Former Eat Bulaga host Jimmy Santos went viral on social media after he tried being a charcoal maker.

In his vlog, Jimmy was shown carrying sacks of charcoal as part of his mission to try ordinary people’s jobs.

To achieve document charcoal making, Jimmy went to Angeles City to learn how it was made.

Jimmy tried how the wood was being processed to become charcoal and even tried to carry it.

He also clarified that trying different jobs was only part of his content creation, and he had not faced any financial difficulties since leaving Eat Bulaga.

The former Dabarkads received praise from the netizens due to the content he was publishing on social media.

Anjo Ylanna clarified his relationship with Sheryl Cruz after the latter revealed her relationship with the former Eat Bulaga host during an interview with Boy Abunda on May 23, 2024.

It can be recalled that Sheryl revealed that she was already engaged to Anjo, but their wedding didn’t happen after the latter impregnated another woman.

However, Anjo insisted that his relationship with another woman was why his relationship with Sheryl ended.

According to him, he was already separated from Sheryl when he had a girlfriend.

“Wala na kami noong nakipag-cool off ako sa kanya, pero hindi ko alam kung nagpunta siya sa Amerika. Basta ang alam ko, nung meron akong bagong girlfriend, wala na kami ni Sheryl,” he said.

“Hindi ko alam kung nagpunta siya sa States dahil masama ang loob niya dahil nga may girlfriend na ako. Ang problema ko noon, nabuntis ko ang girlfriend ko, pero break na kami ni Sheryl,” he added.

In the same interview, Anjo also said that he couldn’t marry Sheryl due to his responsibilities at that time.

“Inaalagaan ko pa noon yung mga kapatid ko kasi ako nga ang panganay. Nag-aaral pa sila. Yung tatay ko, baldado,” he said.

“Sabi ko, ‘Ready na ba ako?’ Saka bubukod na ako, paano ang pamilya ko? Kasal yan, e. Siyempre kapag in love kayo, masarap pag-usapan. Love ko naman siya, love niya ako, kaya lang ready na ba ako? Bigla akong nag-isip,” he added.

As of writing, Sheryl has yet to give a response to Anjo’s clarification.

A company published a public apology after they received criticism on social media due to how they labeled Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo.

In the said post, Big Brew, a coffee and milk tea franchise company, published a photo after the announcement of this year’s Miss Universe PH winners, labeling Chelsea as a ‘Dark Choco’ due to her skin complexity.

It also showed a graphic drawing of Alden Richards, announcing the winner as a ‘Dark Choco’ while Manalo’s crown was replaced with a product of Big Brew.

“Dark Choco ang nanalong BigBrewniverse. Balanse kasi ang sarap at presyo,” the company captioned.

The photo received criticism from the netizens as they believed that the company made fun of Chelsea’s skin color.

The company quickly apologized for their joke and insisted that they never meant to make fun of the Miss Universe PH winner.

“Pasensya na ho kayo. Dinelete po namin agad ang post as a sign of realization and regret,” the company wrote.

“Pangako, hindi na mauulit. Mas magiging maingat sa susunod,” they added.

It can be recalled that several netizens questioned how Chelsea won the competition despite her skin color.

Fans reminded the critics that skin color should not become a measurement of beauty.

However, Chelsea’s defenders understood the criticism as the country was obsessed with white complexion.

Rudy Baldwin believed that there was an individual behind Kris Aquino’s condition.

Ogie was so curious about the visions that he asked Rudy personally about it.

During the interview, Rudy disclosed the said celebrities to Ogie and later on he asked about the fortune teller’s comment on Kris Aquino’s condition.

According to Rudy, Kris’ condition could be easily be treated if she would only follow other ways to cure herself.

Rudy believed that someone was behind Kris’ condition, so she offered her services to the Queen of All Media for free.

Camarines Sur Gov. Luigi Villafuerte and Yassi Pressman couldn’t stop showing their love to each other while performing in front of thousands of viewers at an event they had organized.

After their performance ended, Villafuerte quickly held Yassi to start a passionate act in front of their fans.

The two smooched for around ten seconds, which resulted in the live viewers cheering loudly.

Last April, Yassi already hinted at her relationship with Villafuerte.

Kim Atienza’s daughter, Eliana, was reportedly removed from her campus and lost her home after she decided to join the protest against Israel.

According to the reports, Eliana was included among the students who were removed from the Univesity of Pennsylvania (UPenn) for joining the protest.

“I and five other students have been taken up, been forced to take a mandatory leave of absence. But what that means is, it’s a ban on campus,” she said.

“I am 19 years old, I live in a student dorm, and what that ban meant was that I couldn’t access my on-campus housing. I’ve been locked out of my dorm. I’m not allowed to access any dining hall, the library,” she added.

“I live on campus. The university has barred me from entering. In other words—the university has made me houseless,” Eliana said in another interview.

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim said that he would support the stance of his daughter.

He also clarified that his daughter was homeless, not because of lack of funds, but because she was living in the university where she was barred from entering.

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi clarified her post about Miss Universe PH 2024 after receiving criticism on social media.

It can be recalled that Celeste raised the eyebrows of some pageant fans due to her cryptic message, which was interpreted as her reaction to the result of the prestigious event.

“WHAT JUST HAPPENED #muph2024,” she wrote.

After her tweet, Celeste wrote another post to praise Miss Universe Philippines 2024 4th Runner-Up Christi Lynn McGarry.

“Ang ganda ganda ni Christi tas perfect yung answer nya,” she wrote.

Her tweets were criticized as some netizens saw her tweets as her way to express her disappointment that Christi didn’t win the title. Instead, the one who was crowned was Miss Bulacan Chelsea Manalo.

Netizens also reminded Celeste about the Top 16 Miss Universe streak she ended.

However, Celeste clarified that she was only talking about the confusion in the program flow of the show.

According to her, people must stop making issues and try to make it look like she opposed the result of the pageant.

“Ya’ll need to chill. Haha. What I meant by what happened is how the other crowns were distributed. Where’s Cainta? where’s Taguig? Stop trying to make an issue, I have my bets but I fully support whoever wins,” she stated.

Questions about Alice Guo’s identity accumulate as lawmakers ask her about her wealth.

During the senate hearing led by Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Guo, who described herself as an ordinary citizen of the country, allegedly owned several luxury cars and even a helicopter.

According to Hontiveros, photos showed that Guo owned around 16 vehicles and even a helicopter, which raised the question of how she acquired such wealth since she was living in a not-so-wealthy municipality.

One of the vehicles allegedly owned by Guo was a McLaren 620R, which reportedly cost P16.7-M.

However, Guo denied that she owned many vehicles, saying that some of the vehicles shown in the photos were part of her car buy-and-sell business.

“Hindi ko na siya assets. Buy and sell din po kasi ang negosyo sa Westcars kaya may umiikot na sasakyan. Pero ang sasakyan na gamit ko ngayon GAC,” she said.

She also admitted receiving support from her father, who’s a businessman in China.

“Minsan 500K, minsan 1 million, 2 million. Hindi naman po siya on a regular basis,” she stated.

Despite her explanation, some lawmakers believed that Guo had ties with a blacklisted company.

Meanwhile, Senate President Chiz Escudero said that it would be tricky to remove Guo from her current position as Mayor.

“Oo may rason para mag-alanganin tayo, pero yung presumption ay nananatili pa rin siya ay nakatakbo, siya ay registered voter, may passport siya na Pilipino siya. Nasa nagsasabing hindi na patunayan yun,” Escudero said.

“Ang pwedeng mag-question ng kaniyang citizenship at qualification bilang mayor sa pamamagitan ng quo warranto case ay ang solicitor general lamang. Walang kapangyarihan ang Comelec i-disqualify siya sa puntong ito. Kung isususpinde man siya ng DILG baka, sabihin nila tingin nila hindi siya citizen, dapat may basehan din yun,” he added.
