Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio posted a clip from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr’s second State of the Nation Address (SONA), comparing its similarity to former Vice President Leni Robredo’s speech during the presidential debates.
In the said speech, Marcos said that he was hoping that someday, no more Filipinos would be forced to work abroad.
“It is our wish that one day foreign employments will be driven by choice and not by necessity,” said Marcos.
It was similar to what Robredo said when she shared her opinion about Filipinos working abroad.
“Target talaga natin dapat na ‘yung mga kababayan natin ay lumalabas na lamang ng bansa para magtrabaho by choice and not out of necessity,” Robredo said.
In his Instagram post, Clavio couldn’t stop noticing the similarity between the two speeches.
Clavio said.
He also praised the one who noticed the similarity of the said speeches.
