In his social media post, Joey made the netizens excited after he made a hint about their transfer to TV5.

“Sabi ko noon, we are not signing off, we are just taking a day off. In other words, pahinga muna. In Engish, TAKE FIVE,” De Leon said.

It was reported that TVJ was in talks with TV5 and  Albee Benitez of Brightlight Productions for their new show after leaving Eat Bulaga on May 31, 2023.

If the deal has been completed, it’s possible that the current show taking the noontime slot of TV5, It’s Showtime will transfer to the evening slot to give way to the new show.

Some netizens claimed that TV5’s owner, Manny V. Pangilinan was a fan of Eat Bulaga.

However, Tito Sotto said that they’re not planning to use the title ‘Eat Bulaga’ for their new show and planning to bring the issue to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

If ever IPOPHL favors them, Sotto said that they would charge TAPE Inc. for using the Eat Bulaga branding.
