Manny Pacquiao’s past issue was brought up again after his alleged illegitimate son, Eman Bacosa, made his boxing debut on September 23.
Eman’s first fight under Manny’s promotion, ‘Blow by Blow,’ ended in a split draw.
Because of Eman’s appearance in public, the past case filed by the 5’10 boxer’s mother against the eight-division world champion reemerged on social media.
In 2006, Joanna Rosa Bacosa filed a case before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office after she claimed that Manny was not sending child support to their child, who turned out to be Eman.
According to the complainant, she met Manny in 2003 at a hotel in Manila where she worked as a waitress.
Their relationship allegedly produced one child, which Pacquiao reportedly met in 2005.
In a counter-affidavit filed by Manny’s camp, the world champion couldn’t believe Joanna was suing him.
“The allegations of complainant are false and I could not believe that despite all the help he has given her and her child, she still filed the complaint,” Manny’s camp wrote.
They also added that even if the Filipino boxing champion was supporting Joanna Rose, it doesn’t mean they have a child.
Manny’s camp also denied that the photo shown by Joanna didn’t prove that he had a relationship with her.
The case was junked after the court found no probable cause to continue the charges against Manny.
