Pura Luka Vega, Amadeus Fernando Pagente in real life was safe to visit Lapu Lapu City, Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan assured.

In an interview, Chan said that he did not want to declare Vega as persona non grata in his city, but he did not recommend the drag queen to perform in their place.

However, he clarified that he was also disappointed with Pura’s performance and he would not allow the drag queen to wear a costume of Christ.

He also said that Lapu-Lapu City is the gateway of Cebu Province so he’s really hesitant to ban the drag queen.

It can be recalled that Pura was declared persona non grata in different provinces in the Philippines including Manila City, Laguna, Bukidnon, General Santos City, Floridablanca in Pampanga, Taboso, Cebu City, Mandaue City, Occidental Mindoro, and Dinagat Islands.

Meanwhile, Pura also challenged other provinces to declare him persona non grata.

“Ito lang masasabi ko… simplehan lang natin ha? Lahat tayo makasalanan. Tama? Hindi tayo perpekto. Tama? Gayunpaman, do unto others what you want others to do unto you. Okay? Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you. Golden rule lang po ‘yun,” said Pura.

“Para sa mga ibang lugar na gustong mag-persona non grata diyan, dagdagan niyo pa! Pakialam ko. Mayroon tayong separation ng church at ng state. ‘Yun lang po. Thank you po!” he added.

Eat Bulaga host Isko Moreno gained the netizens’ attention after talking about a soft drink brand that has been associated with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon for a long time.

On the August 22 episode of the ‘G sa Gedli’ segment of the longest-running noontime show, Isko talked to the contestant about her life.

“May asawa? Nasaan?” Isko asked.

“Ah, umiinom pa ng sofdrinks, yorme,” the contestant said.

“Ano ‘yon’ pepsi?” the host responded.

Isko’s co-host, Buboy Villar couldn’t stop himself from laughing after hearing the reference.

Some netizens assumed that Isko was talking about the ‘Pepsi Paloma’ controversy of TVJ.

It can be recalled that one of E.A.T’s hosts, Joey de Leon took several swipes against Eat Bulaga, including Isko.

The veteran host even mentioned the word ‘tolongges’, a word popularized by Moreno to describe deceivers.

As of writing, Isko has yet to clarify his statement about ‘Pepsi’.

The man who went viral on social media after being involved in an altercation with a cyclist finally surrendered to the authorities.

In a press conference, the suspect who was identified as a retired police officer explained that the public didn’t see the whole incident that caused the confrontation between him and the cyclist.

“Di naman nila nakita ‘yung tunay na pangyayari, ‘yung umpisa… mahirap po ‘yon,” he said.

He even urged the content creators to be responsible with what they were posting because they were only showing one side of the story.

According to him, his family was already affected by the incident.

“Kawawa naman ‘yong mga anak ko, mga kapamilya ko, parang ang sama sama kong tao,” he said.

“Hindi naman mangyayari ‘yon kung hindi talaga ako dumipensa lang,” he added.

Meanwhile, QCPD Chief Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III said that the driver would lose his LTOPF.

The viral incident happened on August 8 and a content creator recorded the incident when the suspect left his car to confront the cyclist.

Atty. Raymond Fortun, who volunteered to represent the cyclist posted a photo of the incident, saying that the suspect was possibly working for the government because of the label pin on his clothes.

The Quezon City Police Department chief warned the government employee to surrender as soon as possible if he did not want to be raided by the SWAT.

In a statement, QCPD District Director P/Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III urged the still unidentified employee to voluntarily visit them together with the weapon he pointed to the cyclist.

Torre said that if the suspect refused to surrender they would be forced to ask for SWAT’s assistance to enforce a search warrant.

“Pakidala at surrender na rin ng baril mo para di na kami mag-search warrant sa bahay mo. Baka kabahan ang SWAT ko, at makalabitan ka pa ng M16,” said Torre.

The suspect was driving a red sedan car with a license plate of ULQ-802.

Atty. Raymond Fortun, the lawyer of the cyclist said that they already identified the suspect and his location.

The incident happened on August 6, but only went viral this week after the cyclist decided to speak up about what happened.

The victim was not planning to file formal charges against the government employee that may possible removed from his current position because of the incident.

KC Concepcion reportedly unfollowed her stepfather Kiko Pangilinan and half-siter Frankie Pangilinan on her social media page.

Some observant netizens noticed that the two Pangilinans were already not included on KC’s following list, a sign that the actress was having problems with her Stepfamily.
