Pokwang became one of the top discussions on social media after she revealed more information about her separation from her former husband Lee O’Brian.
It can be recalled that Pokwang said that she felt that Lee didn’t really love her because of the treatment she received from the American actor and didn’t even help her to finance their needs.
In 2022, Pokwang announced her separation from O’Brian but no one really knows the cause of their failed relationship.
Some netizens called what happened to her Pokwang ‘karma’ because of her belief in politics.
Pokwang supported former Vice President Leni Robredo’s candidacy last year and even became critical with the supporters of the latter’s rival, President Bongbong Marcos Jr.
Some supporters of Marcos couldn’t stop themselves from making fun of the unfortunate love story of Pokwang, but the comedian didn’t hesitate to answer back.
“Kaya pala masyadong bitter ngayon. Pinagkaka-abalahan ang makipag away sa mga pro Marcos. Karma ba yan,” a netizen asked Pokwang.
“Hindi po karma ang tawag doon, nilinis ni God ang daanan ko patungo sa tamang tao! Ikaw pag namatayan kaba ng kamag anak mo karma agad?” Pokwang said.
Pokwang also told other single mothers like her not to think that what happened to their failed relationship was a result of karma.
“Hindi karma ang mabiyayaan ka ng mga anak na nagpapasaya at nagpapangiti sayo araw araw at dahilan ng pagsisikap mo sa buhay.” she said.
She also vowed to take care of Malia even if her family was not whole anymore.
“Natapos man ito sa di inaasahang panahon hindi dito hihinto ang pagiging nanay ko sa mga anak ko. at mas lalo kong minahal ang mga biyayang sakin ay binigay ng Panginoon.” she stated.
