International relations expert questions ABS-CBN for allowing a 17-year-old Julia Montes to be paired with 30-year-old Coco Martin

An international relations expert questioned why ABS-CBN, one of the biggest television networks in the Philippines allowed a 17-year-old actress to be paired with a 30-year-old man.

In 2012, Coco Martin and Julia Montes formed a loveteam for their teleserye Walang Hanggan.

While only a few thought of the age gap between the two during that time, the latest admission of Coco about his relationship with Julia sparked a discussion if the actor was right to show interest in the actress who was only 13 years old and date her three years after.

According to Sass Rogando Sasot, Coco should not only be the one who receives criticism from netizens but also ABS-CBN for allowing it.

“It was ABS-CBN that formed the Julia-Coco love team when Julia was still a minor and Coco was 13 years older than Julia. Julia was 17 and Coco was 30 at that time. If Coco groomed Julia, so did our laws, so did ABS-CBN as it was the one who partnered a minor to an adult a decade or so older than her.” Sass said.

It can be remembered that Coco described Julia as ‘parang baby’ and ‘masarap alagaan’ while filming the show.

As of writing, ABS-CBN has yet to respond to the post made by Sasot.

A composer made criticisms against Moira dela Torre for allegedly trying to clean her image despite the fault she also made during her relationship with Jason Marvin.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Lolito Go hinted that Moira is a credit grabber and also loved to ask a favor from others.

According to him, he was asked by Moira to write a song for the campaign of Leni Robredo and edited some of the lyrics to claim the credit.

“Kapag sya may kailangan, she would call me, kahit alanganing oras, with matching iyak pa. When she asked me to write a song for Leni, she just edited some of the lyrics and it became hers na. She also asked me to pen the caption for her socmed posts about the song. Pero sa mga press release, she got the credits.” Lolito said.

“When Moira needs you, she will make you feel loved and cared for. Magaling sya mambola. She even asked me kung magkano price ko for ghostwriting for her last year noong nagkakalabuan na sila ni Jason. When I told her my price, tinawaran nya ako for 20k per month. I felt so insulted. But I just kept that to myself. When I finally had enough May last year, I blocked her in FB and Messenger complete with a long breakup letter.” he added.

He even revealed that Jason wrote most of Moira’s songs without taking any credit for it.

However, one of the biggest revelations made by Lolito was the alleged relationship with Moira to another man that also became a reason why the singer wanted to end her relationship with Jason.

“Even before Jason confessed to his sin, Moira already wanted out. Dahil nakahanap na rin sya ng pamalit. Someone who will “dance in the rain” with her and call her “binibini”. I’ll leave it to you to guess sino ang tinutukoy ko.” he said.

Netizens speculated that Lolito was referring to singer Zack Tabudlo.

It can be recalled that Moira and Zack went viral because of a ‘soft reveal’ posted by the latter.

“I can’t lose when I’m with you How can I snooze and miss the moment? You just too important Nobody do body like you do” he said.

He even captioned: “jowa reveal”.

The post already reached 88,000 shares as of writing and gained mixed reactions from the netizens.

As of writing, Moira and Zack have yet to respond to the accusations made by Lolito.

Coco Martin went viral on social media after he admitted that he’s already in a relationship with Julia Montes for 12 years already.

It means that Coco was already with Julia when the actress was still 16 years old.

In another interview, the actor also revealed that he already expressed interest in Julia when he was still 13 years old.

Netizens remembered the first project between the two, Walang Hanggan where Coco who was 30 years old during that time was paired with Julia who was 17 years old.

During an old article published by Pep.ph, Coco admitted that he loved taking care of Julia during those time.

She admitted that Julia was “makulit” and compared her to a baby and because of that, he said that the actress was “masarap alagaan”.

One of their favorite scene during the show was their wedding, wishing that it was true.

“Sabi ko nga, eh, sana totoo, sana totoong nangyayari kasi madadala ka talaga sa eksena, e.” Coco said.

However, netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment toward Coco and even to ABS-CBN for pushing Julia to be paired with a 30-year-old man despite being a teenager during that time.

As of writing, Coco has yet to give any statement to the criticisms he was receiving on social media.

Julia also refused to speak about her decision to date the actor during her teenage years.

Mystica couldn’t hide her disappointment after being informed that his late son, Stanley Villanueva received a subpoena after being charged by a certain individual.

It can be recalled that Stanley passed away on March 20 because of multiple health problems and the actress blamed a certain Maria Paolo Hines for what happened to her son.

The actress claimed that Hines was trying to collect the payment for Stanley’s debt.

Last Thursday, Mystica then posted a court order where it shows Hines filing charges against Stanley.

“As you can see, lahat ng sinabi at nai-post na statements ng anak ko ay TRUE STATEMENTS for PUBLIC AWARENESS because he needed his FREEDOM OF SPEECH to spread the WHOLE TRUTH to defend himself from such FALSE ACCUSATIONS and all his STATEMENTS were all backed-up with EVIDENCES and FACTS.” Mystica said.

“Kilabutan sana siya sa pinaggagawan niya! Gusto pa niyang hukayin at ipakulong yung pumanaw na! Ang lakas niyang mag-ilusyon! Sana bigyan siya ng Diyos ng matinding kaparusahan para mahimasmasan naman ang babaeng ito! Isa pa naman siyang Flight Stewardess.” she added.

Mystica vowed that she would also file countercharges against Hines once she return to the Philippines.

The actress gained support from her followers who knew Stanley as a generous individual.

As of writing, Hines has yet to give any comment on the statement made by Mystica against her.

Rendon Labador makes public apology to Ben Tulfo and netizens: “Marunong po tayong magpakumbaba”

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador made a public apology to journalist Ben Tulfo and comedian Michael V.

In a Facebook post he posted on May 23, 2023, Labador clarified that he never had a feud with Tulfo and that netizens were only misled by false news about Tulfo defending Bitoy.

He also made it clear that he personally visit Tulfo not because he was afraid, but because he wanted to know more about the journalist.

Labador also said that he believed in the credibility of Tulfo, contradicting his earlier statement that he didn’t know anything about Tulfo.

“Hindi ko siya pinuntahan dahil natatakot ako sa kanya, pinuntahan ko siya kasi gusto ko siyang makilala at isa siya sa mga tinitignan ko na feeling ko ay mas makakaintindi sakin. Isa siya sa mga nakikita ko sa Pilipinas na mataas ang kredibilidad, may paninindigan at may isang salita,” he said.

“Sabi ko sa kanya ‘idol gusto ko ‘yung narating mo, nakikita ko ‘yung posisyon mo ngayon na yan ang gusto kong marating’ at isa sa mga pinakagustohan ko kay idol Ben Tulfo ay ‘yung sincerity niya sa pagtulong sa mahihirap,” he added.

According to him, Tulfo treated him like his own son and gave him some advice.

Tulfo told him to tone down his statements because he might be misunderstood by netizens.

He then apologized to the netizens for being affected by his past statements.

However, he couldn’t promise that he would tone down his statements against celebrities that he was criticizing.

“Gusto ko pong humingi ng pasensya sa lahat ng Pilipinong nasaktan at naging emosyonal sa mga nangyari sa social media, hindi ko po ma-assure kay Michael V, kay Coco Martin at sa lahat ng mga celebrities at atleta na nadadamay sa lahat ng mga isyu na sinisita ko sa internet.” he said.

Popular journalist Ben Tulfo shared some of the scenes during the visit of motivational speaker Rendon Labador in his office.

A video posted by Tulfo’s show, BITAG, shows the visit by Labador there, and he and his staff welcomed him without causing any commotion.

According to Tulfo, Labador apologized to him and explained his side.

The journalist who’s known for his tough personality didn’t hesitate to accept the apology of the influencer.

It’s not yet known why Labador decided to apologize to Tulfo who’s known for investigating powerful individuals.

“May puwang po lagi para doon sa mga taong nagkakamali. Kapag nalaman nilang may pagkakamali silang nagawa at lumapit, nagpakumbaba, humingi ng sorry tulad ni Rendon, pinapatawad ko na po,” Tulfo said.

Tulfo vowed never to speak about Labador after he accepted the apology from the influencer.

It can be remembered that Labador challenged Tulfo to put him under the custody of the journalist after the latter asked the motivational speaker to stop criticizing the members of the traditional media.

The issue started when Labador called Tulfo an ‘old man’ and the latter quickly responded by calling him a ‘woman’.

“Sabi ko ipahuli niya na ako? Mahirap din yung puro satsat,” said Labador. “Ako na mismo pupunta, nakakahiya naman sa matanda baka mapagod pa. Saan ba yan?”

Isang netizen ang kontra sa isinusulong na P40-B ‘food stamp’ na ideya ng administrasyong Marcos.

Sa kanyang Facebook post, sinabi ni MJ Quiambao Reyes na naalala niya ang isang benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program o 4Ps na ayaw ng mag-trabaho dahil sapat na ang pera na natatanggap niya sa gobyerno.

“Marami raw sa kanila ay ayaw ng mag banat ng buto. Umaasa na lamang sa 4Ps. Ayaw na’ng mag tanim, ayaw mangisda, at ayaw na rin mamasukan. Pa tong-its tong-its na lang at pa-barik barik ang ilan. Pinagkakasya ang natatanggap na ayuda. Yung iba, sinasadya pa nga raw magparami ng anak para mas malaki ang matanggap,” ani Reyes.

Ayon sa kanya ay ang isinusulong na food stamp program ng gobyerno ay maaring lalo pang mang-engganyo sa mga mahihirap na umasa na lamang lalo sa gobyerno.

“Sana mas paglaanan natin ng resources ang mga mas sustainable livelihood programs para totoong umangat ang mga kababayan nating nasa laylayan – at hindi masanay sa paghingi o pagtanggap lang ng ayuda (na minsan o madalas ay kapalit ng kanilang boto).” aniya.

“Sana ang bilyones na pondo ay mas gamitin para maturuan ng makabagong teknolohiya at matulungan ang ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Mag invest sa mga cold storage facilities, farm to market roads, onsite processing facilities per region, and the likes.

“Sana mas gamitin ang pondo para tulungan rin na makapag bukas ng mga pabrika sa iba’t ibang lugar to help generate jobs. Tulungan natin silang tumayo sa sariling mga paa.” dagdag pa niya.

Ayon kay Reyes ay dapat itigil na ng gobyerno ang pamimigay ng kung ano anong tulong sa mahihirap ng walang kapalit.

“Please, let’s not encourage mendicancy.” sabi niya.

Matatandaan na ilang 4Ps beneficiary na ang nahuli dahil sa ginagamit lamang nila ang kanilang natatanggap na pera sa gobyerno sa mga walang katuturang bagay.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed information about the rumored mass exodus that may possibly happen in Eat Bulaga in the coming days.

In her online show ‘Showbiz Now Na’ with her co-hosts Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, they discussed the possible transfer of some Eat Bulaga hosts, together with Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon because of their problems with the management.

According to Cristy, a secret meeting was held between some people behind Eat Bulaga to count how many of them would join the exodus.

One of the results of the meeting was the vow of the people who attended that they would support TVJ and transfer to another network together.

It can be recalled that aside from the planned force retirement of some production members of Eat Bulaga, Tito also revealed that some hosts including Vic and Joey didn’t receive any talent fee for several months.

Because of the problems surrounding Eat Bulaga, some producers from other networks didn’t waste the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to convince TVJ to possibly work with them.

“That’s possible,” Sotto said when asked about their possible transfer of network. “As a matter of fact, I have no problem saying that we’re getting offers from two other stations,”

It’s not yet known if the Jalosjos family has a backup plan if ever that TVJ finally decided to leave after decades of working with them.

Jason Hernandez reacted to the criticisms he received from Moira dela Torre’s sister J’Mee.

It can be remembered that Jason made a new song dedicated to his former partner, but J’Mee found the song funny, claiming that the actions made by the singer to her sister contradicted the song.

“Nakakatawa ung buong song, especially ung part na “naghihintay parin hanggang ngayon sa ikaw at ako.” kasi parang sa buong year never ka naman nag-effort sa ate ko??? Never ka din nag-effort sa family namin before and after kayo naghiwalay.” J’Mee said.

Jason then defended himself, saying that J’Mee should not be surprised by the song he released because he already showed it to her last year.

“Sorry J’mee I didn’t want to do this. I tried calling you but you blocked me everywhere. I was caught off guard when you posted your tweets because one, I showed you this song last year July already so I don’t get why you’re surprised with the lyrics,” Jason said.

He also said that he was visiting Moira’s relatives, until the Dela Torre family asked him to stop.

“Number two, I visited May, August, October, and December to give gifts for Christmas. I promised you I‘d still be your kuya no matter what. But when your mom expressed that Moi didnt want me hanging out with you guys, I respected that that’s why I stopped visiting.” he stated.

Jason even narrated how he plead to Moira to fix their relationship after he cheated.

“You didnt see kung paano ako lumuhod at umiyak so she would take me back (ate lea and chai saw), you didnt see kung pano siya nag basag ng baso to shut me up, you didnt see kung pano siya galit na galit noong nagpadala ako ng food sakanya cause I thought she was sick and how she told me to never go near her again. You dont know how I would wait outside the condo sa driveway para ma-timingan lang siya kausapin.” Jason stated.

He also admitted that he still wanted to reconcile with Moira.

“Ask your ate, we spoke on the phone about 3 weeks ago and told her I missed her. I miss my bestfriend. Thats why I never had any other relationship before and after we broke up. You call me desperate, yes, I am desperate to have her back. I made mistakes but I wanna be able to say that I did everything to make up and learn from it.” he said.

Jason Marvin’s new song, ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’ became trending on social media after netizens realized that the ‘mystery woman’ he was taking photos with was only an actress for the music video of his new project.

Netizens realized that the said song was dedicated to his former partner Moira dela Torre whom he separated from last year.

However, not everyone was pleased by the song made by Jason, including the sister of Moira, J’Mee Dela Torre.

In a series of tweets, J’mee made fun of the song dedicated by Jason to her sister.

“Nakakatawa ung buong song, especially ung part na “naghihintay parin hanggang ngayon sa ikaw at ako.” kasi parang sa buong year never ka naman nag-effort sa ate ko??? Never ka din nag-effort sa family namin before and after kayo naghiwalay.

“Naiirita lang ako kasi ang layo talaga ng mga pinagsasabi mo sa lyrics ng kanta mo. Why do u need to manipulate ppl into thinking that you still love and miss her?? like wtf? Ang layo talaga.

“Tapos ginamit pa yung video clips from the wedding, concerts and the tagpuan mv– WITHOUT my ate’s permission? Lmao. forda clout chasing amp ure getting too desperate and jt’s kinda funny lol,” she said.
