Former EB Babe member Lian Paz revealed the reason she gave up on pushing for the annulment of her marriage with Paolo Contis.

In an interview, Lian narrated that Paolo initially filed for annulment in 2014, but it was rejected by the court, which prompted her to make another attempt on her own in 2021.

Paolo and Lian were married in 2009, but their marriage only lasted four years despite having two daughters.

According to Lian, who’s now in a relationship with John Cabahug, she faced difficulties with the annulment of her marriage due to the lack of evidence they needed to gather.

Lian, who is known for being religious, decided to withdraw the annulment case, saying that she would let God decide what would happen next.

“Nag-withdraw ako kasi kulang ang evidences and all. Maraming hassle. So I’m thinking, maybe may ibang paraan si Lord, at hihintayin ko na lang yung will Niya, not mine anymore. This time, I want to trust the Lord,” she said.

It can be recalled that aside from the annulment, Lian also disclosed that her children, Xonia and Xalene, wanted to change their surname due to the absence of their father.

Paolo admitted that he didn’t send child support to his children but clarified that he was saving for them.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) urged netizens to not only express their disappointment with certain television shows on social media but also file a formal complaint with their agency.

Amid the issue being faced by It’s Showtime, following Vice Ganda’s decision to retract her apology to a participant of their segment “EXpecially For You,” several netizens visited MTRCB’s Facebook page to air their disappointment towards the Kapamilya noontime show.

They asked the agency to take action against It’s Showtime for allegedly embarrassing their contestant on national television.

As a response, MTRCB encouraged the netizens to file a formal complaint against It’s Showtime.

It can be recalled that Vice was supposed to apologize to the participant, Axel Cruz after he called him out for his gesture towards his ex-girlfriend, Maria Christine.

Christine already said that she was fine with the gestures of her ex-boyfriend, but Vice insisted that what Axel did was inappropriate.

After Vice’s statement, Christine was reportedly so affected by the comedian’s statement that she called It’s Showtime staff to express her disappointment while crying.

According to her, the statement made by Vice put her in a bad light.

Netizens noticed Axel’s quotes were about challenges, which prompted them to cheer the participant for the possible effects of Vice’s actions towards him.

Some even urged Axel to file a complaint before the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to teach the host a lesson.

A writer and mariner wrote an open letter to Vice Ganda about the comedian’s decision not to apologize for calling out a participant in the It’s Showtime segment, Especially for you.

In his letter that he posted on Facebook, Lacruiser Relativo called out Vice for putting people in an embarrassing situation on national television.

“To Vice Ganda, if you and your company find so much fulfillment by shaming innocent people on national TV, congratulations! You have just earned the highest distinction award in the expense of other people’s peace and reputation. Hindi naman kami killjoy vice. In fact, we are hailed as the happiest people in Asia. Nasa dugo natin ang pagiging masayahin. But as long na may mga taong kailangan mong ipahiya on live TV, walang pwedeng magsaya!” he said.

“Hindi ito ang una humingi ng sorry si Vice. Pero sorry becomes an empty word, loses its meaning kung walang genuine remorse and usually contradicts with her actions,” he added.
