Businessman Francis Leo Marcos insisted that he’s using his real name on social media contrary to what his critics and some members of the Romualdez clan are claiming.
It can be remembered that one member of the Romualdez clan claimed that the real name of the said internet sensation is Norman Mangusin.
In a Facebook live, Marcos said that he couldn’t blame his mother for naming him, Francis Leo.
“Katulad po ng sinabi ko ang aking pong ina ay sobrang inspired sa kabutihan at kagalingan nung unang pamilya ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Edralin Marcos at syempre dating first lady,” Marcos said.
“Ang pangalan ko po, ako na po ito eh, eh kung may isa pang pangalan pa, eh basta eto lang ang masasabi ko, who i am today it is because of my mother, hindi ko po pwedeng kontrahin ang nanay ko, hindi naman po ako yung nagpunta sa lisensya at sabihin na ‘oh eto ang pangalan ko’,” he added.
Marcos said that he couldn’t understand why some people are criticizing him and accusing him despite his kind acts to the needy.
He also revealed that he tried to check the records of a certain ‘Norman Mangusin’ but he said that they didn’t found any records that would prove that the latter did something illegal.
“Pinahangap ko nga po kung may record po yung Norman Mangusin na kasamaan, eh wala naman pong ginawa, so ano yung kinokonekta niyo sakin?” he stated.
The businessman denied that he’s also not planning to enter politics.
He also told his critics on social media that they’re always welcome to continue their actions against him.
Marcos also admitted that he faced several legal battles in the past, but claimed that he won all of those cases.
According to his critics, Francis Leo’s real name is Norman Mangusin and accused him of selling fake gold bars.
Joel Romualdez posted a picture of an alleged letter from the office of former First Lady Imelda Marcos
“I have received continued disturbing reports about the above-mentioned persons using my name and my family’s name to collect unauthorized campaign donations, selling of fake gold certificates and using photographs and films/video coverage to associate themselves with me and my family for unauthorized and unscrupulous business practices,” Imelda wrote on the document.
“Mr. Francis Leo Marcos has claimed that he is the son of Dr. Pacifico Marcos, the brother of my late husband and that he has been chosen by the Marcos family as the custodian of alleged wealth which we are not in possession of; he uses my photographs on social media after a photo opportunities and has produced a film positioning him as a signatory to the world’s wealth; he targets wealthy Chinese businessmen who want to do business in the Philippines and attracts them thru charitable causes,” she added.
The Marcos family didn’t confirm nor deny the existence of the letter.
In another Facebook live video, Marcos revealed his relationship with the former first family.
“If you ask me ‘how you are related to the first family?’ I’ll just simply said, it is a ‘PRIVILEGE COMMUNICATION’, but I have not the liberty to divulge any information pertaining to the first family,” Marcos said.
