asked her if she had experienced running amok during her drinking session with friends.
She confirmed that she sometimes became uncontrollable when she drank too much and couldn’t remember the things she did later on.
“Now that I am sober my judgment is clear. I realized that alcohol was really the root of all my poor choices in life,” she said.
It can be recalled that Ellen faced several issues in the past because of her partying and drinking habit.

E.A.T host Tito Sotto insisted that Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. had no right to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Eat Bulaga.
In his tweet, Sotto said that Eat Bulaga was gone when the so-called ‘Legit Dabarkads’ left the show on May 31, 2023.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed an actor who loves collecting underwear from the ladies he met.
In her online program ‘Showbiz Now Na!’ Cristy shared a story about an actor and journalist who were rumored to be collectors of undergarments.
The columnist shared the information while they were talking about the reports rumored response made by Ricci Rivero’s camp against Andrea Brillantes.
It can be recalled that Cristy shared some rumors about Andrea’s undergarments that were allegedly scattered around her ex-boyfriend Ricci Rivero’s condominium unit.
Wendell then said that some men have a habit of storing the undergarments of other women in their homes.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin and her co-hosts, Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, discussed the reported response of Ricci Rivero’s camp to the revelation of Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes against her ex-boyfriend.
Through her online program, Cristy said that Ricci’s camp reportedly claimed that Andrea was also practicing improper manners during her stay at the basketball player’s condominium unit.
Cristy passed the information to her followers, saying that Andrea was dumping her underwear on every corner of Ricci’s home.
“Nagkalat daw po ang naiwanang underwear nitong si Andrea Brillantes sa unit ni Ricci,” said Fermin.
However, Cristy couldn’t stop asking if the pieces of underwear found at Ricci’s unit were only owned by Andrea.

Angelica Panganiban couldn’t hide her disappointment after she discovered that the chicken burger served to her was raw.
In an Instagram post, Angelica publicly called the newly established international fast-food restaurant for their alleged negligence in maintaining their food standards.
In the photo she posted, it can be seen that Angelica already took a bite of the burger before realizing that the chicken was still pinkish, a sign that the meat was undercooked.

An undercooked chicken, when eaten, might cause illness to its consumer.
Unlike beef and fish, chicken meat has a high presence of pathogens, including Salmonella, which might cause upset stomach and infections.
If cooked right, chicken meat was safe to consume.

E.A.T host Tito Sotto made a short tweet a day after Paolo Contis made a statement about being called ‘Fake Bulaga’ by critics.
It can be recalled that Paolo delivered an emotional speech during the closing spiel of Eat Bulaga on July 29 and addressed the accusations from netizens that they’re fake.

Sotto then made a tweet believed to be a response to Paolo’s statement.
“Then why not think of a new name?” Sotto said.
The former senator also said that the longest-running noontime show was not legitimate anymore when they left Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that Sotto, together with his brother, Vic, and Joey de Leon asked the court to stop TAPE Inc. from using the Eat Bulaga title and its artistic elements.
A writer writes an open letter to Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. demanding the company stop using the segment that he allegedly wrote for the show.
In his Facebook post, Jericho Sison Calingal publicly called out TAPE for their continuous use of ‘EB Happy’ segment despite his request.
“2 weeks nyo na pong ginagamit ng sapilitan ang IP ko,” said Calingal. “At dahil po dyan ive already filed a COPYRIGHT REGISTRATION for the said title sa Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines for Entertainment services in the nature of live visual and audio performances, and musical, variety, news and comedy shows.”
“How can i prove that its my IP? I have screenshots,conversations and original scripts to back it up. Pag-isipin nyo po ng ibang title at format ang mga writers nyo. Huwag po sana kayong mapagsamantala. Again MAAYOS po akong nakipagusap sa inyo,” he added.
In another post, Calingal shared the complete story of why he could prove that he had the rights to the said segment.
According to him, he was hired as a writer for Eat Bulaga on July 5, 2023, to create another version of ‘Bulagaan’.
He also created a team of writers to assist him in creating the said segment.
Calingal explained that he only wanted TAPE to stop using the title that he created for the segment.
“Ano po ang issue ko? Pwede naman po nilang ipagpatuloy ang segment basta Ibahin na lang po nila ang title. Kasi ang usapan po namin Jan ay Gagamitin lang ang title na yan pag kami ang magsusulat ng segment every Saturday. ANONG PROOF KO NG USAPAN. SADLY WALA PO ITS ALL VERBAL AGREEMENT PO,” he said.
Calingal also narrated that he felt disrespected when the head writer of Eat Bulaga changed the skit for the segment to lengthen it.
To resolve the issue, Calingal said that they held a meeting with the said head writer, but he made it clear that the Jalosjos brothers were not present during the discussion.
Two days after the incident, he received a message from a top official of TAPE, informing him that the showing of EB Happy would be postponed indefinitely.
However, the following week, Calingal was informed that EB Happy was being aired again without his permission.
“Dumating ang July 22 ng 2:18 ng hapon..tumawag ang isa sa mga co writers ko..at sinabing may EB HAPPY segment daw at kasulukuyan nyang pinapanood. Me and him was hurt. Bakit ako nasaktan? Kasi maayos kaming nag kausap. ang usapan kami ang magsusulat ng content ng segment every saturday. Feeling ko naisahan kami ng writer nila…yung mga writer nila(writer ng games and spiels) nagaabang lang ng idea na maganda tapos pag panget dededmahin,pero pag click I keclaim na lang nila ng walang kaabog abog. Bilang writer at creatives, that hurts,” he said.
“Naalala ko po nung unang airing ng EB HAPPY,Happy at Pumapalakpak ang mga Boss Nag congratulate ang mga Boss dun sa HEADWRITER. Pero kaming mga totoong nakaisip ng content..walang appreciation kahit kunti sa kahit kanino sa kanila. kaya ayun nag pa picture na lang kaming 4 na segment writer with the boss…” he added.
Calingal clarified that he was happy working with TAPE, but he said that his rights must be respected and they should stop using the title of EB Happy without his permission.
As of writing, TAPE Inc. has yet to give response to Calingal’s claims.
