Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin talked about the rumored problem between celebrity couple Yen Santos and Paolo Contis.

Paolo went viral recently on social media after his videos while having ‘sweet moments’ with his co-host Arra San Agustin circulated, sparking speculations that the actor had already found his next target.

While Paolo insisted that his gestures towards Arra were only part of the script, netizens couldn’t stop asking if the two were already having special feelings for each other.

In her program ‘Showbiz Now Na!,’ Cristy and his co-hosts Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez talked about the possible effects Yen experienced while watching her boyfriend being sweet to another woman on national television.

“Ang daming nagsasabi na walang manloloko kung walang magpapaloko,” said Cristy. “Alam niyo na nga ang track record tapos lumalapit pa kayo,”

Cristy also said that people cannot be blamed if they think Paolo had other intentions for Arra.

The veteran columnist also talked about the possibility that Yen’s action in the past was already taking a toll on her.

“Di ba noong naghiwalay sila ni LJ [Reyes] ang sinasabi ng mga tao, ‘Hay naku, Yen, karma is just around a corner. ‘Yun ang sinusumbat sa kaniya [Yen] ngayon ng mga tao,” she said.

As of writing, Yen has yet to give any statement on the issue.

Raquel Pempengco believed that Jake Zyrus would not receive any help anymore from Oprah and David Foster because of the latter’s new appearance as a transman.

In an interview, Raquel became frank about rumors that Jake was trying to convince Oprah and David to help him recover his career after leaving his former self, Charice Pempengco.

However, Raquel believed that there was no chance for Jake to receive assistance because of his decisions.

“Hindi naman totoo ‘yon, na bumabalik… kasi siyempre ikaw na rin ang mag-iisip, pinutol na nila ‘yong ano… kung ako rin naman si Oprah, bakit ko pa tutulungan ‘yong ganiyan ang hitsura kung hindi na talaga siya ano sa market,” said Raquel.

“Kung imamarket nila ‘yong katulad niya (Jake) mahihirapan sila,” she added.

According to Raquel, David even asked her about Jake’s current capabilities, asking her if her child could still sing on a high note.

But Raquel believed that Jake’s transition had already affected his voice range.

Even if Jake had already lost his Charice’s voice, Raquel said that she would still welcome her child anytime and admitted that she was waiting for his return.

As of writing, Jake has yet to respond to the interview of his mother.

Netizens spotted Yen Santos at a mall amid the issue being faced by her boyfriend, Paolo Contis, due to his sweetness towards his co-host on Eat Bulaga, Arra San Agustin.

In a Facebook post shared by staff from one of the establishments visited by Yen, the actress was seen looking for gadgets without her boyfriend.

Netizens couldn’t stop asking why Paolo didn’t accompany Yen as he had during their dating days.

Breakup rumors between Paolo and Yen circulated online because of the former’s action towards Arra.

Some fans also sympathized with Yen for the actions being done by her boyfriend on television.

However, Paolo clarified that he only followed his sketch on Eat Bulaga, which included his sweetness towards his co-host.

There were also some reports that Paolo and Arra were trying to form a love team like AlDub.

But some entertainment reports, including Cristy Fermin, were not convinced that Paolo and Arra would also become as popular as AlDub due to the ‘playboy’ image of Paolo.

Former Quezon City Councilor and actor Roderick Paulate clarified that he was not put behind bars after he was convicted for allegedly hiring ghost employees during his term as a public official.

During an interview with Ogie Diaz, Roderick answered some accusations against him, including the misconceptions he received from the netizens after the ruling was published.

Roderick insisted that he would not taint his reputation for money.

“Hindi ko sisirain ang pangalan ko sa pera,” said Roderick.

It can be recalled that Sandiganbayan sentenced Roderick to at least 10.5 years up to 62 years in confinement for allegedly hiring ‘non-existent’ employees during his term.

They also found that the employees hired by Roderick have no birth certificate, no residence, and also not registered voters, a sign that they do not exist.

Content creator group ‘Tukomi’ captured the attention of the netizens after they made a video during their visit to ‘Francis Maglolona’s’ grave.

Members of Tukomi created a spoof version of Francis’ grave, giving it ‘Maglolona’ surname instead of Magalona.

Francis Maglolona was a business establishment known for selling tarpaulin materials, and it went viral after Abegail Rait’s revelation about her alleged relationship with the late artist.

The said parody video was based on the viral performance of Jeno Sotto at Francis Magalona’s grave in Marikina.

It can be recalled that many people thought that Jeno was also an illegitimate child of Francis after singing ‘Lando’ in front of the master rapper’s resting place.

However, Jeno clarified that he only dedicated a song to his idol and not proclaiming himself as the son of Francis.

Jeno became controversial, and some netizens even questioned his motive for his unannounced visit to the grave of the master rapper.

Tukomi is known for making prank videos, but their career almost ended after they were charged due to one of their contents.

The authorities got very important information about the possible whereabouts of Miss Grand Philippines contestant Catherine Camilon.

According to the report published by GMA News, CIDG Group Director Major General Romeo Caramat Jr. revealed that Camilon was seen bloodsoaked while being transferred from her car to another vehicle.

The witnesses said that they were answering the call of nature when they witnessed how the persons of interest were holding Camilon.

“Umiihi du’n sa lugar, nakita n’ung suspect natin, lumapit sa kanila, at tinutukan sila ng baril,” Caramat said.

They believed that Catherine’s disappearance was connected to her love life.

Authorities were now gathering more evidence against the persons of interest, including a cop who’s the alleged boyfriend of Camilon.

Meanwhile, it’s not yet known if Camilon is still alive or not, but her relatives are still hoping for good news.

They’re offering P250,000 to anyone who could give an information about the exact location of Camilon who was last seen missing while walking inside a mall.

Eat Bulaga hosts Paolo Contis and Arra San Agustin were reportedly being conditioned to launch another ‘AlDub’ phenomenon.

It can be recalled that in 2015, Kalyeserye, where the tandem between Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza was introduced, became one of the most popular segments of Eat Bulaga and even achieved a world record.

According to veteran columnist Cristy Fermin, it was possible that Eat Bulaga wanted to replicate their success in 2015 amid the stiff rating contest between them and other noontime shows.

However, she believed it would not be successful compared to what they achieved in 2015.

“Kung gimik ito na mala-AlDub dahil nagtagumpay ang Eat Bulaga noon dahil kina Alden Richards at Maine Mendoza, hindi na po ito panahon na ganoon. Ibang klase na po ang labanan ngayon. Alam na nating kumilatis kung ano ang de-color at kung ano ang puti,”” said Cristy.

“Ibang klase na po ang labanan ngayon. Alam na nating kumilatis kung ano ang de-color at kung ano ang puti. Hindi magandang gimik ‘yun sa isang programa para tumaas,” she added.

Paolo already confirmed that his sweet gestures towards Arra were only part of their ‘sketch’ on Eat Bulaga.

The controversial host also denied that he was already developing feelings towards Arra.

Actress Kim Chiu shared the amount she paid to treat her It’s Showtime family for a dinner in Hong Kong.

In her post, Kim shared the receipt of the food she bought for her colleagues during their visit to Hong Kong, which reached more than P105,000.

Even if she was a successful actress already, Kim couldn’t hide her surprise at the amount she paid for the said dinner.
