Actress Ellen Adarna revealed that she used to loan money to her friends, but decided to stop it because some people who borrowed money from her didn’t pay her back.
In a social media post, Ellen said that she was generous and kind enough before to help people she knew who needed money to borrow, but decided to stop her good gestures because of one former friend.
According to her, she decided to remove that person from her life, saying that people who didn’t pay their debts have ‘no values’.
“Noong una, malakas akong magpautang pero hindi na ngayon.” said Ellen. “Meron akong isang kaibigan na hanggang ngayon, nakalimutan na niya, siguro na-amnesia siya.”
“Kung kaibigan kasi, hindi ako maniningil, pero ‘yun ang nagiging basis ko sa kanyang character. Good riddance na lang din! You don’t need friends like that, walang values, ‘pag nangutang, kinalimutan lang. Bye, Felicia!” she added.
Ellen came from a prominent family in Cebu who owns several businesses including a hotel chain.
But despite being rich, she never forgot the money being borrowed from her, but she revealed that she never asked her former friend to pay the loan.
Some netizens said that they also experienced the same thing.
