“Nung nalaman ko si Jodi yung nililigawan niya, si Raymart mismo, nag-usap kami. Nagtutuksuhan kami, ‘Mag-boyfriend ka na. Mag-girlfriend ka na,’ ganun. Kasi nag-break na sila ng unang girlfriend niya. Nung una, okay lang, okay lang sa akin,” said Claudine.

Show ni Willie Revillame sa PTV at IBC, hindi na umano matutuloy: “Maraming demand itong si Willie”

Willie Revillame’s show on PTV-4 and IBC 13 was reportedly being postponed indefinitely after reports that the television host was facing issues during his talks with the government-owned channels.

Cristy Fermin disclosed the information on her show ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ where she claimed that Willie’s show was not pushing through anymore due to the host’s demands.

According to Fermin, Willie was used to asking demands like what he did during his negotiations with ABS-CBN, TV5, and GMA.

However, unlike privately owned networks, Willie’s situation was different now as government-owned channels had processes to follow.

“May mga kumakalat kasi na maraming demand itong si Willie. Kasi noong nasa ABS siya tapos dito sa TV5, GMA… talagang nasunod ang kaniyang gusto,” Cristy said.

It can be recalled that several lawmakers questioned the decision of PTV and IBC to hire Willie as their host.

IBC 13 President and CEO Jose C. Policarpio, Jr. explained that they wanted Willie to be part of their channel so they could easily reach the ‘lowest of the lowest among the people.’

Reports also indicated that Willie was not set to receive any salary from the government.

Even the sponsors would be handled by Willie as the PTV and IBC were under the Commission on Audit.

Lolito Go receives criticism from netizens after he calls Miss Universe 2023, having ‘too much inclusivity’

Writer Lolito Go went viral on social media after he criticized the changes that happened on Miss Universe.

This year’s Miss Universe allowed a married contestant, Miss Universe Colombia Camila Avella, two transgender participants, Marina Machete of Portugal, and Rikkie Kollé of the Netherlands, and also let plus-size contestant, Miss Universe Nepal Jane Garrett to compete for the crown.

While many fans celebrated the inclusivity of Miss Universe 2023, Lolito was not impressed with it, saying that it was too much to handle already.

“May transgender na, may mga nanay na, may plus-sized na rin sa Miss Universe. I’m all for inclusivity pero hanggang saan ipipilit ng pageant organizers yung inclusivity na ito just to drive home a romantic point? It becomes predictable na and funny to some extent eh. What’s next? Ano pa ba ang hindi represented–PWDs, buntis, senior citizenz, conjoined twins? Sige lang, try nyo lang kami gulatin every year. Trip nyo yan eh,” said Lolito.

However, some critics of Lolito said that Miss Universe changes were only part of the progression.

“Our society is progressing. This also means that we are continuously asking the meaning of beauty, what it means to become a beauty queen, womanhood, etc. The body of knowledge in rationalizing pageants is expanding and even growing its roots to “cater” this generation’s new thinking and beliefs,” netizen Levi Miscala remarked.

It can be recalled that the CEO of Miss Universe, Anne Jukapong Jakrajutatip, is also a transgender.

The decision fueled the rivalry between the Philippines and Thailand and even accused the organization of ‘cooking’ the results.

Netizens also noticed that one of the social media pages of Miss Universe mistakenly included Michelle on the top 5 list, then replaced her with Miss Thailand later on.

“Miss Universe posted it and put it in their story, but why was it Michelle Dee who was featured instead of the Thai contestant, and why was it deleted after people started questioning it? Was it just a mistake or was there a cooking show that took place?” netizen Belle asked.

“WAIT??? ARE WE ON THE SAME PAGE???? THAT GOWN IS THE BEST AMONG ALL OF THEM. WHAT HAPPENED??? They are really afraid that the Philippines might devour the mic when she enters the Top 5 so they had to get rid of her. ROBBED!!!! #MissUniverse2023,” netizen Paige said.

Some even theorized that the current Miss Universe CEO, Thai businesswoman Anne Jukapong Jakrajutatip manipulated the result to favor her country.

Meanwhile, several celebrities including Rhian Ramos, Vice Ganda, and MJ Lastimosa couldn’t stop reacting to the result of the pageant.

“Something 🐟🐠🐡 [fishy],” Rhian said.

Michelle’s aviation-themed costume went viral on social media due to its unique concept, which aimed to promote the Philippines.

“The concept itself came from Michelle Dee, she wanted to highlight Philippine tourism. With her national costume, one of our goals was to invite people to come and fly to the Philippines. The solihiya pattern was suggested by Michelle Dee… Aside from the Cordilleran woven fabric, ang dami kong first time sa national costume to be honest. It’s my first time doing fiberglassing technique, first time to work with solihiya pattern, at first time ko incorporating hydronic mechanism and LED lights sa isang costume,” Michelle’s costume designer, Michael Barassi said.

However, Rendon, who claimed to already changed his internet persona, criticized the said costume and even called out its designer.
