A French vaulter who went viral on social media received a generous offer from a company to appear on their website in exchange for $250,000 (14-M PHP)
According to the report published by TMZ, the company CamSoda was offering Anthony Ammirati a hefty amount of money to do a daring act on their platform.
“If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw: your talent below the belt,” said CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker.
“As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course,” he added.
It can be recalled that Ammirati failed to achieve his 5.7m target during the qualifiers of pole vault after a part of his body was caught by the bar on his way down.
Ammirati described the incident as a “big disappointment” for him as he failed to reach his gold medal dream due to unforeseen circumstances.
Carlos Yulo’s financier and mentor, Cynthia Carrion, received netizens’ praise after being instrumental in the Filipino gymnast’s two-gold medal finish during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In a Facebook post, Rodel Revilla shared the story of Carlo’s meeting with Cynthia Carrion, the current president of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP).
According to Revilla, Carrion had been financing young people in the country for two decades, as she believed that someone in the Philippines would become a world-class athlete.
“Carlos was just a young boy from Manila when Cynthia first saw him at a local gymnastics competition. His performance was electrifying; his movements were precise and filled with an energy that set him apart from his peers. Cynthia, attending the event to scout for talent, immediately knew she had found a gem,” said Revilla.
“After the competition, she approached Carlos and his family. She introduced herself and offered to sponsor his training and education. Carlos’s parents, who worked tirelessly to make ends meet, were initially skeptical but soon realized the sincerity in Cynthia’s eyes. They accepted her offer, marking the beginning of a partnership that would change Carlos’s life forever,” she added.
Carrion also shouldered some of the expenses for Carlos’ training in Japan under one of the best coaches in the world.
“Carlos faced moments of doubt and fatigue, but Cynthia was always there to remind him of his potential. She became more than just a financier; she was a mentor, a confidante, and a second mother. She taught him the value of perseverance, the importance of discipline, and the power of believing in oneself,” he wrote.
“Carlos’s dedication began to pay off as he started winning medals at international competitions. Each victory brought him closer to his ultimate dream: the Olympics. Meanwhile, Cynthia continued to support him from the shadows, never seeking the limelight for herself. She believed that true success was about empowering others to shine,” he added.
Carrion was still in her quest to find more athlete who could become the next Carlos Yulo and will bring honor to the country.
“Ang daming taong tumulong sa akin. Si Ma’am Cythia, lahat po inaaway niya para lang suportahan ako. Siya ‘yung tumayong magulang ko po, naniwala po talaga sa akin,” Carlos said.
Mrs. Angelica Yulo was reportedly planning to hold a press conference tomorrow to speak about her rift with her son, Carlos Yulo.
According to Arnold Aguirre of Quad A Marketing Communications & Consulting Inc., Mrs. Yulo would meet the press at Heroes Hotel – Rooftop in Manila around 10 AM.
“Ms Angelica Yulo will make her statement and clarifications, while Atty Raymond Fortun will head the said conference,” Aguirre said.
The press conference was announced following Carlos’ statement against his mother.
According to Carlos, Mrs. Yulo used the money he gained from his allowance and cash incentives without his permission.
“Yung principle po kasi dito ay wala sa liit o sa laki ang amount incentives na ginalaw niya, kundi po sa pagtago at paggalaw niya ng walang consent,” he said.
However, Mrs. Yulo denied the statements, saying she had the bank statements to prove she didn’t pocket her son’s money.
As a response, Carlos said he also had the statement to prove that her mother was using the money without his knowledge.
“Bukod sa incentives at nasa kanya rin po kasi ‘yung bank account ko sa monthly allowances sa pag-gi-gymnastics ko,” he stated.
“Nung nakuha ko ‘yung bank account na ‘yon, doon ko nalaman na inuubos niya po ‘yung laman non, nasa akin po ‘yung mga bank statements nung withdrawal na ginagawa niya po,” he added.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo addressed his mother after their issue was publicized on social media.
In his statement, Carlos said that he was acknowledging the congratulatory message made by his mother, but he hinted that he was not yet ready to meet her.
“Nakita ko po sa balita na kino-congratulate niyo ko, kung genuine po talaya kayo ma, maraming maraming salamat po ina-acknowledge ko po ‘yon pagko-congratulate niyo sakin,” he said.
“Pero nagpa-flash back parin po ‘yung mga masasakit niyong sinabi sakin at mga hindi niyo pag wishwell sakin,” he added.
Despite his disappointment towards his mother, Carlos wished for his mother’s well-being.
“Ang message ko po sa inyo ma, mag-heal kayo, mag move on at napatawad ko na po kayo long time ago, pinagpe-pray ko na maging safe kayo palagi at nasa maayos kayong kalagayan diyan lahat,” he said.
It can be recalled that Mrs. Yulo went viral on social media after her post praising Japan’s performance during the 2024 Paris Olympics was uncovered by netizens.
Japan won during the said competition while Carlos was only twelve, which the netizens interpreted as a post against her own son.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo finally made a statement following his misunderstanding with his mother, Angelica Yulo.
In his post, Carlos clarified several of his mother’s claims, including the incentives he was supposed to receive.
Carlos debunked his mother’s claims that he only received P70,000 during the World Championships 2022, saying he gained six-digit cash incentives from the government.
He was also not informed by his mother that she already received the incentives, which made him disappointed.
“Yung principle po kasi dito ay wala sa liit o sa laki ang amount incentives na ginalaw niya, kundi po sa pagtago at paggalaw niya ng walang consent,” he said.
“The fact na nilihim nyo sakin na kinuha nyo na pala yung pera nung world championship dun palang ma kinuhaan mo na ko at nag sinungaling ka na.
“Ewan ko kung ano iniisip mo ma pero kahit gaano pa kaganda yung intention mo ma maling maling yung ginawa mo,” he added.
Carlos also defended his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, from being called ‘red flag’ by his mother, saying that Mrs. Yulo quickly judged his partner due to her skimpy outfit.
“Yung about sa about na red flag po si Chloe na sinabi ng mama ko, hinusgahan niya po agad sa pananamit at sa pag-akto po niya. Magkaiba po ng kinalakihan, unang-una lumaki po si Chloe sa Australia, at ‘yun po nakagisnan niyang culture at ibang iba po talaga sa Pilipinas kung paano tayo gumalaw, magsalita at manamit,” he said.
He also said that Chloe was gaining her own income and didn’t need to rely on him.
Carlos also said that his mother still held all of his bank accounts, so it would be impossible for him to give them to Chloe.
“Bukod sa incentives at nasa kanya rin po kasi ‘yung bank account ko sa monthly allowances sa pag-gi-gymnastics ko,” he stated.
“Nung nakuha ko ‘yung bank account na ‘yon, doon ko nalaman na inuubos niya po ‘yung laman non, nasa akin po ‘yung mga bank statements nung withdrawal na ginagawa niya po,” he added.
MRS. YULO DIDN’T LIKE CHLOE SINCE THE START.
Carlos also said that her mother didn’t like Chloe even though they had not yet met.
“Unang-una ayaw na talaga niya kay Chloe kahit hindi niya pa po nakikita or nakikilala in person, and mas nagkalabuan po kami naglagay po ako ng boundaries sa relationship ko kasi talagang pinaglaban ko po si Chloe dahil gusto ko po siya eh,” he said.
He also addressed her mother’s statement, who feared that Chloe might seduce Carlos’ siblings when they stay in the same room.
“Ang dumi niya po mag-isip at inappropriate ‘yon para sa akin at disrespectful po ‘yon para sa akin at si Chloe,” he stated.
CHLOE DIDN’T MANIPULATE CARLOS TO STAY AWAY FROM HIS FAMILY.
The gymnast also denied that Chloe manipulated him to stay away from his family, saying that they even tried to spend their time with his siblings.
They also showed some of the messages sent by Carlos’ sister, Jorielgel who also went viral recently for her posts against her brother.
Carlos also said that his mother also met with Chloe’s family twice and even made a group chat so they could bond.
However, the group chat became an arena after Carlos’ relatives started to take swipes against Chloe.
However, despite the treatment of Carlos’s family towards Chloe, the family of the latter still tried to respect Yulo’s family.
CARLOS MESSAGE TO HER MOM.
Entrepreneur and social media personality Xian Gaza was not yet done with Carlos Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.
In his Facebook post, Xian asked Chloe to read his post about encouraging people to find a partner who would not disrespect their parents.
According to Xian, a partner must become the peacekeeper instead of trying to worsen the situation when it comes to family problems.
“Ang piliin mong partner ay hindi yung aawayin ang nanay mo para lang mapatunayan sa lahat na tama kayo. Ang piliin mong partner ay yung ipapaunawa sa nanay mo kung bakit siya mali hanggang sa magkaayos kayo. Yung partner na mamamagitan, hindi yung makikipaglaban,” said Xian.
“At the end of the day, kahit balik-baliktarin mo pa ang mundo, nanay yan ng asawa mo kahit gaano pa kasama ang ugali niyan. By ignoring her and deleting her from your lives without disrespecting her, mabe-bless ng husto ang inyong pagsasama. Kayo na ang umiwas sa negative energy ng biyenan mo kasi malas yan sa buhay,” he added.
It can be recalled that Chloe’s response to Carlos’ mother gained mixed reactions from the netizens.
“Mother dear, I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this… pero wait ka lang, tapusin lang po namin yung vault finals-paki-off na your comment section po ah,” said Chloe.
Some of them found Chloe’s response disrespectful, but others believed that she was just trying to be protective of her partner.
The girlfriend of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo made a response to social media personality Xian Gaza’s post about questioning her gender.
In his post, Christian shared with his followers that he stalked Chloe San Jose and confirmed that she was indeed a real woman.
“Inistalk ko ngayon ‘yung jowa ni Mr. Gold Medalist… babae pala,” he wrote.
While Christina didn’t mention Carlos in his post, Chloe voluntarily reacted to Christian’s post and even said that she would show a birth certificate to prove her gender.
It can be recalled that netizens were now discussing the misunderstanding between Chloe and Carlos’ mother, Angelica Yulo.
In an interview, Mrs. Yulo tagged Angelica as a red flag who allegedly manipulated her boyfriend to stay away from his family.
Mrs. Angelica Yulo specified why she was not on talking terms with her two-time Olympic gold medalist son, Carlos Yulo.
In an interview with GMA News, Mrs. Yulo answered Carlos’s accusations, including her alleged mismanagement of the cash incentives received by the athlete.
According to her, she had sufficient evidence to prove that she didn’t put her son’s money to her wallet.
“‘Yung tungkol doon sa pera na ninakaw ko, nilustay, winaldas sa luho ko…sinabi ko sa kanila na walang halong katotohanan lahat,” said Mrs. Yulo. “So kung sa perception ni Caloy meron, sabi ko sa kanya willing akong maglabas ng evidences, ng mga deposit slips na meron ako ngayon.”
To prove her point, Mrs. Yulo pointed out that their lifestyle didn’t change even after Carlos received millions of pesos from winning competitions.
She also revealed that Carlos called her a thief, which became the reason for their rift.
“Masama yung loob ko, nando’n ‘yung pain na sabihan ka ng anak mo ng magnanakaw,” she said.
“Gusto kong sabihin na asan ‘yung ninakaw? Gano’n pa rin naman kami, nung di pa siya nagkakapera, nung nagkapera siya walang nagbago sa lifestyle namin.” she added.
Despite their issues, Mrs. Yulo clarified that she was still happy with his son’s achievements.
It can be recalled that Mrs. Yulo also blamed Carlos’ girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, for causing the rift between them and even called the social media personality a ‘red flag.’
Independent contractors and head writers Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz would ask GMA Network not to dismiss them after Sparkle actor Sandro Mulach filed a complaint against them.
In a statement, Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque said that Sandro’s accusations against her clients were unsupported by evidence.
According to the lawyer, Sandro’s allegation against Jojo and Richard contradicted the evidence presented by the actor’s camp.
“Mr. Nones and Cruz dispute all the allegations in the complaint and move for the dismissal thereof not only for lack of evidence, but worst due to the fact that the own evidence of the complainant is contrary to his allegations in the complaint,” Atty. Garduque said in a text message she sent to Abogado.com.ph.
Atty. Gardque pointed out that Sandro claimed that Nones and Cruz had invited him to visit their room after the GMA Gala 2024. Still, the text message records indicated that the actor had asked the independent contractors if he could visit them.
She said that her clients would prepare more evidence to prove their innocence.
It can be recalled that Sandro accused Nones and Cruz of taking advantage of him after the GMA Gala.
GMA released a statement following Sandro’s revelation, saying they’re taking the matter seriously.
The legal counsel of Carlos Yulo’s mother informed the netizens to stop sharing statements made by his client against the two-time Olympic gold medalist.
In a statement, Atty. Fortun said that the statements circulating on social media attributed to Mrs. Yulo were false and not true.
“The public is hereby informed that ALL statements made attributed to Mrs. Yulo and/or any of her children that are critical of, disparaging or tend to tarnish the accomplishments of her son, CARLOS EDRIEL YULO are untrue, fake, and mere products of imagination and fantasy by heretofore unknown individuals,” said Fortun.
Mrs. Yulo was also reportedly planning to ask for assistance from the authorities to find the people spreading false information against her.
Atty. Fortun also said that even the netizens who commented and shared the posts may also face consequences.
“The public is hereby reminded that the sharing of these fake posts, as well as harsh and libelous comments made in said posts, are also actionable under the Anti-Cybercrime Law. It is advisable that the public DELETE their comments to avoid prosecution,” the lawyer said.
Mrs. Yulo also clarified that she was proud of her son’s achievement.
“Finally, Mrs. Yulo and her family wish to assure the public that they share in the jubilation of the entire nation in the achievements of CARLOS EDRIEL and look forward to welcoming him home. I hereby quote her own words: “GOOD FOR HIM KASI ETO NA UNG PINAPANGARAP NYA AT ETO NA UNG PINAKAHIHINTAY NYA AT NAG PAID OFF LAHAT NG PAGHIHIRAP NYA.”
