Eat Bulaga host Paolo Contis set the record straight about the criticisms he was receiving on social media.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Paolo said that he’s not really keen on wasting his time with his critics, saying that he was aware of his past mistakes.
It can be recalled that Paolo was already a controversial actor before hosting Eat Bulaga, but the criticisms were amplified when he decided to become part of the rebranded noontime show.
Aside from his failed relationships with Lian Paz and LJ Reyes, Paolo also received criticisms for admitting that he’s not sending child support to his children.
“As I’ve said, bashing, wala, wala sa akin. Hindi ko alam, paulit-ulit akong tinatanong. Hindi ba kayo naniniwala na wala akong pakialam sa namba-bash sa akin?” Paolo said.
“Totoo, wala talaga. Kasi, alam ko naman ang mali ko.” he added.
According to him, he didn’t value the comments from the netizens because he didn’t know them personally.
“Pero yung iba na natatanggap ko na hindi ko naman kilala, bakit ko pakikinggan kung nakausap na kita?” he said.
He even claimed that his critics only knew 10% of the true story.
“Hindi ko responsibilidad na mag-post to defend myself anymore.” he said.
Paolo even shared that he asked his mother not to use her phone for a while to avoid reading comments about him.
“Tinanggalan ko sandali ng phone ang mommy ko kasi, not bashing related, it’s for her health. Siyempre, nanay yon. Eventually, baka ma-stress.” he stated.
