Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador announced that he would close his restaurant and bar after its flop grand opening on March 25, 2023.

It can be recalled that Labador expressed his disappointment after failing to sell tickets for the grand opening of Episode Bar + Kitchen in Pampanga.

According to him, he lost P1.2-M to the said event, claiming that he failed to sell even one ticket.

Because of what happened, Labador decided to close his restaurant temporarily to rewrite his business strategy.

He also blamed the fans of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo leading actor Coco Martin for the failure of his business.

Labador said that the closing of his restaurant was only temporary and he vowed to come back stronger.

“Uulitin ko nalang ang grand opening. Sana masaya lahat ng Coco fans sa ngyari. I will struggle. I will fall down. But I will always rise back up. AND I’LL BE STRONGER THAN BEFORE.” he said.

Labador was also looking for potential investors for his restaurant.

Netizens attributed the failure of Labador’s business because of the criticisms he made against Martin and other well-known personalities.

The motivational speaker was known for giving his frank opinion about public figures.

Some netizens also suspected that Labador really planned to post about the low ticket sales of his restaurant to promote his business.

They’re still not convinced that what happened last Saturday was the real grand opening of his resto bar.

Maja Salvador made a statement amid the rumored rebranding issue of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.

During a press conference held by her talent management Crown Artist Management, she became careful with answering questions about the rumored issue of Eat Bulaga.

She also denied that the executives of Eat Bulaga and Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) were having meetings to discuss the internal issue.

There were also rumors that the current hosts of Eat Bulaga, including Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon would leave the show to create their own program if the issue has not been resolved peacefully.

When asked if she was willing to join her fellow Dabarkads if ever something happened, she quickly answered.

“Yes, yes! Kung ano man po yan,” she said.

“Basta kung ano pong kailangan niyo sa akin at makakapagbigay tayo ng isang libo’t isang tuwa ika nga. Kahit sa moon pa!” she added.

It was reported that Eat Bulaga would have a relaunching on April 17, 2023, however, no part of the noontime show wanted to confirm it.

TAPE Inc. executives were expected to hold a press conference on April 15, 2023, to answer all the issues circulating about Eat Bulaga.

Fans were waiting for the statement, especially from its chairman Romeo Jalosjos and producer Tony Tuviera.

Andrea Brillantes went viral on social media after some members of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK read the card that the Kapamilya actress raised during the concert held at Philippine Arena.

In the said card, Andrea asked her boyfriend Ricci Rivero to be her prom date.

“I just wanna ask Ricci will you go to prom with Andrea?” the card reads.

The said incident captured the attention of several BLACKPINK fans and not all of them had a positive comment about Andrea’s request.

Some of them said that Andrea should stop making the concert about herself.

Andrea’s sister, Aan Gorostiza addressed the criticisms being received by her sister, saying that it’s the actress’s right to be a fangirl.

A mental health advocate and event host received a tremendous amount of criticism on social media after making fun of a beatbox performer.

Linus Van Plata who hosted the ‘Anilag Got Talent’ raised the eyebrows of the netizens after he claimed that no other contestant wanted to use their microphone anymore after being used by the beatbox artist identified as Jerico Flores a.k.a Joker Beat.

“Wala pong gustong gumamit ng mikropono dahil parang napunuan ng kalawayan,” Flores said in jest.

Flores couldn’t hide his dismay toward Plata because of the things the latter said to him.

“Sa lahat po ng nakakakilala sakin, ako po ay mabuting tao. Hindi kopo alam bakit ako pinahiya ng sobra ng host. Hanggang ngayon po di ako makalabas samin sa sobrang hiya. Nawalan po ako ng gana sa lahat. Kahit guest at invite nawala po sakin,” Flores said.

“Actually, isesend sana namin sa DOH ‘eh pero idederecho na namin sa World Health Organization,” he added.

The recorded video of the incident received millions of views and negative comments against Plata because of what he did to Flores.

“This is a very unprofessional act from the host. We feel bad to our fellow pinoy beatboxer that’s just doing and sharing his passion then suddenly being embarrassed after performing at stage by the host of this Festival.” Philippine Beatbox Unity said in their statement.

“Beatboxing is a natural talent that is being used to create drum ideas, sound effects, and making a music out of it. Salute to our brother Joker Beat for sharing our community talent and passion to beatboxing.” they added.

Flores said that he was planning to buy his own microphone in the future so the incident would never happen again.

“Balang araw po makakabili Rin ako sarili kopong microphone, para hindi Napo ako laitin, may awa po ang dyos,” the artist said.

Later on, it was identified that the random photo that got mixed with the album of Kendra was a picture of Awra Briguela.

Awra couldn’t stop from mentioning the said publication.

“Why naman naligaw legs ko dyan? @PhilippineStar HAHAHA,” Awra said.

Some fans of Awra laughed at the mistake of the editor.

Former actress Mystica, known as the ‘split queen’ of Philippine television, couldn’t hide her disappointment towards an individual who allegedly forced her only child, Stanley Villanueva, to pay debts.

It can be recalled that Villaneuva passed away on March 20 after battling several health problems related to the heart and liver.

In her social media post, Mystica mentioned a certain Maria Paolo Hines who allegedly forced Stanley to pay 16,000 after the latter damaged her car.

Mystica believed that what Hines did affect the health of Villaneuva badly.

According to Mystica, Hines kept asking Villanueva about the latter’s condition.

Mystica mourns the passing of her only child Stanley Villanueva, asks financial support to netizens

Controversial actress and internet celebrity Mystica announced the passing of her only child Stanley Villanueva.

In her Facebook post, Mystica said that Stanley fought several medical conditions including enlargement of the heart, Liver Cirrhosis, and Pneumonia.

It can be recalled that Stanley was having the said condition since 2016.

“Sobrang sakit anak!” Mystica said.

Mystica who’s currently in America would attempt to raise funds for the burial of Stanley.

She also asked the netizens for financial support.

The ‘split queen’ of Philippine television hinted that she couldn’t go back to the Philippines to say goodbye to her child personally.

“Those flowers will represent my presence kahit malayo ako sa ’yong burol anak! I’m sure your spirit can see and feel my sorrows and pain of losing you!” Mystica said.

“YOU WERE NOT PERFECT, BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS SERVE AS MY GREATEST INSPIRATION, MY SON!” she added.

Stanley was the one tasked by Mystica to distribute the prize money she was giving to her fans in the Philippines.

However, because of his condition, Stanley stopped assisting her mother.

Motivational speaker Rendon Labador shared his realization after claiming that the opening of his new business in Pampanga turned out to be a flop.

In his post, Labador continued to blame the fans of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo cast Coco Martin for the outcome of Episode Bar + Kitchen.

“Ang assessment ko sa nangyari sa ZERO TICKET SALES sa grand opening concert ng @episodebarandkitchen kagabi ay ito…

“Una: Masyadong madam[da]min ang mga fans ni Coco.Pinersonal ako. Pangalawa: Baka lahat ng fans ni Coco ay palamunin lang, kaya kahit 2,000 Ticket ay hindi ma afford.”

“Ibig sabihin lahat ng fans ni Coco ay walang mga pera. Sabagay mag kakaibang market naman talaga,” he added.

However, Labador still celebrated that his bar was trending on social media despite having no ticket sales.

It can be recalled the motivational speaker who’s known for his criticisms of popular figures said that he lost 1.2-M pesos worth of investment because of the incident.

Netizens attributed the flop of Labador’s business because of the bad publicity he received after criticizing Martin.

Nurse who allegedly made a tweet against Imelda Marcos speaks: “We are taking necessary legal actions”

The Baguio-based nurse who went viral on social media made a public statement denying that she was the one who made a tweet against former First Lady Imelda Marcos that was posted on her social media page.

It can be recalled that Faith Nester Poltic who owned the @NovaVFaith Twitter page allegedly made a tweet giving instructions to the nurses of Marcos to unalive the first lady who’s facing health rumors.

In her Facebook post,  Poltic said that they’re already talking to the camp of Marcos to clarify the issue.

She insisted that her Twitter has been hacked and she was not the one who wrote the said tweet which included medical terms.

“We do apologize to all parties that were affected due to the incident. We do not have any ill will towards Ms. Imelda Marcos and the first family. We have reached out to them through their representatives and are undergoing talks regarding this matter.” Poltic said.

“This whole ordeal has caused undue emotional and spiritual distress to me and my family. We are asking for your prayers as we continue to move forward. Rest assured that we are taking the necessary legal actions to address this issue,” she added.

She also urged the people to respect them and avoid spreading the said tweet.

“We appeal to all of us to be responsible netizen and refrain from engaging with online posts without verifying their veracity.” she said.

As of writing, the camp of Marcos has yet to give a response to the statement of Poltic.
