Actress Andi Eigenmann finally ended her silence over the issue surrounding her partner, Philmar Alipayo, who went viral on social media after being spotted talking to a girl in Siargao.

In a now-deleted video, content creator Crissa Liaging, who visited Siargao, was seen talking with Philmar.

Netizens noticed how Crissa and Philmar interacted despite supposedly meeting for the first time, which gained speculations about their real relationship.

As a response, Andi finally said that netizens should stop making an issue about everything.

“He can go out with his friends, go drinking every once in a while, and chat with whomever he wants. No harm in that,” said Andi. “What’s shameful is purposely posting and editing video to cause a stir, disturbing the peace of people and dragging them into their negativity just for some social media attention,” 

It can be recalled that netizens noticed the romantic background music used by Crissia in the video she posted with Philmar, which fueled the speculations that the content creator had a crush to the professional surfer.

As of writing, Philmar has yet to give a statement on the issue.

Meanwhile, Crissia denied that she was romantically involved with Philmar, saying that she cannot be compared to Andi’s beauty.

Content creator Tito Mars raised the eyebrows of the netizens again after he made a video about his ‘first’ ride on a jeepney.

In a video, Tito Mars recorded himself riding a jeepney, saying he was nervous because it was his first time using public transportation.

He was also asking the driver if they’re accepting cards as a payment.

“Kuya tumatanggap ba kayo ng card o kaya ng g-cash?” said Tito Mars.

“Hala, barya lang pala bayad dito,” he added.

Fortunately, Tito Mars had a 20 peso in his pocket.

“Buti nalang pala talaga madali lang magbayad sa jeep,” he said.

While e-wallets were not often accepted in traditional jeepneys, several modern versions already accept modern forms of payment, like reloadable beep cards.

The post received mixed reactions from the netizens.

The singer was described as the one who replaced veteran actress Eva Darren as presenter of the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS) at the last minute and broke her silence on the issue.

In her Facebook post, Sheena Palad responded to the netizens who criticized her after she replaced Eva during the event.

According to her, she was supposed to perform only during the awards night, but a staff member of FAMAS asked her to become a last-minute replacement for Eva, who was already at the venue at that time.

“Pinuntahan po ako ng staff sabi niya ‘Sheena can we ask a big favor from you?’ sabi ko ‘Yes, what’s that?’ tapos ang sabi niya ‘Can you present the award’ sabi ko ‘okay sige, no problem’ that’s it, ‘yun lang po ang alam ko,” she said.

“Hindi ko po alam na si Miss Eva ‘yung magpe-present [ng award]. Sa totoo lang po I’m also clueless, hindi po kasi ako nanonood ng awards night, I was at the holding area so hindi ko po alam kung paano mag-present,” she added.

In her caption, she also declared that Jesus Christ would protect her from the criticisms.

“Buti na lang may Lord Jesus Christ ako sa buhay ko. Honestly, Hindi ko kaya to! It’s also a lesson for everybody to not QUICKLY judge a person,” she said.

It can be recalled that Fernando de la Perna said that his mother was supposed to become one of the presenters of FAMAS together with Tirso Cruz III and even prepared well for the event.

In a Facebook post, netizen Jade, who saw the high school student, who was also working as a part-time seller of wipes, told other social media users how amazed she was by the hustle of the young passenger.

“Share ko lang po yung karanasan ko kanina. So, kanina late na po ako at traffic pa. Nang nasa bandang La Forteza na kami, biglang may isang estudyanteng babae na may dala-dalang basahan ang sumakay na kumuha ng aking atensyon,” she said.

She heard how the student tried to negotiate with the jeepney driver.

“Mabuhay ka, ineng. Pagsipagan mo pa ang iyong pag-aaral. God bless,” she stated.

Thousands of netizens also praised the student for making ways to finance her education.

The director, who received criticism on social media after calling Miss Universe Philippines 2024 winner Chelsea Manalo “Baluga,” made an explanation in an attempt to pacify the netizens.

It can be recalled that Director Ronaldo Carballo went viral on social media after he expressed his disappointment over the result of Miss Universe Philippines, which was held last week.

Carballo was rooting for Miss Cainta Stacey Gabriel during the pageant.

“Nagpuyat ako sa puro commercial na Ms. Universe Philippines na yan. Tas, isang balugang Ms. South Africa look lang ang mananalo! Paanong nangyari yun?!” he said.

In another post, Carballo revealed that he received thousands of messages from the netizens due to his message against Manalo.

Carballo also stood by his prediction that Manalo would never reach the Top 20 of Miss Universe 2024, which would be held in Mexico.

“So far, hindi pa ko nagkamali in the past results: Nung sinabi kong magiging Ms. Universe sina Katriona Grey at Pia Wurtzbach sa magkaibang taon, naging Ms. Universe nga sila talaga. In his Facebook post, Director Ronaldo Carballo expressed his disappointment over the result of the pageant, saying that he was rooting for Stacey Gabriel of Cainta to win the competition.

He also couldn’t stop himself from pointing out Manalo’s skin color.

“Nagpuyat ako sa puro commercial na Ms. Universe Philippines na yan. Tas isang balugang Ms. South Afraica look lang ang mananalo! Paanong nangyari ‘yun?” he said.

“Ms. Cainta ang bet ko from the start of the Pageant. Maganda; sexy; at intelligent. Maganda magsalita; walang backel; Spontanous. Effortless. Natural. Pang-Ms. Universe talaga!” he added.

According to him, Manalo would not even enter the top 20 of Miss Universe 2024.

“Mark word, ni hindi papasok yang si Ms. Bulacan sa top 20 ng Ms. Universe! Andali namang i-judge, eh! Sinayang na naman nila ang chance na magkaroon uli sana ng ika-limang Ms. Universe ang Pilipinas, with Ms. Cainta na queenly’ng queenly ang aura at kabuuan niya,” he stated.

Carballo’s post received criticism from the netizens due to the director’s direct comment on Manalo’s skin color.

“Kalalaki mong tao ganyan ka magsalita taga ibang bansa kaba kuya o papansin ka para makilala ka ulet.Wala kabang mga kapatid kaibigan o nanay na babae.Sana po isipin po natin yong mga sinasabi natin sa kapwa Pilipinong kababayan natin,” netizen Belen said.

“Sobra naman po kayo. Dapat suportahan natin ang sariling atin. Maganda po si Ms. Manalo. Black is beautiful. Malakas ang laban natin sa Miss Universe. Bet ko siya ang mananalo ngayon,” netizen Carrie remarked.

As of writing Manalo has yet to give response to Carballo’s comment against her.

Social media celebrity and fashion influencer Bryanboy proved that even Sardines can also be luxurious.

In his Facebook post, Bryanboy responded to the viral sardines video of content creator Tito Mars, in which the latter is shown forcing himself to eat the canned goods.

To end the norm that Sardines are a ‘poor man’s dish’ Bryanboy claimed that he went to Louis Vuitton to buy a “limited edition” canned good, which, according to him, has a price tag of 18,000 euros or 1.13 million pesos.

The sardines were packaged inside a Louis Vuitton box and with cards.

Bryanboy didn’t hesitate to open it and taste it despite its price.

The influencer said the LV Sardines taste was “not bad.”

The video received millions of views from the netizens, and many believed that the Sardines were made by the luxury brand.

However, a simple browse of the Sardines brand would show that it only costs 5.99 Swiss Francs or 380 pesos.

However, some viewers quickly understood that the video was only a joke made by Bryanboy about the issue.

While it’s more expensive than ordinary sardines, the brand didn’t cost a million pesos as Bryanboy claims.

As of writing, Tito Mars has yet to give a response to Bryanboy.
