Jake Zyrus’ mother, Raquel Pempengco, clarified that she was a fan of SB19 member Stell Ajero after she commented on the performance of the male singer David Foster.

It can be recalled that Raquel received criticisms on social media after she made a comment about Stell’s performance of “All By Myself” and even mentioned her daughter.

“Gulatin mo din mga tao. Mag Charice Pempengco ka ulit… Hahaha joke lang.. Pero infairness magaling si Stell Ajero, mala Jed Madela din.. But still don’t compare with Charice.. Opps just saying lang ha.. it’s my own opinion,” she wrote.

After receiving criticisms on social media, Raquel clarified that she was not trying to compare her daughter to Stell. She even claimed she was a fan of SB19 due to their popular song, Gento.

“Proud na proud ako kasi napadikit ang picture ko kay Stell Ajero,” Raquel wrote. “I’m an avid fan ng Gento SB19 since narelease yan at di ko alam na member siya ng SB19,”

“Actually mula ng nawala ang idol ko di na ako nanonood ng mga local music. Ipinasa lang sa akin kaya ko nakikita then I was so surprised when I heard him singing the money note all by myself that David Foster wanted too to Charice Pempengco now Jake Zyrus.

“No Comparison for both of them, their both amazing in their own genre,” 

A man couldn’t stop his tears while sharing how his savings worth P350,000 were reportedly wiped out from his passbook account.

The complainant, Gleen Cañete, shared his complaint via Facebook, saying that he was saving the said amount of money for his child’s college education.

According to him, the bank informed him that his account had no balance left even though he hadn’t withdrawn anything from it.

He was also told by the bank staff that his money was withdrawn online, which, according to him, was impossible as his account was passbook only.

The issue sparked again concerns among netizens about the safety of the money they stored in the bank.

Several days after he published his complaint, Cañete shared the good news to his followers, saying that the bank already recovered his money.

However, some netizens were not satisfied with Cañete’s post, saying that he should have been elaborating on the actions taken by the bank to solve the issue.

“Pakiexplain na lang po para sa lahat ng BDO customer if ano ginawa nilang action para maibalik un pera…Since lumabas na un video nyo marami din po nagalala… Dhil din po sa live nyo nadagdagan followers nyo kaya you owe them your explanation,” netizen Simbahan said.

Cañete refused to give his explanation due to confidentiality.

Carlo Aquino and Trina Candaza’s child, Mithi, reportedly met her stepmother, Charlie Dizon, for the first time.

An Instagram photo uploaded by Charlie and Carlo’s friend, Ramcee Gonzales, shows the newlywed couple carrying a child, believed to be Mithi.

Some fans were happy if Charlie and Mithi were already getting along as part of the co-parenting setup between Carlo and Trina.

In a past interview, Trina explained why she opposed the possibility of a meeting between Mithi and Charlie.

“Ang sa akin lang, kapag kukunin niya si Mithi, gusto ko, si Mithi lang sana. Mamili siya kung kanino niya i-spend ‘yung time niya. Sa daughter niya, sa new girl niya, or sa friends niya. I think Mithi doesn’t deserve na may kahati sa time,” she explained.

Content creator Basel Manadil, a.k.a “The Hungry Syrian Wanderer,” shared an unfortunate incident he experienced during his transaction with a Chinese man.

In his vlog, Basel said that he ordered some packaging materials for his restaurant. However, despite paying full price, all of his orders were not fulfilled.

According to him, the product was worth P600,000, and he even asked for an additional P50,000 to process the order.

“I have been scammed by this Chinese man here in the Philippines and its terrible the amount we’re talking about 600,000.00 pesos plus 50,000.00,” said Basel.

“I just wanted to order packanging for YOLO for my restaurant from ” ALIBABA” and I enden up scammed with almost 600k plus 50k with tha damages that happen in my Restaurant, that Chinese person that I ordered from scammed me and blocked me in “What’sapp, leave the GC is terrible,” he added.

He tried to contact Alibaba to complain, but the online platform didn’t respond helpfully.

Basel even said that the seller was a verified company on the online platform and enjoyed positive reviews.

“We got scammed inside the website of Alibaba imagine it’s even verified company, verified seller which so many good reviews they scam us so beware mga “Tao” if ever you’re going to be in this situation,” he stated.

Basel was a foreigner who decided to live in the Philippines permanently.

Aside from creating content, Basel also managed a food business.

Several netizens expressed their disappointment after social media personality Renz Joshua Baña, a.k.a Baby Giant, was chosen to replace Romy “Dagul” Pastrana as the adult cast of Goin’ Bulilit’s new generation.

In some Facebook comments, netizens expressed their concern that many children would look at Baby Giant’s past social media posts, which showed him flirting with other women influencers.

“Hindi wholesome ang image ni baby giant para isali sa going bulilit. May mga vlog yan na kamanyakan,” netizen Gid said.

“Sana chineck man lang muna nila direk Bobot & production staff ng Goin Bulilit ang social media neto & mga content nya bago man lang siya cinast & pumalit kay Dagul,” netizen Pauilo commented.

However, some people also defended Baby Giant, saying that the production team of Goin’ Bulilit may have already set guidelines for the social media personality.

“Guys alam ko may mga content sya dati na adult themed pero now part na sya ng new going bulilit for sure may mga rules and guidelines sya sa contract nya lalo na kung gagawa sya ng sarili content since ang i rerepresent nya eh wholesome / kids show kaya lets give him a chance. Matanda na po si sir Dagul, hayaan natin mag shine ang iba,” netizen Ali said.

It can be recalled that Dagul was already not in a good physical condition to work again.

As of writing, Baby Giant has yet to respond to the people who doubt his qualifications to become part of Goin’ Bulilit.

Arnold Clavio shared his current condition after suffering from stroke last week.

In his Instagram post, Arnold said that he was currently undergoing physical theraphy to return from his normal movements.

He admitted couldn’t move the ride side of his body properly.

“Sa proseso ng OT , sisikapin na maibalik ang sensor o pakiramdam ng aking mga kamay . Dahil sa hemorrhagic stroke , labis na naapektuhan ang aking kanang kamay,” Arnold wrote. “Sa tulong ni Dave , isang occupational therapist , binigyan niya ako ng mga exercises para bumalik sa normal ang pakiramdam ng aking kanang kamay,” 

It can be recalled that Arnold survived the condition, which only 1 out of 4 person could survive.

“Sabi ko, titigil ako sa unang ospital na makikita ko. Kaya mula Antipolo, maingat ako na nag-drive sa Sumulong highway hanggang makarating ako sa Emergency Room ng Fatima University Medical Center,” said Arnold in his past post.

“Doon inasikaso ako at after ilang test, lumitaw na ang blood pressure (BP) ko ay nasa 220/120 at ang blood sugar ko ay umabot ng 270 . Inirekomenda na isailalim ako sa CT Scan. Doon nakita na may ‘slight bleeding’ ako sa kaliwang bahagi ng aking utak. At sa oras na yon , ako ay nagkaroon na ng ‘HEMORRHAGIC STROKE’!” he added.

Raquel Pempengco reacted to SB19 member Stell’s viral performance, during which he wowed the netizens with his duet with Canadian composer, producer, and musician David Foster.

In the said performance, Stell performed “All By My Self” and successfully reached the right notes.

Many netizens couldn’t believe how a man like Stell sang Celine Dion’s classic, which was commonly only performed by female singers.

In her Facebook post, Raquel couldn’t stop herself from comparing Stell to her daughter, Charice Pempengco, who also worked with David in the past.

“Gulatin mo din ang mga tao, mag Charice Pempengco ka ulit,” said Raquel. “Pero infairness magaling si Stell Ajero, mala Jed Madela din, but still don’t compare with Charice,”

“Oops just saying lang ha, it’s my own opin ion dadami na naman basher ko,” she added.

It can be recalled that Raquel has already expressed in the past that she is done hoping that his daughter will still reverse his transition as Jake Zyrus.

“Huwag na po tayong umasa pa na babalik pa ang dating CHARICE..ako na po ang magsasabi nyan…Naniniwala po ako sa himala pero na kay Jake na ang desisyon para baguhin nya ulit sarili nya,” she said.

The controversial presenter of this year’s Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards was facing another issue after she grabbed a TiktoClock contestant’s hair on June 19, 2024.

In the TiktoClock’s segment, “Beat My Birit,” Sheena was shown performing with Tanghalan ng Kampeon contender Rica Maer when she suddenly pushed the head of the latter.

Sheena was not yet satisfied with her work, and she tried to pull Rica’s hair several times.

Rica tried to play along with Sheena, but even some hosts, including Pokwang, were visibly worried about what they were witnessing.

Meanwhile, Sheena addressed the public and apologized for her behavior during the said episode.

“Magandang gabi po sa inyo. I would like to say sorry for disappointing you with my actions kanina sa “beat My Birit.” Sheena wrote. “Hindi ko naman po alam kung paano ko i-eexplain ang sarili ko HAHHAA pero manghihingi lang din po ako ng Panalangin sa inyong lahat,” 

“If you guys have any questions regarding the situation. I will answer them. Let me know as well. How I can pray for you,” she added.

Meanwhile, Rica has yet to give her thoughts on the incident.

Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and singer-actor Ronnie Liang went viral on social media after their video recirculated on the internet during their visit to Dinagat Island in July 2022.
