The coffin used by Dingdong Dantes’ character in the top-selling movie “Rewind” was featured on the popular online show “Pinoy Pawnstars” offered to collector Jayson “Boss Toyo” Luzadas.
In the said episode, Pasky Illagan, who owned St. Athanasius Memorial Chapel, where the casket was rented, visited Boss Toyo’s shop to sell it for an initial price of P1-M.
When asked if the casket was signed by Rewind’s leading cast members Dingdong and Marian Rivera, Pasky sadly said that the artists didn’t sign it.
Still, Boss Toyo decided to make an offer to the casket for P200,000 to P300,000.
Both of them compromised to the price of P250,000.
The influencer was hoping that Dingdong would sign the casket in the future.
“Sir Dingdong, alam ko nanood ka lagi ng ‘Pinoy Pawnstar’ so dito sa harapan ko ‘yung hinigaan mo sa ‘Rewind’, I hope ‘pag nagkasundo kami ni sir, pasyalan mo naman ako sa aking munting shop para mapirmahan mo,” he said.
It can be recalled that Rewind earned P815 M, making it the highest-grossing film of all time in the Philippines.
