Liza Soberano’s road manager and aunt Joni Lyn Castillo-Pillarana went viral on social media after the actress revealed the breakdown of the commission she was taken from her talent fee during her career in the Philippines.

On Monday, March 13, Liza revealed that aside from her former talent manager Ogie Diaz, Joni Lyn was also taking 20 to 15 percent commission from her earnings as an actress.

“I started with him [Diaz] at 2012 and then up until year 2015 or 2016 which was when I was seventeen thirty percent po ‘yung commission niya sa akin, my Tita Joni was taking twenty percent and Star Magic was taking ten percent,” said Liza.

“I also pay US taxes alongside my Philippine taxes because I’m a US citizen and a Filipino citizen so my total take home was around thirty percent,” she added.

Liza also revealed that her former road manager was the one who suggested lowering the commission they were getting from her.

Because of being mentioned by Liza, Joni received criticism from actress fans, asking her why she was taking too much commission from her niece.

“Ms.

Joni then explained her side and apologize to the people who were thinking that she was wrong for taking commissions from Liza.

Joni said.

Dating Agri Sec. Manny Piñol kontra sa 4Ps: “The Philippines cannot be a Welfare State”

Piñol in his past post said that 4Ps was doing more harm than good because it only teach the people to be lazy and wait for their monthy assistance to arrive.

“Indeed, there were success stories but these were overshadowed by accounts of reduced agricultural productivity because of lack of workers especially during the week after a pay-out, money spent for other purposes and ATM cards hocked to usurers.” Piñol said.

According to him, he already suggested before to turn 4Ps to encourage its beneficiaries to be productive. However, he was criticized for being against the said program and even called him ‘anti-poor’.

He also criticized the politicians who were supporting the current system of 4Ps because it gain them votes from the poor.

“The 4Ps is like a Tiger on whose back politicians ride on to win elections. They could not dismount and abandon 4Ps because if they do they will lose in the next elections.” he said.

“Our biggest problem now is that our economic planners would like to provide a quick solutions to problems of inflation, poverty reduction and job generation.

“Worse, almost every politician looks to dole-outs as the easiest way of convincing voters to support them because they “support the poor.”

“With the National Debt nearing P14-T, however, I believe the time has come for our leaders to dismount from the Tiger and show courage to amend this expensive and ineffective strategy of helping the poor.

Piñol mentioned a famous proverb: “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

The former Agriculture secretary also believed that Philippines cannot afford to assist the poor forever.

Meanwhile, Ogie was also wondering why Liza mentioned that he was not getting any commissions from her.

According to the talent manager, he didn’t say anything about not getting commissions from his former talent.

“Saan ba galing kasi yung di na ako nakakakomisyon?” he asked.

“Komisyon for the last 2 years? Meron. Saan galing ang komisyon issue?” he added.

She also asked Liza why she didn’t talk to Ogie privately before releasing a statement on social media.
