“Tulungan niyo kami!” KAPA seeks help from three Senators they endorsed in 2019 elections

KAPA Community Ministry International spokesperson Danny Mangahas wanted the help of the three Senators who received the endorsement of their “religious group” in the 2019 senatorial elections.

Mangahas mentioned Senator-elect Christopher “Bong” Go, Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Imee Marcos, saying that KAPA is seeking the support of the three politicians.

According to them, those three politicians cannot deny that they’re aware of the support they gained from KAPA.

“Mas gusto naming bigyan diin ‘yung tatlong inendorso namin na senador, si Imee Marcos. ‘Di naman nila pwedeng ikaila sa amin ‘yan kasi nagpapasalamat sila doon sa timeline ng social media,” Mangahas said who also mentioned Bato and Go.

However, Dela Rosa denied that he received any help from the religious group, which allegedly using a Ponzi scheme to gain followers and “donations.”

“I must tell you straight in the eye, no! Wala…wala…I haven’t received any campaign funds coming from Kapa,” Dela Rosa said in an interview with ABS-CBN.

Meanwhile the two other Senators, Marcos and Go are not yet releasing a statement on the claims of KAPA.

KAPA is known for releasing inaccurate news to their followers to give them false hope in the middle of the crisis that they’re currently facing.

On Wednesday, they claimed that President Rodrigo Duterte already approved the operations of KAPA. However, on Friday, the Chief Executive lambasted KAPA and its founder Joel Apolinario, accusing the religious group of committing large-scale estafa.

Apolinario also made a statement that KAPA also received support from Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. The presidential daughter is not yet confirming the claims of the KAPA founder.

KAPA founder rides helicopter to join GenSan Rally, claims that Duterte supports him

KAPA Community Ministry International Pastor Joel Apolinario debunked the claims that he already escaped the country by attending the prayer rally of his so-called religious group in General Santos City on Thursday.

Apolinario used a chopper to travel at the Acharon Sports Complex in Brgy. Calumpang and stayed there for 10-15 minutes to talk to the 100,000 attendees of the rally.

During his speech, Apolinario claimed that President Rodrigo Duterte and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte already gave their blessings to him to support KAPA.

“Sa ating presidente na tumulong upang magpatuloy ang Kapa. Nakita niya ang paghihirap ng mga tao, kaya naawa ito.” Apolinario said.

“Pasasalamatan ko ang pagmamahal niya sa inyo dahil ayaw niya na maghirap tayong lahat at bumalik sa kahirapan. Kung ano ang ating tinamasa sa loob ng tatlong taon, gusto niya itong ipagpatuloy.” he added.

He also made his followers wait for the President as he claimed that Duterte is coming to the prayer rally.

KAPA followers who believed that the President is coming waited for hours despite bad weather.

However, the President didn’t come and the emcee of the prayer rally made an alibi that the Chief Executive postponed his plan because of the bad weather.

The claims of Apolinario contradicted the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte who’s also in GenSan to give land titles to 13,000 people.

In his speech, President Duterte lambasted Apolinario and accused KAPA of scamming poor people.

He also warned his audience not to invest in KAPA if they don’t want to lose their hard-earned money.

“Those who have already spent a lot of money on Kapa, I’m sorry. The operation will stop or shall stop immediately. Bantay ka sakin Pastor,” Duterte said.

Apolinario is facing multiple charges for allegedly committing large-scale estafa.

“Yari!” Congress decides to freeze ABS-CBN franchise renewal bill

The House of the Representatives decided to freeze the bill which aimed the renewal of the franchise of the television network giant ABS-CBN Corp.

House Bill 4349 had been pending since November 2016, and ABS-CBN franchise will expire nine months from now or on March 20, 2020.

The Committee on Legislative Franchises did not submit the report before the 17th Congress ended, so it’s up to the 18th Congress if they’re going to push for the bill or not.

If the 18th Congress fail to pass the said bill within the next nine months, ABS-CBN got no choice but to close all their operations in television and radio.

According to the report of Philippine Star, the problem on the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN could only be resolved if they’re going to address their company’s issue with President Rodrigo Duterte.

They have to thresh out and resolve their issues with the President. That’s the key to get the bill moving,” the lawmaker who didn’t want to disclose his name said.

The President is known for criticizing ABS-CBN several times in his speeches, claiming that the said television network helped Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to air a television ad which trying to damage his reputation during the 2016 Presidential election.

He said that he would block the franchise renewal of the said television network.

“Hindi ko palusutin. Iyong franchise niyo matatapos. But let me ask you questions first. Kasi ako talaga mag-object na ma-renew kayo. Alam mo bakit? Magnanakaw kayo, estapador,” Duterte said.

Duterte also addressed ABS-CBN Chairman Emeritus Gabby Lopez and accused the businessman of stealing his money.

“Gabby Lopez, I paid ABS-CBN P2.8 million…You accepted my money, you never bothered to show my propaganda (political advertisements). After the elections, you didn’t return the money,” Duterte said.

Erwin Tulfo apologizes again to Bautista: “I am a nobody, boses lang po kami ng mga inapi”

Journalist Erwin Tulfo finally released a statement after several days of being silent on the issue between him and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista.

In his statement titled “Living and working dangerously, as always” Tulfo again apologized to the retired General and narrated how the issue affected not only his life but also the lives of his relatives.

According to him, he faced an untouchable man in the Duterte administration, which is considered as a famous General and Mindanao war hero.

He also narrated that his family already received enough criticisms that could be compared to the badmouthing he did to Bautista.

“I have, along with my entire family, received just as much badmouthing from Sec. Bautista’s friends and supporters as I had verbally offended the honorable Secretary for which I readily apologized. I am truly sorry but whether or not I’m forgiven is beyond me.” Tulfo said.

Tulfo mentioned that during his job as a journalist, he already faced scalawag cops and soldiers and other powerful personalities who did a wrong thing.

He also said that he’s considering himself as a “nobody” who only help the poor people.

“The Tulfo brothers are no bigshots by any stretch of imagination. Boses lang po kami ng mga inapi at ng mga nakaligtaan sa lipunan,” he said.

“WE ARE NO HEROES. However, we can’t just simply turn our back to those who ask for our help because were taught by our parents to stand up and fight for those who are weak and helpless. And for decades we have committed to rendering that kind of public service in our small way, though it will not earn an epitaph at Libingan ng mga Bayani,” he added.

“Indeed, It’s a dangerous country for hard-hitting journalists, as it is for cops and soldiers but we’ve got a lot of work to do to make this country a better place to live for everyone,”

Tulfo made a statement several days after Sec. Bautista asked the journalist to donate in 19 groups connected to the Armed Forces of the Philippines to prove that he’s already regretting his actions committed on May 28.

Sen. Lacson thinks Duterte can be “President for life” if he can deliver two of his promises

Senator Panfilo Lacson believed that President Rodrigo Duterte could become the chief executive of the Philippines for life if he succeeds in delivering two of his latest promises for his people.

In a tweet, Lacson thinks that the latest promises of the President are already unbelievable, saying that Duterte vowed to deliver his two latest missions within a short time.

“If PRRD delivers on just two promises he recently made: (1) to cut travel time from Cubao to Makati to 5 minutes within 6 months and; (2) to eliminate flight delays in NAIA within one month, for being superhuman, he deserves to be president for life,” Lacson said in his tweet.

On Saturday, President Duterte promised that he would improve the traffic in Metro Manila by December this year, claiming that within six months, that travel time going to Makati from Cubao, Quezon City would be cut to five minutes.

“You don’t have to worry about traffic… Cubao and Makati will be about five minutes na lang,” Duterte said in a television interview with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

“You just wait. Ayaw kong mag-ano —but things will improve… maybe God willing, December smooth sailing na,” he added.

Another promise of the President is to end the flight delays at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) within one month.

“President Duterte talked to airline and NAIA officials regarding the cancellations and delays to know whether there are flight diversions and if affected passengers are given incentives to ease their inconvenience,” the statement said.

“The President vowed to come up with a remedy within a month,”

DOJ Sec. Guevarra orders to secure airports and pier to prevent KAPA founder Joel Apolinario from escaping

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra ordered the authorities to prevent KAPA-Community Ministry founder Joel Apolinario from escaping the country following the order of President Rodrigo Duterte to close down the said religious group that offers a return of investment from the donations of their fanatics.

In a statement, Guevarra said that the authorities are already doing their job to trace Apolinario’s whereabouts who’s known for allegedly scamming a total of P50-B from his so-called followers.

“Ongoing operations now. Expect arrests to be made soon,” Guevarra said in his statement.

Yesterday, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided the house of Apolinario and its two offices in Sarangani province.

The authorities confiscated documents and other materials used by KAPA to ask investments to other people.

Meanwhile, Atty. Riolen Gillesania, lawyer of Apolinario insisted that the raid was illegal, explaining that KAPA is a religious group and the government cannot meddle with their operation.

“This is an attack by the state against a religious group,” Gillesania said.

Apolinario has already been charged with syndicated estafa for luring people to invest to his “church”.

While KAPA is a registered religious group, it still got a flag from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for soliciting investments with unrealistic interest rate.

President Duterte ordered KAPA to be close down after Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy told the chief executive about the existence of the said religious group.

To the CIDG, the police, the special investigating teams including NBI, that is pyramiding. That is why you shut them down and haul them (to courts) upon my orders,” Duterte said

“Imagine, your P100,000 earns P30,000 a month? Even our Bangko Sentral can only give 3%, and that’s annual. I have been telling the Filipino people that if what is being promised to you is something like heaven it’s fraud,” he added.

PMA Alumni Association declare Erwin Tulfo as persona non grata

The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) declared Erwin Tulfo as persona non grata after he berated Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Bautista in his radio show on May 28.

According to the document released by PMAAAI to the press, it said that Tulfo “viciously maligned” the DSWD Secretary who’s also a product of PMA, saying that the journalist’ statement against their member was a violation not only for the broadcasting ethics but also to the cybercrime prevention act of 2012

“The PMAAAI takes offense and strongly condemns the boorish behavior and derogatory remarks of MR. Tulfo that spilled over the ranks of the active and retired Officers, Men and Women of the MUP thereby assailing the very core of service to the country and people of which the PMAAAI squarely stands for,” the statement reads.

“Now, therefore, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that the Board of Directors declares as it hereby declares, MR. Erwin T. Tulfo as PERSONA NON GRATA by the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PMAAAI),” the statement added.

PMAAAI said that Tulfo or his proxies are already barred from attending any activities or programs sponsored by the PMAAAI.

When the rift between Tulfo and Bautista started, PMAAAI is one of the first groups who condemned the journalist for his statements.

They even offered legal assistance to Bautista if he’s planning to file charges against Tulfo.

As of writing, Tulfo is not yet releasing a statement on the decision of PMAAAI against him.

President Duterte wants PhilHealth President and board members to resign before 3pm

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered all Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) President Roy Ferrer and board members to submit their resignation on Monday before 3 PM.

The information was given by Senator-elect Christopher “Bong” Go who said that if the said officials of PhilHealth failed to follow the order of the President, they might face more trouble.

“If Philhealth officials don’t want to submit courtesy resignation, they will be terminated,” Go said.

Duterte was also scheduled to meet with several officials of PhilHealth to discuss a serious issue about alleged corruption.

After the meeting, Go said that the President was very disappointed with what’s happening with PhilHealth.

“Gusto ni Pangulo ng clean slate sa pamunuan ng PhilHealth. Kailangan rin maklaro kung paano nakalusot ng napakatagal na panahon ang ganitong anomalya ng fraudulent claims sa pamamalakad ng kasalukuyang mga opisyal. Inutusan ng Pangulo ang NBI na imbestigahan ito sa mabilisang panahon,” Go said.

“Sa ngayon, plantilla officials muna ang temporary na mamamalakad at maa-assign sila under the Office of the President,” he added.

Several days ago, Duterte expressed his disappointment after he found out that PhilHealth is still paying to a dialysis center for already expired patients.

The owner of the dialysis center WellMed was also invited to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters for allegedly being involved in the “ghost dialysis” scheme.

Under the said scheme, the clinic receives payments from PhilHealth for dialysis treatments for deceased patients.

President Duterte also wanted to see the owner of WellMed personally to teach him a lesson.

NBI and PNP join force to close down KAPA-Community Ministry

The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ensured that they’re going to do their best to follow President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to close down KAPA Community Ministry Inc.

NBI Region 10 Regional Director Atty. Patricio Bernales Jr. said that they’re already planning on how they would close down KAPA.

Meanwhile, members of PNP are already doing their case build-up against KAPA.

KAPA which owned by a certain Pastor Joel Apolinario got hundreds of followers, they promised their members that they will get 30% “love gift” each month. It means that if you give 100,000 pesos, you will get 30,000 pesos monthly.

On a televised interview, President Duterte ordered NBI to close down KAPA and other groups who allegedly scamming their members.

“When it is good to be true, it is fraud. Biro mo ‘yung P100,000 mo would earn P30,000 a month? Ni bangko na ‘yung Banko Sentral natin magbigay, 3 lang porsyento,” he said.

“Eh ito, kayong mga Pilipino, ilang beses ko na kayo sinasabihan? What is being promised to you is something like heaven, walang tao dito, walang bangko, maski ‘yung Bank of America can afford to pay you P30,000 every month for your P100,000.” he added.

“To the CIDG, the police, the special investigating teams including NBI, that is pyramiding. That is why you shut them down and haul them (to courts) upon my orders,”

Meanwhile, Pastor Apolinario insisted that what they’re doing are legal and the President is referring to another group that is pretending to be KAPA.

“Hindi po tayo un. ‘Yung ipina-stop niya ‘yung lang walang kaukulang papeles na biglang sumulpot na parang kabute, mga walang legalidad. Tayo ay legal po, may papers tayong ipakita,” said Apolinario said to Kapa followers.

“Bilang member, maging matatag po tayo kasi legal at isa po tayong religous group,” he added.
