Veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez passed away at 76, his family and close friends confirmed.
Ronaldo, who became known for being a versatile actor and contributing to the showbiz industry for nearly five decades, left this world for an undisclosed reason.
He was the father of actor-comedian-singer Janno Gibbs.
Ronaldo was survived by his wife, Marie Fe Gibbs, and his children.
It can be recalled that he went viral on social media after he was proclaimed as the first Filipino Colonel Sanders of a popular fast-food restaurant.
The veteran actor shared in an interview that he was discovered by the late King of Comedy, Dolphy, during the 1960s and became popular doing father roles.
His last television series appearance was when he became part of “2 Good 2 Be True” together with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
Some fans of KathNiel also couldn’t hide their sadness as Ronaldo was close to the former celebrity couple.
