Valentine Rosales responded to Rendon Labador’s criticisms against Andrea Brillantes.

It can be recalled that Rendon joined the topic of Andrea’s breakup with basketball player Ricci Rivero.

According to Labador, men would leave immature ladies even if they already achieved something in financial aspects.

“Maraming pera pero isip bata, iiwanan talaga namin kayo #CareerMunaBagoLandi,” Labador said. “Para sa lahat ng taong iniwan ng Jowa. Oras na para ayusin ang mga sarili ninyo. Hindi namin kaylangan ng babaeng MARAMING PERA. Mas appealing ang babaeng matured mag isip at may priority sa buhay,”

“Wake up call sa lahat ng kabataan ito na puro paganda lang ang alam pero wala naman laman ang utak. In short, TURN OFF ang babaeng IMMATURE,” he added.

The post made by Rendon received thousands of reactions and even internet celebrity Valentine Rosales made a joke, offering mature ladies to the motivational speaker.

He mentioned Cristy Fermin and Lolit Solis as example of matured ladies.

“Rendon matured na babae pala hanap mo eh, wag ka mag alala may dalawa akong babae dito pwede pag pilian si Manay Lolit or si Mareng Cristy pili ka nalang pareho yang matured,” Valentine said.

Rendon then responded, calling Cristy and Lolit ‘expired’ and not matured.

As of writing, the two veteran columnist have yet to respond to Rendon.

Balik kapuso? Willie Revillame’s ‘Wowowin’ to return to national television

Willie Revillame announced that he would return to work as he revealed his plan to revive his former GMA network show ‘Wowowin’.

In a social media post made by former Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito-Castelo, she was told by Revillame about his plans to revive his former show after leaving AllTV.

The former lawmaker invited the public to support Revillame’s comeback.

“Sa isang pambihirang pagkakataon, nakasama natin ang aktor at Wowowin Host na si Willie Revillame o mas kilala sa tawag na Kuya Wil.” Hipolito-Castelo said.

“Iniimbitahan din niya tayong abangan ang pagbabalik ng kanyang programang ‘Wowowin’.” she added.

In the said photos, it can be seen that Revillame decided to lengthen his hair, far from his last appearance to television.

It can be remembered that Revillame faced controversy after he answered the accusations that his former program Wowowin in AllTV has already been planned to terminate because of its low ratings.

He even reminded some showbiz personalities about the help he gave to them that made the situation worse.

Last April 4, it was reported that Revillame already terminated his contract with AllTV and rumors about his return to GMA Network started to circulate.

Wowowin has previously aired on GMA-7, but the host decided to bring the show to AllTV.

Pokwang, tinawag na ‘bitter’ dahil sa pagsasampa ng kaso kay Lee O’Brian: “Move on and forget that experience”

Comedian Pokwang went viral on social media after she took her issue with former partner Lee O’Brian to another level after filing a deportation case against the American actor.

On June 14, Pokwang together with her lawyer Rafael Vicente Calinisan asked the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to deport Lee for allegedly not following the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.

According to Pokwang, Lee made several jobs in the country despite only using a tourist visa.

She cited that Lee became cast in the movie “Sandwich” despite only being a tourist in the country.

Pokwang also cited the acts made by Lee, including his relationship with another woman that could affect the welfare of their daughter Malia.

“This caused me so much stress during my pregnancy that caused my admission to the hospital,” she said.

However, several netizens didn’t like what Pokwang did, saying that the comedian should just move on and let his former partner become happy, citing that they’re not married.

“Ayaw niya nakikita na masaya siya sa ibang kasama dipa yan naka move on di niya matanggap na pinagpalit siya,” netizen Melania said.

“Grabe nmn deportation tlga? E kung gusto Ng tao manirahan Jan… Subra subra namang ganti ito … Kung hnd ka mahal Ng tao at nasaktan ka tanggapin nlng TAs move on,” netizen Tisay commented.

However, some people still supported Pokwang, saying that people should also understand the feelings of the comedian.

“Hindi natin alam ang buong istorya nila kaya wag tayo mag judge, hindi naman cguro gagawin yan ni pokwang kung walang mas malalim na dahilan lalo’t may anak sila. Respect nalang natin ang disisyon nya lalo na kung wala naman tayong alam at maitutulong sa buhay nila.” netizen Rachell remarked.

Rebranded Eat Bulaga ‘G sa Gedli’ contestant pinasalamatan ang Tito, Vic and Joey sa national television

An episode of the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga went viral on social media after one of its lucky contestants mentioned the original hosts of the show Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

It can be recalled that TVJ resigned from TAPE Inc. on May 31, 2023, after having issues with the production company.

The owners of TAPE then made a statement, saying that Eat Bulaga will continue without TVJ.

However, it seems that TVJ was already inseparable from Eat Bulaga as one of its contestants thanked the legendary trio while receiving a prize from one of its segments, ‘G sa Gedli’.

“May tulong sa’yo ang Eat Bulaga…anong masasabi mo sa Eat Bulaga?,” the segment’s leading host Isko Moreno asked.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa Eat Bulaga lalo na kela Tito, Vic, and Joey,” the contestant said after receiving P10,000.

Isko quickly tried to control the situation as many netizens believed that it would upset the producers of Eat Bulaga who were possibly gonna face charges from TVJ for their continued use of the noontime show title.

The former Manila City mayor asked the contestant for an assurance that he would still watch Eat Bulaga even if TVJ already left.

“Oh ‘yun. Tito, Vic, and Joey, mga nakasama natin nung araw, hinding-hindi natin malilimutan. Pero ngayon, ang bagong Eat Bulaga lagi mo ba kaming sasamahan?” Isko asked.

Fortunately, the contestant said that he would remain a fan of Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that TVJ was planning to claim its rights to Eat Bulaga title.

Jalosjos may mensahe sa mga bagong Eat Bulaga hosts: ‘Ayaw namin kayong maging Tito, Vic and Joey”

Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) chief financial officer Bullet Jalosjos said that he tried to comfort the new hosts of their rebranded version of Eat Bulaga after they received a tremendous amount of criticism on social media.

It can be recalled that Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, Cassy Legaspi, and Mavy Legaspi replaced the original hosts of Eat Bulaga, and received accusations that they’re trying to rival the original Dabarkads, including Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

However, Jalosjos told their new talents that they were not meant to replace TVJ.

“Even yung mga talents na tinatawagan—takot. We have to convince them that ‘You’re not trying to fill any shoe… You have to understand it’s the show,” said Jalosjos. “Malinaw daw niyang sinabi sa bagong hosts: “We don’t want you to replace…to be a Tito, Vic and Joey. Kasi Tito, Vic and Joey na yan.”

“You’re just here to ensure na makapagbigay kami ng saya, mapagpatuloy namin yung duty namin as a show to entertain every Filipino at a certain time of the day.” he added.

It can be recalled that even Paolo already made several statements to made it clear that they’re not trying to be the next TVJ.

“S’yempre lilinawin lang naman natin, walang planong palitan, wala kaming chance palitan si Tito, Vic and Joey. Wala kaming chance dun,” he said.

“We were just called to work, to continue the show because ang gusto ng TAPE office na makapagbigay ng papremyo every day.” he added.

Former Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon admitted that he already watched the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga.

In an interview with Julius Babao, Joey even said that he was watching their rival show ‘It’s Showtime’ before, so it was impossible for him not to watch their former show.

He clarified that he’s doesn’t have any negative comments about the show that currently hosted by Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, Buboy Villar, and others.

“Oo sumilip ako siyempre… “Sinungaling ko namang kung sabihin kong hindi ko nasilip. Nasilip ko, sanay akong manood ng Showtime, lahat. ng TV. Wala akong masamang komentaryo. Nagtatrabaho ‘yung mga tao.” Joey said.

However, he was surprised by the criticisms being received by the new show.

“‘Yun nga lang siyempre, hindi ko akalain yung puna ng iba ang daming… ‘Yung nauso yung social media, lahat ang daming nagkokomentaryo ‘di ba? Labas na ako ‘dun,” he stated.

He also talked about the trademark issue of Eat Bulaga that TVJ and TAPE Inc. both claimed, saying that the judgment of who was the rightful owner of the brand was already near.

Joey believed that he was the rightful owner of Eat Bulaga title even if he passed away.

“Nasa batas ‘yan Jules.. Nakasulat e, kung sino ang nakaisip sa kanya yan,” he insisted.

It was reported that Joey already filed entertainment services rights for Eat Bulaga.

A lawyer believed that while Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc) claimed that they owned the rights to use the ‘Eat Bulaga’ title, the founding host of the noontime show, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon has still the upper hand on the trademark issue.

One of the officials of TAPE Inc. claimed that they filed a trademark for Eat Bulaga branding in 2011, so they have all the rights to use the title even if TVJ already left the show.

“Syempre, kami po ang nag-trademark niyan ‘nung 2011. And we also had another application 1991. So just the fact na walang iba na nag-oppose. None of them, none of the TVJs, No one oppose our filing for the trademark of Eat Bulaga, it just means to say na talagang it’s clear. The name stays with us, the company and with the incorporation. So hindi po talaga pwedeng madala po ‘yung Eat Bulaga,” the official said.

Atty. Mark Tolentino of Pinoy Legal Minds cited a Supreme Court decision that anyone who registered the trademark first was the one who rightfully owned the brand.

While Tolentino said that TAPE Inc. already registered to Eat Bulaga trademark to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), he mentioned that it was already set to expire on June 14, 2023.

He also said that TAPE only filed a trademark for the ‘merchandising rights’ of Eat Bulaga and not ‘Entertainment Services’.

Because of this, TAPE only has the right to sell Eat Bulaga merchandise and it doesn’t give them the right to use the current title of the noontime show.

He then mentioned that Atty. Tony Tuviera who was part of the TVJ faction, already filed a trademark for merchandising and entertainment services rights, while Joey de Leon filed for entertainment services only.

According to him, there’s no move from TAPE yet to renew their previous registration and there’s a possibility that it will be rejected if ever that TVJ already made their move.

“Pwedeng i-approve yan, pwede ring i-deny basta ang sabi ng batas, until June 2023 ang ownership TAPE incorporated sa Eat Bulaga brand, but it only refers to Merchandising right,” Atty. Tolentino said.

TVJ already took the service of DivinaLaw, a sign that they’re really serious about claiming the Eat Bulaga trademark.

However, Tolentino said that TVJ should have already registered Eat Bulaga many decades ago to avoid the problem.

Copyright and trademark is also different issues because while copyright favors the one who created the brand, trademark favors the one who registered first.

“Kung ang issue natin dito ay about ‘kami ang una’ yes relevant yon kapag ang pinag-uusapan ay copyright, kasi ang sabi ng batas ‘in the moment of creation’ yun ang proteksyon ng copyright. But kung trademark ang pinag-uusapan, yung logo o brand ang pinag-uusapan, ownership is thru registration,” the lawyer said.

Michael V. denies that he refuses any invitation from TAPE to host Eat Bulaga: “Alam ko kasi na in the future, I will appear on both shows”

Comedian Michael V. refused the reports circulating about his alleged refusal from hosting the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga.

In his social media post, Michael cited a report from Remate which indicated that Michael junked the offer from Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) the current owner of Eat Bulaga to join the show as a replacement to the Dabarkads who resigned last May 31.

According to him, there’s no truth about the said report, however, he clarified that he would still refuse the offer if ever because of his schedule.

“WALA po akong natanggap na offer to host Eat Bulaga on GMA 7. At kung magkaroon man, I will STILL DECLINE dahil hindi na po maa-accommodate ng schedule ko at the moment.” said Michael.

However, he was still hoping that the two camps would set aside their differences to talk and solve the issues involving the show.

He’s also expecting to appear in the rebranded version of Eat Bulaga and also to the upcoming new show of the former Dabarkads on TV5.

“It’s unfortunate na hindi naging maayos ang paghihiwalay ng dalawang kampo and I’m hoping na ma-plantsa na ang gusot. Alam ko kasi na in the future, I will appear on both shows for whatever reason and I would like to feel welcome when that time comes.” he said.

Some netizens interpreted the post by Michael, saying that the comedian has no problem with appearing in the Jalosjos-owned Eat Bulaga despite the issues faced by his former colleagues.

“it means may plano si bitoy na maging host ng bagong eat bulaga kapag humupa na ang issues,” netizen Vhoythoy said.

Joey de Leon talks about Eat Bulaga title: ‘Akalain mo matapos ng 44 na taon, pag-aagawa ito’

Former Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon shared his thoughts about the possible trademark battle between him and Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

It can be recalled that officials of TAPE claimed that they own the trademark for the title ‘Eat Bulaga’ so they have the right to use the same title even if Joey, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and other original hosts of the show left already.

So hindi po talaga pwedeng madala po ‘yung Eat Bulaga,” one of the officials of TAPE said.

In his social media post, Joey made an indirect response to the statement made by the official, saying that he couldn’t believe that Eat Bulaga title would be claimed by somebody after 44 years.

“Noong maisip, binuo at imungkahi ko ang pangalang “EAT BULAGA!” para sa aming palabas nung 1979, naramdaman kong kahit ito ang napili at tinanggap ng marami sa namumuno, matagal-tagal ding ninamnam ito hanggang sa tumining; wari bang isang aampunin na may kaibang tunog at kaiba sa paningin.” Joey said.

“Tila ba kailangan mong masanay lunukin. Aakalain ba nyong makalipas ang 44 na taon o halos LIMANG DEKADA, ang pangalang ito ay pag-aawayan, pag-aagawan at marami ang nais na umangkin?!” he added.

Tito already said that they’re planning to bring the issue to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to determine the rightful owner of Eat Bulaga branding.

The host expressed confidence that they would win the case and even planning to charge TAPE Inc. for using Eat Bulaga title.

Isko Moreno decides to become regular host of Eat Bulaga after his guesting

Former Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno hinted that he would become a regular co-host of Eat Bulaga after his guest appearance Saturday, June 10.

In the Saturday episode of the rebranded Eat Bulaga, Moreno who’s introduced as a guest host has been given his own segment “G sa Gedli.” where he was accompanied by Buboy Villar.

In the said segment, ‘Yorme’ distributed money to random people they met along Marcos Highway, Cainta.

Moreno said that he enjoyed hosting the said noontime show and that he decided to return on Monday.

“Ang dami mong sinasabi, Yorme. Ikaw ba, nandito ka sa Lunes?” Eat Bulaga co-host Paolo Contis asked Moreno.

“Kailangan pa ba i-memorize ‘yan?” he added.

Aside from doing his own segment, Moreno also performed his ’90s signature dance that he used in several of his campaigns.

He also addressed the televiewers using street slang.

“Balita ko, masaya todits. Huwag kayong aalis. Diyan lang kayo gedli, bandang wakali, bandang nanka. Nandito na kami,” he told the audience.

Fans believed that TAPE’s decision to make Moreno a co-host was a wise move that may boost its decreasing ratings.

Moreno was popular among the masses and his fame even pushed him to run for the highest office in 2022.
