‘Gwapulis’ na naitampok sa KMJS, nagsalita sa panlalait sa kanyang itsura sa camera

A police officer featured on the GMA Network magazine show “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” reacted to the criticisms he received from some netizens who claimed his photos on the program misled them.

On February 11, Patrolman Julius Rael’s story of self-improvement was featured on the show.

According to Rael, he became the subject of mockery in the past due to his looks, but due to his determination to improve himself, he achieved his goal of becoming better-looking.

“Sinabihan ako ng mga classmate ko na hindi daw ako magkaka-girlfriend dahil wala daw magkakagusto sa akin dahil sa itsura ko,” he said.

While the officer received mostly praise on social media, some netizens claimed that Rael’s photos were altered to make him look better.

One of those netizens even made a meme comparing Rael in his photos to his appearance during the KMJS interview.

Rael then made a fierce response to the said netizen.

“Sorry for not meeting up to your standards, Inaki Marie Ofqueria. One thing is for sure, money can’t fix a mean and insecure heart,” he said.

Social media users then expressed their support for Rael.

“Leave him alone. wala nman ginawang masama si kuyang pulis. Gumamit lang nman sya ng filter,” netizen Annyeong said.

“Still looks the same naman kung nag lipstick at eyebrows si kuya. Tas dahil rin sa lighting,” netizen CJ remarked.
